Save-A-Lot Meat and veggies

I have always loved y'all but I can no longer shop with you if you continue to sell crappy food! My Chuck eye steak was the worst I have ever put into my mouth. Like rubber it sucked and not always cheap even with you guys. Let me tell you the can veggies and the nastiest I have ever tried to eat. Just plan nasty I would did not even give it to the junk yard dogs or the wild animals you could not do anything in the world to make the green bean ever be edible. Believe me I tried I used Cajun seasoning on it and butter then some more salt and pepper and I just couldn't do. Oh yeah your not saving anything at all now and I'll go to Publix get yumo fresh food for same prices! I want my money back. Not happy at all

Save-A-Lot Rude cashier

I was at the South Park Ave., Hamburg, NY, 14075 location this morning. Between 9:40-9:49am I had the displeasure of hands down the rudest cashier. I politely said hi, she just looked at me and said nothing (okay, I get being a cashier isn't great, fair enough) I went to get a box while she just threw my items in her cart (she literally threw my items in the cart, hard). When she was cashing out the customer before me she complained about her job, the older woman customer in front of me was taking an extra minute to get her money and said the young man behind me probably want s to get home (I was in a hurry but I wasn't going to be rude or pushy about it. I understand sometimes people need an extra minute to find their money.) So anyways, I come back to the register and she just gives me this angry look. She takes the cart with my items in it and angrily shoves it down 2 registers while giving me a look like "take a walk a**hole."
The cashier's name is Donna, a 40-some year old white woman, about 5'4" tall, blonde biwl-cut looking hair. Just the absolute rudest jerk of a cashier

Donna should greet each customer with a smile. A smile always stimulates a smile. Your smile is your most powerful asset and sales tool. Do not act mechanical. Try to be natural. A comment or two from you will put the customer at ease immediately. THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT. AND IN ALL CASES YOU SHOULD GIVE THE CUSTOMER THE BENEFIT. The customer is not always tight however the customer is always the customer. Therefore more rights and benefits accompany the customer than anyone else. The customer is better than right. The customer creates a need for your employment. Without the customer you would not be needed. The customer should never be cheated, slighted or ignored. Any attitude of a customer being a bother is very rude! Give the customer anything that they want. Don't argue with the customer. The customer is your first priority. The customer pays your salary. If it wasn't for the customer you wouldn't have a job. You must attend to your customers needs at all times.

Save-A-Lot Hostile work environment

Good morning, my name is alonzo and tamiea green is an employee of your franchise I am writing in regards of a matter that I have witnessed with the store manager joe and ms. Green. Recently tamiea was admitted to the hospital on 9/3/20 and per her doctors order was for her to take a few days off. We arrived at save alot at approximately 8am with the excuse note from the doctor tamiea handed joe the letter from the doctor and joe told her to get to the register disregarding the doctor orders for her not to work also there where another save alot employee who witnessed the whole incident he threatened her lively hood saying that he was going to write her up and not to give her paycheck and for her not to come to work. I am writing this to say is that he doesn't need to be in a mangement position

Save-A-Lot Management

This incident occurred today (8-23-2020) at Save a lot (Pittsburgh Commons Save A Lot 2209 W 12th St, Erie, PA 16505). My husband and I went in with my emotional support animal (We have been there 1-2 time(s) before with him and had no issues). The moment we walked in, holding my ESA, one of the employees said "uh no dogs allowed in the store". I let her know that he was an ESA. She proceeded to ask where his vest was. Under PA law emotional support animals are not required to have any certification nor are they required to wear a vest. Employees may ask if it is a service animal and what it's function is. My husband and I continued to walk through the store. We got into isle 2 where another employee was standing at the end staring at us. He turned out to be the manager and he said, from half way down the isle, "I don't allow dogs in my store". The employee had already informed him that my dog was an emotional support animal so he knew full well and still told us he couldn't be there. I have shopped at this location since I was a child. We have never had an issue with my ESA here or at any store thus far. I will never be shopping at Save A Lot again. I was publicly called out and embarrassed. We left claiming we would never shop here again. This caused me a great deal of stress and anxiety. (Reason why I have a service animal in the first place)

Save-A-Lot Service

I have been in save a lot on cleveland ave south canton ohio every time I have been there sign posted no mask entry I have seen people with no mask employees wearing masks not covering their nose or pull down completely. In state of Ohio you are supposed to wear masks any time you in pubic or working around people I guess my question is how can you enforce the rules when your employees dont follow the rules.

Save-A-Lot Cashier

While in this store the lady checking out was having a problem getting her card to go through... The cashier was getting frustrated and came from behind to help her... She ended up smacking the ladies hand away! The poor lady looked shocked as did i. It ended up that her card dock had frozen up... So the next lane opens... (looked like a manager) named joe... He pulls out his phone while ringing up the guy in front of me! There are no excuses for their behaviors! This was at 1:34 on 8/8/20 and people were in the store with no mask... This should be manitory by now!

I believe it. I just had a cashier get hostile with me for no reason. All I did was say hello (she ignored my greeting and shot me a dirty look) I grabbed a box real quick and she just threw my items in her cart hard, shoved my cart down about 8 feet and looked at me like take a walk jerk. I boxed my stuff and left the cart in the middle of the store where she left it. I'm not putting the cart away for her after that

Save-A-Lot Customer service

I went in today to get something & when I went to pay there was a guys already waiting in line & nobody was at the cash register. Then we heard a lady day. I'm coming in a very annoyed tone of voice. When she started scanning the guys stuff she was sighing the whole time & giving him attitude & she did the same exact thing to me. But she was also rolling her eyes. Didnt even bother to say good morning or say thank u. It will be the first & last time that I will ever shop at this store again. I myself work at a hotel & know that customer service is a must especially in retail & that's definitely a big thing that this store & person is lacking & it's a very disappointing. I cant remember her name but it's the lady that has a punch of piercing & dresses in goth. Her appearance wasn't not an issue but her negative attitude definitely was

I just had a negative experience with a rude cashier today myself. Not even slightly rude, just as rude and hostile as a cashier can be. It's nice seeing I'm not the only one, but this type of behavior is unacceptable. I'm awaiting the outcome of my complaint case against Save-A-Lot, but I'm probably done shopping there. I will not tolerate rude cashier's, it's one thing if I'm behaving like a jerk and get attitude for it, but it's beyond unacceptable when I'm polite and haven't even said anything

Save-A-Lot Ignorant managers causing me stress when I already suffer from bipolar disorder

The date of the incident was on July 5, I was called into the office because I wouldn't speak to the most ignorant manager I ever had to deal with. I'm bipolar and I told them that. I was screaming and crying my eyes out because I didn't worry about this person. I have complained about him several times, and nothing was done about it. I was recently out of work because of a dental problem. This manager accused me of bashing him when I was out of work. I was out of work because my face was swollen because the medication I take is causing my teeth to fall out. I wasn't thinking about nobody in that store when I was out, the only thing I was concerned about was getting to the dentist to fix the problem. That and getting my penicillin, and painkillers. I quit after that because its not worth the stress. Several people have quit because of this person. I didn't want to quit but my health is more important

I thought when you work, you work for a paycheck, not to make friends and talk all day. All I ever did was a good job. The problem really was that person thinks of me as a child, I am not a child. I am 40 years old, and again I work for money not people.

Save-A-Lot Rude employee

On Sunday, I entered the Sav a Lot store on Richardsonn Rd (#23291).
Upon checking out I asked the cashier to wait until I had all iems on the checkout rolling surface before she loaded up another cart so I did not have tto lift my 2 Ltr. Soda purchase to that other cart.
A man placed an empty cart at the checkout, without being asked. I told him that that was not needed.
At the other checkout, the checkout person GINGER turned around and started yelling at me (in front of a laarge line of customers). She shouted rude things at me and continued throughout my time in the checkout.
I asked for her name and she replied GINGER G-I-N-G-E-R.
I told her that would make a complint about her... she said SH-T I really don't care!
I have been a loyal Sav a Lot customer for over 15 years and plan to start shopping at Aldi's.
I refuse to be insulted by your store employees that do not have courtesy for customers.
I plan to NEVER subject myself to rude Sav a Lot employees.
I did nothing to deserve this rude treatment.

Sav A Lot should be VERY SHAMED to have an employee like GINGER! So Rude!
I will spend my dollars where I am not treated so rudely.
BTY: My cashier Kaitlyn was very professional. She heard the rude statements from GINGER and just shook her head.
When bagging my items, she kept looking at me and GINGER.
I'm assuming that Kailyn couldn't believe how GINGER was treating me.
GINGER is a terrible employee! Train GINGER and your employees on the proper treatment of customers or your company will lose more customers.
Kaitlyn said (when leaving) 'Thank you for shopping at Sav A Lot"'Come again'
I turned around and said"I will NEVER shop at Sav A Lot again."If I was the manager and had a 'rude" employee like GINGER... she would be terminated immediately!

Save-A-Lot Employee from customer

May 4 2020

I approached the cashier, short heavy weight, may be slightly retarted, very loud.
I stopped behind the line marked on the floor waiting for the customer ahead to leave, due to the coronavirus.

I started to step ahead for my items to rung up. She immediately start yelling at me super loud that other customers looked at me as if like I did something to her.

I was in shock and jumped back. She was so loud that I hardly knew what she said. My hearing is excellent for an 74 year old man.

She then grabbed her spray bottle almost in a threating way. I moved to the next line. I realized she was going to wipe everything down.

I complained to the next cashier man. I wanted to talk to someone. Just to tell them she needs an altitude change when speaking to a customer. I realized on leaving other customers going out were taken aback. When I went into the parking lot a couple were talking about her to saying they don't like her she is always that way.. Another man said they don't like her and avoid her.

I have seen her at Walmart and other places with her husband many times she is also hollering and bossing him around { their own business }.

I have shopped in this store for as long as it has been here. three four times a week plus the mount morris store about two or times a week. Spending $50.00 to $100.00 each time. Both stores are in Livingston county ny.

If they had worked for me they would be in the office asp. Their paycheck depends on the customer.

I owned and ran many companies retired when I was 44. Now 74.
I am complaining today because I am great pain today sure did not need this today. A polite saying could have been " give me a second sir I have to [or will} wipe the counter and glass shield first ". Just like the other cashier said to me when I went to him.

Save-A-Lot Grocery store

I noticed as I went in to the Keyser savealot that the grocery carts wasn't being disinfected. There was nothing provided to do it myself.. Up the one freezer isle water was leaking onto the floor, looked like a cow path where people were running through it. A lot of the stuff in the store was priced wrong ate wasn't priced at all. And some of the stuff didn't even match the sign that was on it. Nobody was around to even ask the price and even if there was you have to take a cart load of stuff to get a price check.

Save-A-Lot Cashier manager

I went into save alot in Kenmore ny 3640 Delaware ave. A lady came into to the who looked liked a Puerto Rican or mexican and she started telling the people in save alot wayne is a male prostitute. I never seen her a day in my life.

In western ny they have people that spreading rumors about people all around town. They call it bullying. Bullying is where people spread rumors about a people they dont even no. They also have development disabilities which can range from mental disabilities and physical disabilities. I am not a male prostitute I have a four year degree and two white women who said the rude comments to me are probably prejudice. When I went to shop in the back of the store a white female associate yelled out does everyone know that wayne is male prostitute. I don't know anyone at save alot someone been going into the store slandering my name telling people at save alot my name. After I went to cash my items at the cashier register. The white female cashier told your a male prostitute. Her name is cheryl. when I got home I called the store to complaint about the cashier. The woman on the phone ask me what register was I at and what was the cashiers name. I told her cheryl. She told me that she was the person on register and she did not said anything like that. Cheryl is a lier. She told me that she a manager and she would never said anything like that. I am a African American and have not such racism.

Save-A-Lot mistreated by cashier and manager to my husband and my daughter 17 years old

Good morning my name is Blanca I been visiting this store for almost 3 years
as you know we are having difficulties, I have a family of 5 I have diabetes and other medical problems plus I have three kids with asthma, as you can see in the news things are not getting better. 3 weeks ago we bought groceries from Walmart and we are 8 family members in total including a 2 year old baby

My husband and my daughter who is 17 years old consider a minor, went to Save a Lot and bought some groceries, they bought supplies to last at least 3 weeks, we are afraid to go out side not because we are illegal, good thing we all are US Citizens my three kids born here is because of this virus that is going around.

I will like to know what is the limit of groceries that people can buy if we are a family of 8 what is the limit that can we buy, and I will like to ask to cashiers and managers not to cover each other when they mistreat a customers specially in this dangerous time, the cashier yell to my husband husband because of the items they bought and the cashier graved the shopping card out of my daughter's hands in a very rude way and kept yelling to my husband and mistreat my daughter, they asked for the manager and he also yell and them and mistreat them this happen today between 11.00 a.m and 12.00a.m my daughter called me crying and she said mom be try to by the groceries that can last three week I do not want you to go out I am afraid you can catch the virus and died, my daughter explains the manager why they bought those supplies.

I there is a limit for customer put a sign and telling customers their limits and this is not the first time this happen in the summer time I was mistreat too but I kept quiet but not this time. cashiers and managers need to put a sign at the door so customers can read not because we are Spanish that does not mean we can not read English.

I am very disappointed and my daughter who is 17 a minor child ask the manager in a polite way because she has manner and she is a student with A all classes and honors too she asked him why there was not a paper at the door and he never answer her question and walked away turning his back to her. I am not going back to that store ever again and they need to respect people even if the customers are green color we all customers need respect. specially in this time we do not need and I am not going to accept mistreat because of color or race. sincerely Blanca [protected]

Save-A-Lot Raw dough on the inside

Hello,
I hope that this message finds someone that will do whatever it takes to make this issue right. My husband bought your store brand Corndogs and they are raw dough in them throughout the inner part of the cornbread coating and thats absolutely disgusting because this is being baked in the oven and biting into the first one and it felt mushy. What if that was my daughter and she bit into this and she was to eat raw dough and get sick? I'd be doing far more than complaining I can ensure you that. The world we live in is having enough issues and for your company to be selling those things that are most definitely not safe to eat, just upsets me to my core. I would like to hear from you about this matter, ASAP.

Save-A-Lot Stocking done during during the day and blocking aisles

Every time I go into your store. Pallets full of product blocking Isles. Stocking Personnel may see you there and not move their car or trolley. This particular store prices have gone up over $0.30 per item consistently. products that are normally kept in stock either run out or no longer carried. anytime I mention my concerns about something to clientele at the store I get met with bad attitudes. on the weekend there's only one check out person when they're the busiest. there could be up to four people stocking product while eight people are in line waiting to be checked out. I went to Save-A-Lot to save money now their prices are higher than Walmart. product selection is terrible. also you have to pay $0.25 to rent a shopping cart. You also have to pay for shopping bags !
Good luck with POOR MANAGEMENT ... I'LL BE AT WAL-MART !

Save-A-Lot service/key holder

the problem is a key holder named, brenda tokarz, very rude to employees and to customers, this store is about to loose all of there employees, do to this employee she is very lazy and does nothing to help out at this store.she trys to boss employees around by telling them there jobs they been doing there jobs for over 15 years with this company.i know this because i have family that is also a key holder there, and everybody loves to work with.i really dont know what you want to do about this issue, but the owner is doing nothing.david rhodes ceo of store.thank you for your time

Save-A-Lot Horrible customer service

Hello I am writing to you regarding my recent visit to this save a lot, I was having a hard time with getting my WIC idems, the staff told me that it was a computer program problem, it is a new system and I understand however the staff was harrible, treatment of consumers is very important,
I was disrespected, demeaned, put down and treated horrible by the staff male at this store, I will not return for any of my family needs,

Save-A-Lot The employees

The employees do not greet me in a kind way. In fact they act like Im a nuisance. But someone behind me they will act like they are in love. Or if they are across the store they yell and talk. I have been going there for a YEAR. I heard the manager talking about a customer after she left the store and the manager said she should go to the ghetto where she belongs. When I told her I heard her she said nothing. I've worked in this industry in the past and never would I treat customers like this. Its racists as far as I can tell. Im not that person.

Save-A-Lot emilee a cashier

I was just at save alot here in Pekin, Illinois me and my friend were checking out...Emilee the cashier was checking out and she was whispering something to the manager which could not see her name tag
. She was a heavy set blonde hair lady Emilee the cashier looked at us and said is ur name Sheria we both said no it's not cuz supposably I stole alot of items from this store.. and I am banned from this store.. I said it was not me.. and my name is not Sheria.. my name is cher nothing close to the name she was saying I said not me I promise u that.. from save alot really? Well anyway the lane was getting very long and Emilee wud not give up and kept on saying I'm not trying to be mean but u are banned cuz u stole a bunch of stuff from this store.. all I could keep saying it was not me... She said yes it was no it wasn't she was trying to get confirmation from her manager who was standing behind her and she kept on saying I know nothing about this... This Emilee the cashier kept on going on about it as she was continuing to check us out... I felt very embarrassed and belittled I almost started crying and so did my friend that I was with...there were about 6 or 7 people in line behind us at this point and like I said earlier her manager would not back her up... we have been to that store the last 4 or 5 days in a row.. and nothing was said to neither one of us... She said she wud call our police Dept.. but manager at this point just walked away cuz she cud see the tears wailing up in my eyes and my face at this point beat red due to embarrassment..I just at this point walked away and started bagging groceries cuz every customer that was in that line was intently listening... I'm sorry but my sister is banned from a store in East Peoria.. and she was served with papers and everything saying she was banned I was never served with papers or nothing cuz the customer she was talking about was not me.. could u plz do something about this situation..
