This is to bring to your attention about our harrowing experience with regard to our two missing baggage which was delivered to us on 7th day of our vacation in Italy!

I and my family embarked on our 9 days vacation to Italy on Saudi Arabian Airline SV1017 to JED and SV201 JED to FCO on 21stJune, 2017. While checking in we were told that the baggage can be collected at FCO airport. But, on reaching FCO airport after waiting for more than one hour we realized our baggage was missing. On inquiring it was told to us that our two baggages were still in JED airport and the next flight from JED to FCO was on 24th June. They asked us to lodge complaint and assured us that they will deliver the baggage on 25th June at Ramda Naples. They also gave us a contact number asking us to contact for compensation.But, we never ever got connected whenever we tried.Since we were constantly travelling follow ups were done locally by acquaintance and after several follow ups we received baggage only on 27th June noon at Florence!

Kindly note that our vacation was for 9 days and we received our baggage which had all our clothing, expensive watches, medicines, toiletries etc at the end of 7th day! This was mentally and economically taxing for us. We had to shell out money (approx 800-900 Euros) to start from scratch at the start of vacation coz we only had the clothing we landed in!

The most frustrating part was that nobody from the airline tried to get in touch with us to let us know about the status of our baggage or talk about the compensation part. We being in a foreign country had to seek help locally to know the status of our baggage as we were constantly on the move.
On 29th June night when we arrived in Riyadh (flight SV208) we tried lodging complaint at the airport customer service but, they hardly heard us and asked us to lodge complaint through email.

Totally disappointed with the manner in which the entire episode was handled. Would really appreciate if you look into this matter and do the needful at the earliest.
