In December 225, I was scheduled for endoscopy for continues stomach aches and anemia. The procedure was aborted due to undigested food from previous day and I was asked to reschedule. The doctor said, not to worry, he will not be paid for the procedure, hence no cost to me. Soon after, I was billed for $570 dollars which I paid, assuming it was for my time spent at the hospital for the aborted procedure. Once I paid the $570, which I believe I should not have been billed for, I received another bill for $2,800. A total of over $3,300 for an aborted procedure that needed to be rescheduled for another $3,300. I have asked multiple times to change the code on the billing so that I don't have to pay over three thousand dollars for a procedure that was never completed. Stanford Billing and administration refused to cancel this bill and is demanding the money from me. How does it make sense for me to pay this amount of money for absolutely nothing. I am so stressed that I cannot sleep, eat or think due to this large amount of bill hanging over me for an aborted procedure. I would like my bill to be retracted and canceled. Thank you for helping me, I am in desperate need for someone to see this from my point of view.
Desired outcome: Cancellation of the aborted endoscopy procedure.
