Sanford Health review: Noisy staff and hipaa violations

My boyfriend had to come into the ER on 9/26/2023, and ended up having to stay the night. I know there are protocol to say but you should pay attention to the client and what makes them anxious, not what other people do when they are anxious. Every nurse had a different way of answering him questions, and even his parents didn't know what was going on till they had to leave! And it;s still not clear. This should be brought to the patient's attention right away, this is a violation... each and every patient has rights, when you ask someone if they were hurting themselves intentionally and they say no, it is your duty to respect that.

The doctor he had was good, he didn't jump around and said exactly what he should. A+ for the doctor and the night tech/nurse siting by the door, he was quit and respectful the whole shift.

During the night I could hear plain as day the other nurses sharing their duties with the security guards and what not, talking about other clients there. This is just WRONG!

The day shift 9/27/2023 wasn't as bad but the tech/nurse in the doorway was disrespectful and rude, she needs better training at her job or a new position. She was putting together some cart in the hallway and was totally loud and obnoxious, you could hear everything she was putting together and talking about her coffee drink and what not. I had asked her if they had any contact solution because my contacts were foggy from all the crying, she gives me this look up and down and says I will see. very rude! I don't care if I am the patient or not! I am the one paying the bill ! Later I asked her is she could get my boyfriend water, and said it is for him. She has the nerve to come back and say I was going to say you have to get it yourself, the nurse being her went and got it. Sorry for my rant but this was the WORSE experience ever at this hospital I will not come to Er for this ever again!
