Ross Dress for Less amanda manager in lewisville tx ross store

I attempting to return an top today with a receipt within the 30 day time period of my purchase at Ross. The reason for the return is the tie of the shirt was coming unraveled and I told the Manager, Amanda I when I washed it it would only get worse. She was very very RUDE! She told me that I had to drive all the way out of town (in Texas) where I purchased it because she couldn't return it, and I live in Lewisville and shop there all the time! I attempted to explain I shopped there and she didn't want to hear it and walked off while I was talking to her and YELL "HAVE A NICE DAY!" real tacky. I do not feel she is professionally enough to be a store manager. Please call me regarding this matter.

Thank you
Sheree Johnson

Ross Dress for Less interview

Good evening, to whom it may concern, I'm not sure if this is the right place or not for this issue. Today I was scheduled for a job interview with Ross Dress for Less(6/30/19).
I knew the name of the manager I was to meet with as all this was addressed on the phone call. I showed up for the interview 10 minutes early as required, I walked into the store and two managers were standing there near the entrance, I asked for the manager by name whom I was to see and the two women looked at each and then back at me and one said this is she mentioning the name. Immediately that manager said be with you later and she took off and went and began conversing with a gentleman in the store, walking to the back of store, looking up front at me and then walking away out of sight. After 5 minutes everything in my being said "LEAVE" but I didn't, after 10 minutes she appears in the back look at me I'm guessing to see if I'd left, walked back up front talked with someone else before finally asking me am I ready? I remained calm and we walked back to the office again, she never welcomed me or acknowledged me, the interview took less than five minutes, the whole time I kept eye contact with her and it seemed to me she was trying to discourage me from taking the job. I came to this conclusion when she said we have a job in the back stocking, some people don't want to be up front on the floor, ( the job I applied for was on the sales floor) this job is seasonal (When I applied for the job seasonal was never mentioned), the most you can get is five hours this job is part time.(also not mentioned in the application). I am thorougly convinced race played a big part in this interview. I am of African descent. This was also mentioned on my application. I don't understand why I treated this way.

Ross Dress for Less not permitted to take carts out of store

At store number 1751 on 628 2019 at 1:17 p.m., I cashed out at register six. I filled both baskets of the cart and I tried to leave with the card full. A blond cashier woman, informed me that I could not take the card out. I explained to her that I was handicapped and I had problems walking. She told me to pull my vehicle up. I explained my car was the first car it was already up as far as I could. I asked her if I can have help taking my stuff out to my car. She told me she didn't have anybody. so I took my card up to her at the register and ask her to please watch my stuff while I start taking the bags out two at a time. The second time I came back in and nice lady explained to me that she would help. There is handicap parking but you're not allowed to take the card out next time I won't spend as much money there. My email is [protected]@yahoo.com. please contact me back my name is Marcia candella.

Ross Dress for Less I am complaining about a employee

I am making a complaint on a employee by the name of courtney at the brandon fla store #813-664-2646 who very rude to me another customer today around 9:15am she was rude to a man customer in front of me who asked her if he could see the size of something he was returning for his wife to get a different size and she rolled her eyes at him as is he was stupid or aggrevating her and he was an older gentleman and when i was checking out i purchased two big vases and she just rung my order up and took my money and gave me my change and just looked at me crazy and i politely ask her was she gonna bag my purchases and she stated in a rudely tone we dont have any bags and she said i will just put them in these little bags with a angry tone then i asked her could she double my bags and she looked like i was aggrevating her and she almost broke one of my vases trying to bag it. She should have said unfortunately at this time we dont have any big bags but i could package them in little bags if thats ok with u and its sad that a big company as Ross doesnt have the proper wrapping paper or proper big size bags for customers who spend their hard earning money at you guys establishments and to be told you have to to your merchandise out the store like we are thieves or animals this is inconvenient and embarrassing and we cant even push the buggies out side to our car when purchases big items burlington has wrapping paper and proper size bags and customer service is much better there so i guess me and all of my family members and co workers will have to stop shopping at ross. And go there because its embarassing and inconvenient and i will be making reviews and sharing my experience on social media

I also encountered an extremely rude employee in the Ross store located in Collierville, TN. Very nasty person named Cashena. She calls herself "Cash" like that is something cute. I also returned an item and asked the "Dummy Cash" if she needed my credit card for the return she said very rudely, I DON'T NEED IT, YOU NEED IT. I asked her name and she replied "WHAT IS YOUR NAME", I gave her my name and she then said her name was Cash. I called her a "DUMMY" because if she had been intelligent she would have known how to treat a customer. She called me a Dummy and I rebutted about how she was so evil because she looked like a man. She actually have the nerve to tell me to get out of the store. I told her to get out--looking like a man. Needless to say the co-workers tried to cover for her as I called to speak with the store manager who was never available for 7-10 days. The store is obviously not being managed. I called a different store to get the manager' name at the rude location. I called the headquarters and filed a complaint. They had the District Manager call--who left me a message but no number to return his call. He stated the store manager would call me when she returned from vacation. Well Emma, the store manager has obviously not returned in 2 weeks. I will certainly take by business elsewhere after spending $1, 000's of $ at Ross--NEVER TO AGAIN. Ross lost a valuable customer. Will NEVER shop at any Ross store world wide.

Ross Dress for Less rude employee

My husband and I was just shopping at the Prattville Alabama location. An employee named Erica walked passed our aisle and as rude as she could said "Could you NOT open the merchandise!" Her attitude and tone was so uncalled for. We were looking at a clearance item. It was a small box with with 3 small wooden squares to hang on the wall. The box had already been opened and was slightly damaged. We just wanted to see if the color of the wood, would match our furniture, and of course, make sure the already opened merchandise wasn't missing or damaged. As someone who also works in customer service, I know you should never speak to people like that. She was very accusing and absolutely RUDE! I work in Montgomery so I may just give them my business from now on. I live closer to Prattville but I cant tolerate someone like that. It took all I could not to get rude back.

Ross Dress for Less ross store across from circus circus

I'm visiting from the uk where customer service is excellent. Today I was attended to by Rose. There was no eye contact and when I bid her hello she ignored me and then I stated I was over 55 and was I ok for the discount. Again she ignored me. I said hello to which her response was I hear you? I asked her then why she didn't acknowledge me and again ignored. As she slapped my change in my hand she thanked me . How rude are your staff?

Ross Dress for Less customer service

Purchased an item and then Decided I didn't need it anymore. Waited in line to return this item for 30 minutes. Meanwhile all the cashiers were taking people from the Purchase line including the cashier that handles all the returns and exchanges. After several customers complained to the cashiers no one would listen and one person finally started taking every other transaction from the returns. Poor management . Needs improvement !

Ross Dress for Less fitting room service

First time in my life I heard from Fitting Room associate: "You are not allowed to use MY Fitting Room! Do not come back!" It happened after I tried on 2 items and brought back number and hangers. I wanted to buy it, but Fitting Room lady ask me to put on hangers those items because she wants to count. Probably she didn't ask to do it, she demanded! I said I am going to buy it, she said that it doesn't matter for her. I asked her to help me to hanging (I had a big tote bag on my shoulder, hangers and number in one hand, clothes in another). But I heard from her:"It is not my job!" Seriously? Not her job? I understand Fitting Room policy, Loss Prevention policy, but should decent customer worry about? What about customer service?
Finally I let her know I am not going to do that, and heard back: " You are not allowed to use MY Fitting Room any more. Do not come back". Really? You will not allow me to use YOUR FR? Other customers looked at me like I still something.
I am sure that lady could find another words and manner to ask me hanging or just help me. I am not rude person and respect any work, but I don't like when store associate treat their customers this way. Humiliated, untaught, improper, disrespectful this is all about customer service at Ross that day!

Ross Dress for Less customer service at fitting rooms

While shopping at Ross from market place Conroe plaza, looking for a swimming suit for an event later that day, I decided to try a swimming suit on, there was no one at the entrance of the fitting room to get me a number, I waited and no one showed so I went and enter and try the swimming suit, since I decided to purchase it, walked out with it, and got stopped by the rudest person, that asked me to hang the item and I told her I was taking it with me and she answer by saying she didn't ask that, she was asking to hang it and asked for my number which I responded I didn't had because there was no one at the entrance before going in, after repeatedly saying I was purchasing the item and this lady not letting me go thru, I had to give in to hang the item to be check so I could purchase it. I asked to speak with a manager to which she followed to say she was the manager, and I asked for her name which was ignored to answer, at time of check out I asked the register for her name.
If Gloria is truly your manager at the floor she needs to be retained in customer service, and what kind of leadership is she giving by miss treating the customers?
If the item wasn't urgent for an event later that day I would of drop it and left the store, so she could take her time to inspect the item and made sure I wasn't in fact stilling. Because that's exactly how I felt, accuse of trying to steal an item.
If you have a strong policy, please make sure that 1) you have a person at ALL times at the fitting room entrance and 2) a SIGN that specifically states one is not allowed to enter with out an inspection of the item an number and that you will be asked to stop on your way out to inspect the item once again. For the customers to be aware, of thos policy, and not feel you are been pointed by the way you look.

Ross Dress for Less customer service

Hi my name is Jamie I went in Ross today June 15 at about 12 AM this is probably the third time I've come this week being that it's Father's Day. Tonight I came in the store greeted a worker and made a comment saying am I the only last-minute shopper she responded by saying no there's a few others also. I stayed in the men's department because I'm shopping for a Father's Day gift. I spent about 30 minutes in the store trying to decide on what I was going to buy for my husband as I'm shopping I noticed one of the workers in the same area every aisle I'm in every section I go to she's right there with random items in her hand which let me know that she was secretly watching me because the store is a disaster things are everywhere I would think she would be trying to help clean her store And as she's secretly watching me she could be picking items up off the floor and making sure her store is nice and tidy for tomorrow. So I then go to the front to purchase the Items I had while standing in line the same worker was in line behind me as if she was making a purchase when the cashier called the next person I headed to the counter and the young lady that was a worker for Ross turned around and act like she was still looking for stuff the items I had while standing in line the same worker was in line behind me as if she was making a purchase when the cashier called the next person I headed to the counter and the young lady that was a worker for Ross turned around and act like she was still looking for stuff. I then asked the cashier does she work year she responded and said yes I said is she on the clock she's said no she's off the clock the same young lady then begin to walk behind the counter. Now I don't know any employers that allow employees to hang out at the job if they're not on the clock. I then asked the cashier who is the manager she said I am and her name was ac I then asked the cashier does she work year she responded and said yes I said is she on the clock she's said no she's off the clock the same young lady then begin to walk behind the counter. Now I don't know any employers that allow employees to hang out at the job if they're not on the clock. I then asked the cashier who is the manager she said I am and her name was Ashely. I then asked her the young lady's name that was following me in the store and also let her know that I would make a complaint. I then asked her again so you said she's off the clock right she said yes. I then asked her well what is that young lady's name because I feel very uncomfortable with the way she followed me through the store. She may no effort to be concerned with my complaint. I am a regular shopper at this Ross and several others. But today I feel very violated and uncomfortable because I've never experienced such a thing. I really hope that the company does something about this or actually talks to their employees about the way they are handling their job.

Ross Dress for Less personal injury

Yesterday, my partner and I were shopping at the Ross store on Market street in San Francisco around 8:30 pm. My partner was on third floor and I was on the second floor carrying a shopping cart from Ross. I was going to use the escalator to go up the third floor, then I tried putting the cart on the escalator, but it was a bit unstable because it was not fitting well on the escalator stairs; and it was hard to move easily.
A staff member, who was also going up after me told me that she would put it on the escalator and I can just go ahead. She also wasn't able to put the cart on the escalator stairs after me and she ended up putting a few stairs down; there was a distance between me and the basket.
I tried to reach the basket, but I couldn't because of the distance between the basket and the stair that I was standing on. I fell down on the escalator stairs with rounds falling, sliding down and being carried up on the escalator.
As a result, my knee got injured by this incident, as well as my right leg and right hand and the right side of back. Finally, the same staff lady took me off the escalator, then she helped me sat on the floor. I was suffering from pain in my right side of the body, and my knee was bleeding.
Other Ross Staff workers didn't involved themselves in the scene, and they were even preventing my partner to help me because they were worried that any subsequent help or even just giving me some water to not get in any sort of trouble.
At the same time, another shopper was witnessing the whole incident. He wanted to take pictures, but the staff members prevented him to do, so he gave me his contact number to potentially help me if I need a witness.
Afterward, as the staffs recognized that the incident is so serious, they confirmed with me that I need urgent care they called 911. A staff member, gave my partner a paper to explain the incident although he didn't witness the scene because he was on third floor, then Staff worker said someone from Ross will call me to assist me with my post incident needs, but I haven't received a phone call from Ross yet. After a few minutes, Emergency medical technicians came to the store, and checked in my vital signals, and my knee and body. I was in unbearable pain and they transferred me to an ambulance and then to a local hospital. A physician came to the emergency room she checked my knee, back and my hand, then she gave me some medicines to relief the pain, and recommended me to follow up with my primary doctor if I have to get some treatments.

Ross Dress for Less manager threatening to call 911 for me for no reason

On June 13th 2019 around 3pm, at Ross Dress for Less at Landing in Renton, WA I tried on some clothes (dressing room lady counted 8), came out intending to buy 3 items, the woman now counted 7. I had no bag with me, no intentions of stealing, yet they (two workers now) didn't believe me that I'd done something wrong. I went back to my dressing room to double check, it was empty. I said they probably miscounted to begin with, span around to show I had nothing from the store on me and no bag, and went to the register. Spent a few minuted picking up another item (a basket). When I got to the register, the manager George came to me and asked me to leave the store right now. I asked why and he refused to give me a reason, instead threatening to call 911 for me if I didn't leave. I tried to get the reason out of him for another minute, not wanting to leave because I wanted to buy the items I was holding. He kept repeating that I had to leave the store. I got too annoyed and left then, taking my business and money elsewhere. Very unhappy with George and the women working the dressing room. It made me angry, ruined my day and my mood, and was a waste of my time. Not surr what is to be done from here but would like to at least get a response.
My email is [protected]@gmail.com.

Thank you.

Ross Dress for Less long lines, few registers open, dirty store, employees/managers don't seem to care

Waited in line on 6/11/19 to make a purchase for at least 20 minutes. There were only 2 registers open, and the cashiers did not seem to have any sense of urgency. At one point one cashier and a manager stood there talking about something that seemed like a training issue(see 1st picture, register 8), while the line got longer and longer. They didn't bother to look up, apologize to all the waiting peolpe, nothing. By the time I left there were about 25 people in line, There were so many I couldn't get all of them in the picture. No employees or managers called for additional cashiers. The friendliest employee there is the security guard. The other employees/managers don't make eye contact. This store is always dirty. Not going back!

Ross Dress for Less exchange item

Please see the attached photo receipt. Yesterday (061119) I purchased a dress (see #1 & #3 on the receipt) . Today (061219) I brought the dress back to do an even exchange (SAME dress just a different size...see #2 on the receipt). I was then told by the Manager I owed $1.38. I asked why and was told when I purchased the dress it was on "Tuesday Club - 10% day" and when I exchange it that 10% NO LONGER APPLIES (see #4 on the receipt).

I understand that this is a small amount, but it's the principle. Whenever, I have EVER exchanged an item, within that Store's allotted time, it was an even exchange, even if I BOUGHT IT ON SALE...

I asked the Manager if the cashier has to ask for ID for your age, she stated no. So I asked, how do you know the age of the person. She stated SOMETIMES the cashier will just give you a discount "if you AT LEAST look over 20." This can be discriminatory...

I do not shop in your Store enough to know about the Tuesday 10%. I do think the customer should be told and asked for ID; how do you REALLY know a customer's age?

I do not think your process of making a customer pay for an EVEN exchange is fair. It should not matter if I purchased it on sale or not. My exchange should be honored with the price I initially paid.

There is nothing on the receipt that states if you bring back something purchased on "Tuesday Club 10%" for an EVEN exchange, you will be charged the 10% that was applied just the day before. I also did not see anything in the Store stated such.

I hope that you look into this complaint, and

Thanking you well in advance

Ross Dress for Less manager assistant lisa ross

I was shopping and making some returns on 6/9/19 South East Fresno Ross. when I arrive to the register to make my returns and purchases the manager on duty came and was just standing near by starring as we proceeded with the transaction making it feel very uncomfortable as if we were steeling. She didnt greet or smile she was just starring with a mean look. I felt harrassed and discriminated. I had my recipe for my returns except for one which I used my ID. I should be able to do my shopping with out being harrassed in such a way. Stores cameras should be reviced to insure your employees are not harrassing customers in any way.

Ross Dress for Less watch/ service/ everything

On the 3 of June i bought a watch back that i bought 4 days earlier. This was after living through the pathetic service rendered. Women walking around not doing much, one at counter talking to friend . No manager or service agent in sight I didn't have my receipt didn't think i'd need it days later. my mistake for not knowing what garbage you sell. YOU ARE WORSE THAN K-Mart. And I will make sure everyone knows it from now on. Your customer service can win awards for being bad. Too bad there's no less than one star. In fact i had a dollar store watch that lasted two weeks. Do Key West a favour and leave so maybe a real value store can open.

Ross Dress for Less only stayed at ross for four days

I was excited when I was hired by Ross, been shopping for years there. I was hired, thrown on the register, never trained and was not given breaks. I made many mistakes, I am glad the customers were kind because management was horrible and took pity on me. My last day there, weekend day, the only person for a long time on the register, had to go to the bathroom, long line, so I peed in my pants not able to hold it any longer. I quit after my shift was done. I was never trained, did not know procedures on the register.
