Restoro is a software company that provides an app from www.restoro.com. On 9/8/2022, I downloaded the app based on a pro tip by Appauls.com. Once I ran the app, and clicked repair based on what the app indicated, I was taken to the Restoro website. This is where one is offered three plans. I paid for the Premium Plan ($41.95) and to activate the key, the site informed me to call the company. I did.

I was asked why I downloaded the software & how do I use my computer. The person asked me if they could get onto my computer. I felt that I could trust Restoro based on all the favorable reviews. I allowed him & he told me that there were problems. He showed me a screen with highlighted content (malware/trojans) and he recommended a clean-up service. All through this conversation, the person told me about services by Restoro and he asked me for large sums of money. I declined. He pressured me regardless. Because of what he told me, I was very concerned about my computer. Further, due to the favorable reviews, I felt as if I was in good hands. I paid a fee of $120.00 for a one time repair.

I watched the tech who was on my computer less than an hour. (I was told this process would take 3 hours). I saw the Adware program process and I saw the results of zero viruses found! What the person who talked me into the additional fee showed me was false! It wasn't a screen from my computer. I was scammed. This person who I first spoke to informed me repeatedly that there is a 60 day money back guarantee. Okay, so now I have the following:

1. $41.95 paid on 9/8/2022 for Restoro App Premium plan.

2. $120.00 paid on 9/9/22 for Restoro Clean up.

I discovered the app is useless. It did not fix the Microsoft Event ID 10016 issue, which www.Appauls.com indicated it did. Actually, this app is unnecessary so I cancelled the plan. I uninstalled the app. I requested the refunds in the sum of $161.25 on 9/13/2022.

I have requested the refunds from the website form on Restoro.com. I have emailed the company, and still to this day of 10/11/2022, Restoro has dishonored their 60 day money back guarantee.

They are a business that scams people for their money. They are unethical based on my experience.

I am posting this so others can avoid any loss of money given to Restoro. They will not return my monies even though they did say they'd return the $41.95. The $120.00 service was unnecessary since their person outright lied to me. My computer never required a clean up and it never had any viruses.

I want my refund of $161.25 from Restoro and I have taken action to collect it by having the Fraud department of my bank pursue them.

There are mixed reviews about Restoro. The truth about them must be shared to avoid the public being caught in their trap. They are a nuisance to the public as their app and this company do zero for one's computer. The tech who spoke to me initially showed me false screens and lied to me. That is FRAUD.

Desired outcome: Full Refund
