Regional Acceptance Harassment and failing to allow me to make timely payments

This company calls me, sometimes multiple times a day, and leaves the same robo message every single time. I am in a law enforcement academy and dont even have my phone on me. They leave a message telling me to login to read "an important message" but I CANT log in and they have been unhelpful there as well. They've been so difficult and harassing, they helped push my husband into a suicide attempt. If I had know they were the financier of my husbands new car, I would have left the dealership then and there. The terms relayed to us by the dealership were also much different than what we saw on the first bill, a nearly $300.00 monthly increase from what we were told.

Truely the worst company I've ever dealt with.

Claimed loss: 34,000

Desired outcome: They stop their predatory and blatantly dishonest practices, and allow us to just take the car back because no car is worth having to deal with them.

Regional Acceptance Rip off

I bought a car and was approved for financing with Regional Acceptance in June 2015. I have had ups and down for the past 8 years with financing and especially during Covid. The car loan was originally for $24000 and 8 years later I still owe over $19000. I have asked several time for all my payments made to Regional and still no compliance. I emailed and called. How they have time to call and call for payments that are 1 day late but can't send me the information I am requesting. This company is a rip off. I don't know how after 8 years I have only paid $5000 for a car that is only worth $6000 now. Worst company I have every dealt with. The only thing the website shows is the last 5 payments that were made. I can't even view past statements.

If any one is going to file suit against this company I am in.

Desired outcome: Want my account to represent that I only owe $3100. My original contract was for 46258.48 of which I paid $43231.01

It is now September of 2023 and they've charged me 750.00 in fees and claim I still owe the 15,000 on ths car!? They are a predatory lender who has scammed and ripped off customers for years not to mention the horrible reviews.

On or around July 18, 2023 I traded in my vehicle that was financed through Regional Acceptance Finance Company. The car was paid off in total before the end of July. It is showing in Regional Acceptance's system that it is paid off as of August 5, 2023. I would like my account and credit report with each credit bureau to show this account has been paid in full before the month of September. I will consult with an attorney and possible obtain legal representation if this is not accomplished.

Desired outcome: Update credit report.

Regional Acceptance Fees (unknown)

Yes, doing Covid I was laid off work and did have a hard time paying my car note. Jan. 2020 and July 2020. I paid a partial car note. No one told me about fees being put to the side. I called today and was told by a representative regarding this. I asked if i paid the full amount would it go away and she said yes. The interesting part is my car payments have been on time and up to date since 2021 maybe even longer and no one has informed me of these fees that's put to the side. I haven't received a letter stating this either. How can you be up to date on your payment but still owe money on the side. I truly do regret dealing with regional. The customer representative all say something different every time you speak to one. I then was trying to make a payment and the representative today said they don't take credit cards and I said that is not true. She got irrigated and said just give me the number and I will try to run it. I told her I will do it myself and hung up. To me this seems like a scam.

Regional Acceptance Complaint

Ok, so I purchased a 2019 Mit Mirage in Dec 2019, I have been paying on the car since 2019 at 406 a month. The car was orginally a 20,00 dollar car it was purchased along with Gap Insurance, Extended Warrenty ect. So fast forward to Dec 2022, the car was totaled and needless to say it has been hell dealing with Regional Acceptance, I called the day after the accident and told that the car had been in a accident and would probably be totaled. Now my regualr insurance was a God send and helped me out so much! I contancted Gap Insurance which I had through the dealership and they got on the ball about paying the rest of the car off. My fiance and I had to pay out of pocket for the rental while waiting for thigns to be settled between all the compaines, Now I will admit that I got behind some but made up the payment everytime, they have even taken money out of my account without my permission! So we returned the rental and went to purchase another car. While in the process of trying to get another car the guy at the dealership comes out to report that I still owe 4,000 dollar on the 2019 that was totaled out back in Dec of 2022!

NOW before I get into that, I had gotten an email from Gap and State Farm that proved the money had been paid off and that I owe nothing, So the guy at the dealership who was very patient and kind called Regional and got the Gap number from them and got in contact with them that day. Gap had paid the rest of the amount that was owed on the car but that Regional Acceptance was not reporting the car as paid off! So needles to say if you have to purchase another car please go with another Fiance company and STAY AWAY from Regional Acceptance Corp! I have never been through so much [censored] with any other fiance company these people are sharks and do not care if you are dying and in the hospital as long as they get their money. Trying to get somebody in the phone is hard and when I did get contact with somebody I was hung up on mutliple times and recieved vauge unanswered questions when it come to my account.

Regional Acceptance Gap insurance / repossession / unposted payments

Hello, my name is Aaron Antonio Porter Sr. The reason for this email is that I wish to join the class action civil suit against regional acceptance.
During the pandemic, I came into the fault with my vehicle, and contacted regional acceptance to utilize my gap insurance, because I was given the understanding that I could utilize that gap insurance to stay out of default, and possibly have my vehicle repossessed.

After speaking with regional acceptance, I was told that they would not allow me to utilize my gap insurance until my account was current, and that I had made an extra payment. As a result, my vehicle was repossessed. When I contacted the company in order to get the vehicle back in to make a payment, I was given a 14 day window to do so. On the 10th day, my vehicle was sent to the auction and sold.

Regional acceptance, then placed a default in my credit file stating that the vehicle was written off as a loss. Two weeks later, I received a notice from the collection agency, stating that I was in default, and then I was in debt to regional acceptance a debt that they had acquired. How is it legal to write something off and place it in my legal file, then turn around and sell the debt to a collection agency when you have already written it off as a loss.

As a result of this action, I am not able to pursue the work that I am accustomed to buying being able to drive to different worksites as a carpenter. What does the law stipulate about gap insurance? Is it not supposed to be used for a crisis issue like the pandemic to keep customers from going into default and losing their vehicle and possibly their only means of transportation for their livelihood?

Desired outcome: To be reimbursed for the violation of my rights outlined in the GAP Insurance Policies. To be provided compensation for the lost of vehicle and employment.

I was spoken to in a very disrespectful manner by manger Kristi. She would not assist me after I paid to get my vehicle back from repo. I was given the run around and still have not gotten my vehicle to date. I paid 12-12-22. There is not a number or contact for storage company meanwhile charges are piling up. I would like to note that I was hung up on by Kristi.

Regional Acceptance Customer Service and Scam

After being hung up on 3x i called a fourth time. I called to correct billing information on statement and verified my identity through their excessively long verification process. Only for them to demand my credit card information for a 1 time processing fee for what he said was a free gift coupon. When I told him I would not give him my credit card info and that I did not want anything. I only wanted to change billing. He said I had to pay that for them to help me or make that update.

Desired outcome: No scamming customers when you already have a car loan and update the information for accuracy and acceptable customer service.

Regional Acceptance Rip Off

I had an alright time with this company in my last three years with them. I paid on time and nothing was amiss. It was when I went to refinance that I realized how scammy they were. I have a 24K car I put 4 K down on and financed 20 K. I paid 550 dollars a month for 3 years. That's well over 19K. My balance on my refinance was 15.7 K. What? How ? What?

Second the payoff that was sent was for 16.4 K and was sent on the 6th of may. Regional held on to it and processed it on the 18th of may 2022 accruing about another 200 in interest. They owe me about 536 dollars which I confirmed through customer service on the 19th of May was to be sent out that day. A follow up call on the 3rd of June confirmed that they only processed the overage on the 31st of May and god knows when I will get it.

Third getting a hold of customer service is hell. Hell. I end up in automated systems all the time. I work hard sometimes up to an hour to get to a person only to be disconnected.

So 1. The interest rate makes you pay for your car at least 3 times.

2. They ensure you pay more even at the end.

3. They do not send or process anything in a timely manner. I was informed they send checks by regular mail. Not certified. Not tracked. Not signature confirmation. The worse bank and business ever.

4.You need a virgin sacrifice, two chickens , a vial of orphan tears and a blank check from one of the founding fathers in order to get through customer service and speak to a person. Short of pulling out your own kidney it's a work to get to a person.

They take your money no problem and as long as you keep paying like a dumb human they keep taking your cash.

I do not recommend them at all. Refinance. Get out and for the love of all things sacred if there is a class action against them sign me up.

Desired outcome: I want my overage. Preferably with the extra interest they pulled out of my lifeless body at the end but what is owed is desirable as well.

Regional Acceptance They tried to charge my old car and I have no account with them.

I found where they tried to charge over $500 to my old card today and I have never had an account with this company. That is fraud. They cannot just randomly try charging people.

-Rhianna Hamwey

Desired outcome: I want any information of mine removed from their system and if they fraudulently try to charge my card again, I'm going to call the police.

Regional Acceptance Rip off

I had my first car loan with the Acceptance back in March 2017. I put 3,000 down. They only gave me two options to choose from which was a Dart or a Veloster. I chose the Veloster with 41,000 miles on it. I should have know something was fishy with this company. The day I drove off the lot the car engine light came on and the car started stalling. I immediately called the dealership. They then said it would be fixed and they gave me a loaner for a week. When I went to pick up the loaner the salesman who made the sale told me that the finance company would need 500 more dollars. I paid it. The car drove two months with no issue. I moved to Georgia in May due to a divorce and my ex husband mom was also on the loan. The car was running horribly at that time. I continued to pay on time until August 2017. I got behind only one month and they told me they would repo it if I didn’t send at least half of my payment. The problem was I was only paying the interest one the next month came it doubled and even making the payment on time it continued. In Feb 2018 I was diagnosed with a rare sickness they caused me to stop working. I was pregnant and had to have my gallbladder removed. They were noted and gave me a grace period to pay. They deferred my payments as I struggled to pay but now it’s saying I owe the original amount of the car as if nothing was paid. Also I call four times a day to start back making payments but it won’t allow me to speak with anyone once they ask for a updated address. The car do not run and several recalls have been reported.

Desired outcome: Pay off the right amount of debt and be done with this company. The car was a lemon when I got it

Regional Acceptance False advertisement/predatory lending

Purchased a 2013 car in 2017 for 20k. Payments 548/month. I still owe 12k. I tried to refinance through my bank and them. No one was willing to do so. However they offer refinancing on the website. The salesman/finance manager all jipped me out of 35000.

Regional Acceptance Balance only dropped a $1,000 after paying $6,000 the past year.

I pay close to $500 a month car payment and after a year the balance only dropped $1, 000. I'm 36 months into paying on this loan and the balance never seems to go down. I am looking for an attorney to file a class action lawsuit against Regional Acceptance Corp. I keep seeing the same complaints over and over again. This company are definitely crooks. I got a loan from them when my credit is bad, however now it is way above average and they won't refinance and other finance companies don't want to take the loan from them because they are crooks.

Desired outcome: Class Action Law Suit

Regional Acceptance My loan amount balance

My interest rate was change without my knowledge, I have never refinanced my car loan. They changed the original contract interest rate, I'm paying more than my scheduled payment and it states that I still owe a past due amount, and the loan amount never seems to go down except a hundred or less. When you try to contact someone can never get a person on the phone. I want this resolved and for them to fix my interest rate and prorate all my payments to reflect was is owed in my car

Desired outcome: To fix the interest rate or I will sue for breach of contract
