Qatar Airways my mom didn't have credit card!

Is this really a matter of great concern that the staff of Qatar Airways (Omer) at Quide Azam International airport Karachi returned my mom back saying she didn't have a credit card for on arrival category. Yet she had a debit card and every other requirement. Even if she didn't have just a credit card, she had my ID and my residential contract attached to her tickets.
She reached to the airport after 2 hours drive with my brother. and she was on wheelchair as she cant walk due to knee joint pain. I committed her that we will celebrate Eid ul Fitr together. Qatar airways rules cant be that wicked

Qatar Airways seating

Reservation codes are MQ2Y8Z (My mothers)and JY264B(Wife and kids). My mother ticket was booked separately 6 months back. My wifes tickets booked on May3rd and have a special request for Basinet Seat because of my wife is having shoulder pain. After a week I called customer service and they assured my mother is already having Basinet seat, I dont need to worry. Also at checkin window I asked the ticketing guy and he said the same that they have Basinet seat. I was happy.

I got a call from my wife when she landed in Doha and she was crying as her shoulder is paining and they did not give either my mother or her a Basinet seat. And neither Air hostess helped her. If they would have told basinet seat is not possible when I called customer service or at least in check in window, I would have cancelled my wife and kids ticket. Ticketing window guy lied on this saying they have basinet seat. I demand explanation on this to trust Qatar and choose next time. Please let me know what kind of re-embursement you will assure on this.

Qatar Airways services

I would like to bring to your attention the impolite and rude behavior of the Qatar Airways counter staff at the Goa International Airport. I was travelling along with two of my family members (including my elderly mother) through Qatar Airways from Goa to Doha (Flight No. QR 523, on 05 May 2018). My family members had a connecting flight to London through Doha (Flight No. QR 1, on 05 May 2018).

The total weight for checked-in luggage for all two passengers was 77 kg, 7 kg extra than the allowed weight, and we had paid Indian Rs. 4000/-.

Once the baggage was checked-in, the Qatar Airways counter staff checked our hand baggage and instructed that we cannot carry any hand baggage because the weight for our checked-in luggage is extra, although we had paid for the extra weight. They forced us to remove everything from the hand bags and made us take the empty the bags to London. The staff weighed the empty bags (laptop bag and the hand bags for ladies) and put a tag with the "1 kg" written on it. We were forced to throw out all food items such as dry nuts and mangoes.

It is to be noted that my family and myself are frequent travelers by Qatar Airways. We were highly offended with the behavior of counter staff, the supervisor and the supporting staff. My elderly mother pleaded the counter staff with tears to let us carry only the allowed weight in hand baggage, but it was discourteously declined by the supervisor. Meanwhile, it was noticed that some people were allowed to carry two to three bags per person.

Even though I had finished the baggage check in and got my boarding pass, while I was waiting next to the check-in counter for my fellow passengers, the counter staff took my boarding pass back and kept it with them. Then, once again, they asked me to weigh my cabin bag, including my ladies bag. I was asked to remove all the items and they put a tag written on it, "To weigh the hand baggage once again after finishing the immigration they check if the bag weight matches with the tag".

I would appreciate your earliest action on this complaint. I would definitely consider not using Qatar Airways on this route if a proper feedback is not provided on this complaint.

Qatar Airways service on flight and status of aircraft

Hi

I would like to lodge a complaint regarding firstly the state of the aircraft on the first leg of my return journey from faisalabad to Doha, was very shocked to see a dated aircraft with minimal facilities not even a USB port, I am a regular traveller with Qatar Airways and very disappointed to top it up there was not enough food onboard menu had 2 options however 10min into service you ran out of one option and the option give was scrambled and mushrooms which was over cooked mushrooms tasted raw, I am Booking again in Oct I am concerned for this journey also as I am traveling with my children also don't want anyone else to experience the same I did, I live 5 min from Glasgow Airport which emirates operate in I have to travel over 1 hr to Edinburgh Airport in order to fly with Qatar Airways can someone please investigate the bad experience on this flight and advise accordingly?

Qatar Airways service

Booking reference: JYNCXZ. Flights booked by company from George to Durban on SAA, from Durban to Sydney on Qatar. Day before departure attempted online checkin but was not able to on either SAA or Qatar website, advised to checkin at airport. Proceed to George airport and advised bags checked all the way to Sydney but must collect boarding passes in Durban on arrival. On arrival in Durban I proceed to checkin in counter and staff member says I should have received my boarding passes in George. (If I had them I would not be at the check in counter) provided my boarding pass with luggage tags showing bags checked all the way to Sydney, I requested boarding passes so I could proceed through to a lounge to relax but was told until my luggage is located I can not be issued a boarding pass, this is very frustrating when staff memeber says they are going to briefing and I must return later. Serveral service failures and very little help provided. I have travelled Qatar in the passes but my experience today has been negative and reluctant to travel on Qatar again.

Qatar Airways booking from website and service from staff

Dear Sir,

I would like to share with you my unhappiness with the booking website and your staff performance in replying via twitter and the contact centre.

My main purpose is to appeal to retain my Silver membership due to shortage of Qpoints. I had make a request and the reply from your staff is : we understand your concern but as per company norms & policy we would not be able to upgrade your tier manually without any flight credited for future.

I totally agree with the reply.

Subsequently, I check the website and and do a calculation on which class should I book to achieve the shortage Qpoint which is Economy Saver . I try to book and found that after booking at Economy Saver, my E ticket/ Trip summary indicate a Economy Promo class which the Qpoints and Qmiles earn is lesser, I did not make any payment.

I wrote to your staff again to clarify but they need to have my booking reference to check. So I proceed with the booking and make payment. I contact your staffs again with screenshot attached and explained clearly.

Your staff did not check properly and inform me my booking class is Economy Promo and send me an E ticket that I can retrieve myself. I then explain to them the situation that I make more payment to get a lower class. Still your staff reply that my booking class is Economy Saver.

I an really upset that i had show them the prove and try to test and book again in Qatar Airways website. It still show that after selecting Economy Saver, the end result is still a Economy Promo. There must be some error in the website.

I sincerely wish that you can look into my case which is basally pay more get less.

Since payment already had been made, it is fine with me. I just wish that I can have the Silver membership for this trip as I have a very long transit in Doha.

Qatar Airways total discrimination and unethical behaviour

Hi There

i was travelling on 2nd May 2018 from Islamabad to Doha and Doha on wards to Muscat. Flight from Doha to Muscat was QR 1126 and seat number allocated was 21C and the departure time was 1330 hours. It is about the lady who was acting as in-charge/team lead for the staff counter.

The hand carry i had weighted around 5Kg Max. I was asked at Doha Check in Counter to handover the hand carry to staff as flight is full and airline cant allow the hand-carry and would rather checked in. I was amazed and despite of repeated requests no one listens. Forcefully they got my luggage tagged. Even i am ok sort of with that.

But When i entered in to Bus, people with two pieces of luggage and believe me much much bigger hard carry luggage people were carrying with them selves. I went back from bus and complaint to lady but she seemed so naive and realized this immediately and asked the staff why you are allowing, i was standing there at the gate but she denied to see me post my complaint and asked the person at the gate that i should leave and i feel ridiculed and discriminated.

I don't expect such manhandled behavior and Ericsson Being a corporate client provides thousands of Dollar business every year doesn't seem to be treated like this.

I need a proper justification for the stated incident and in person apology from the lady

If my Voice is not heard, i will talk to Ericsson Global and other customers alliance Etc to run the social campaign as part of corporate social responsibility and this will drag away your business eventuality and most importantly the air line repute.

Qatar Airways baggage handling

Hello,
I've been traveling from Zagreb to Doha, and from Doha to Auckland. Everything was good, staff is nice, but when I arrived in Auckland i noticed that my baggage is broken. The girl on the counter in Auckland was very nice, and she gave me application for damaged/pilfered baggage. But the adress she gave me for BUFFALO Luggage Outlet and Repair is very far away from where I live. I don't believe that I gotta take care of my broken baggage, and travel so far and spend some extra money on trains and buses, which is your fault. I've spent 30$ total to make the trip to mr. Peter Westwood (Buffalo LTD.), who is official service provider for problems regarding broken luggage. Mr. Peter was amazing and very helpful, and together we've called your office to tell you that mr. Peter checked my baggage and that is unrepairable and that I'm in need of a new one or total refund of money. Female voice answered and told us that she's new at that job, and that she's gonna inform someone in charge and immediately get back to us. She never did, and I decided to go home after spending one and a half hour at mr. Peter's workshop.
I'm deeply disappointed in your way of taking care of my problem. I have no words for this kinda behavior.

Qatar Airways seat booking incompetence and poor customer service

I booked my specific seats on 20 September 2017 to ensure that my Family could be accomodated together in an area of their preference, for our Flights to Phuket on 8 May 2018. At time of booking I recieved confirmation which I printed and kept. When I checked Flights and Seat Reservations yesterday 30 April 2018 I discovered that all of my outbound Seat reservations had been re allocated to other Passengers. I called Qatar Customer Service in Johannesburg and spoke to Vincent Motshegwa. He first tried to convince us that we had chosen the wrong seats in the first place and then became agressive when I was not satisfied with this approach. I informed him that I would forward proof of booking to him to enable Qatar to rectify their mistake. He has still not given me feedback on my request.

Qatar Airways 157-[protected]-87 ticket refund, pnr savkhp

Miserable and extremely unprofessional, these two words echo through my mind the most since I ve purchased your tickets online and been treated by your online and customer care staff repeatedly till now.

After led down constantly from each and every member of your team, It feels like you guys only respond to court claims and people who SUE you indiscriminately.

Even your customer care officer Mr. FAHAD KHALID can barely understand a word written to him, and he KEEPS posting me replies of someone elses case. this is amazingly stupid.

TELL ME QATAR AIRWAYS WHAT WOULD IT TAKE FOR ONLY ONE GUY TO TREAT MY CASE, I AM SO TIRED AS THIS BEEN DRAGGING ON FOR SOMETIME NOW

Qatar Airways broken chair in the plain

On the 13/4/2018 I flu with QR905 from Melbourne to Doha - 13 hours flight. My chair was broken and I wasn't able to move at all or I would've fell off. It was very uncomfortable and the crew seemed not to care at all. I mention that in the last 2 years I bought 7 tickets from Melbourne to Bucharest and believe I deserve some respect from Qatar company. I also have photos of the chair.

Qatar Airways unprofessional and incompetent staff

I had confirmed ticket from JNB to DOH and return. Had 5000 QR cash and confirmed hotel booking. I hold a Pakistani Passport, had all required documents to apply Visa on arrival. I reached airport on time, boarded my luggage got my boarding pass everything went well but when the time to board the flight the staff removed me from the flight not letting me board saying that I need Visa prior to travel to Qatar.

Which doesn't makes any sense nor do I understand why they are doing this. They contacted Qatar Immigration without giving them proper and appropriate details .

Dear Sir,
The above is my complaint. Though it is mentioned that I am a wheel chair passenger, at the gate I was told that my seat was changed and I had to walk with so much difficulty in that narrow passage to the end of the aircraft.
I am sorry to mention that the seating and space is so inconvenient.

I am afraid that a smiling hostess may send me walking again to the end on my flight back home on the 26th. Boston-Bengaluru

Qatar Airways unable to complete online booking

20 and 21 April 2018. I spent 4 hours on 20th and 2 hours on 21st April trying to complete an on-line booking for flights from Birmingham UK to Phuket Thailand and back. Each time I tried, I got to different windows before the screen greyed and the aircraft endlessly circled the deer.

I continued today expecting that the problems yesterday would be resolved but I got as close to completing the booking as the payment page before the screen greyed and the aircraft circled the deer.

Each time I started againg and have re-entered the same information on dates, paassengers, contacts as your system does not remember previously entered information. I contacted your customer services in the UK and was quoted an additional £25 per person (£150 in total) as it was NOT an internet purchase. I felt this was unreasonable as the fault was not mine, so Patricia (your rep) said she would email Doha to see what she could do. She gave me a booking reference PJ8I6X. At 1 pm I got an email from you "complete your Qatar Airways booking". I used the link which took me to the start page but the information on your link was wrong.
1. The 2 children had become 2 infants - and the price was £500 less
2. The return date had been changed from Tuesday 19 March 2019 to Wednesday 20 March.
As soon as I "modified my search" to change the infants back to children and the return date from Wednesday to Tuesday the screen greyed and the aircraft circled until it timed out.

You may have been voted the best airline in the middle east but your website and the subsequent support has been useless. When I phoned again I spoke to Alexandro (your rep), who told me - after a 2 minute hold - that I would have to start the booking again. I still want to make a booking, but I expect there to be some consideration for the time I have wasted trying to complete the online process.

Qatar Airways refund

We planned a trip two months ago from DFW airport to Goa, India for a wedding ceremony April 17th & April 18th 2018. We asked several businesses if we needed a Visa and they all said no. If we would have none we needed a Visa that would have no problem getting a Visa. We contacted your reservation customer service line and we were told more than two times that we DO NOT NEED A VISA. We traveled to the airport early today. Four hours before our flight. We stood in line 45 minutes to check our luggage then your ticket customer service told us we need a VISA. We were told that it takes at least 48 hours to get a VISA and we were told to reschedule it would cost us an additional $2, 000.00 This is our first trip going out of the country with a horrible experience. We are on a fixed income and we don't like to throw away money. Please help. We want our money back since we could not change the date of our travel due to the rediculous additonal charges.

Qatar Airways not issue boarding pass and give a fake reason

Hi My name is Himmat Singh i was book TMM7NS ticket from DME to KTM because my mother is admit there and my brother was book this ticket from India. I was carring my two id with me one is Passport and 2nd is Adhar card and for nepal india don't need visa or passport and we are visa free for Nepal even show them my both id and its valid and the lady who was on the airport was start misbehave with me and ask the credit card i told her if she need credit card photo i can give her and if she send the otp i will provide her because my brother is carring the credit card name parmjit Singh from Jagron punjab now i don't have single penny in my pocket and My Mother is in hospital please look into this matter and give me new ticket even i dont have money to eat and stay here utill you people help in Here on the airport because i don't have anything eles to go anywere and stay

Qatar Airways customer service; george njoroge nairobi kenya

We went to NBO airport in time to board a plane with Qatar and to our surprise only our two kids were in the iternary and my husband and I were left out. We had received a confirmation email from Qatar airline with all our names listed. Someone by the name George Njoroge was called to help but he was the most arrogant, unprofessional employee with the worst attitude. He looks at us and rudely says if I am to touch your tickets, you have to pay! An argument started because we had already paid and didn't understand why he was asking for more money from us and really not helping us with the situation. This guy went to an extent of calling the guards stating that we need to be thrown out of the airport because we are loitering around. For heaven sake why would we be loitering around with confirmed tickets and valid passports and with 2 kids; a 2 year old and 10 year old. Being thrown out of the airport in the cold at around 12am. The guards were reasonable enough to know that we were frustrated customers that needed some help to proceed with our journey and nobody was being professional enough to do so instead they were aggravating us. As we were calling Expedia, we later on learnt that the same George had gone ahead and suspended our tickets telling a lot of lies so that they would never be reissued. I don't have a problem not traveling with Qatar if a rude, arrogant and an unprofessional staff member can make that decision but I have to say that I am a frequent flier but I have never experienced such animosity.

Qatar Airways reservation

I had made a booking online for my friend and when I made the payment I got a message that the payment is unsuccessful and try again later. So I thought to book later and within 2-3 hrs I got a message from my bank that Qatar Airways Debited INR 36136, When I checked my email there wasn't any email or ticket. When I called customer support they said the ticket is issued, I was surprised asked then why you didn't send me the ticket or an email regarding my booking? as its been hrs, then they said sorry we will send it now.

I didn't expect this kind of service from a 5-star airline, poor booking system or something was wrong. Hope my friend will have a good flight and the airline staff won't forget anything again.

Qatar Airways cigarettes; duty free on flight

Was told that we could get can of 200 cigarettes and paid for 1ctn for me and 1 for my sister whom was on the same flight as me
Got to customs and was only allowed 2 pets each out of our 10 packs each that we purchased
If we wanted to pay $290.00 tax for the other 16 pkts we were then allowed 10 pkts each
But I didn't have this sum of money to pay the extra for tax so customs took them of us and put them in the bin
So I require my money refunded to my account by Qatar airlines as the air hostess staff no 54959 gave us the wrong information
Apparently we were the 4 th passenger from Qatar airlines that had been given the wrong information
I asked the air hostess several times what was Australian allowed to bring in and she answered me the same thing evertine
Very disappointed in this wrong information from staff no 54959

Qatar Airways not permitted to perform namaz, and misbehave (very harshly)

Assalam u alicum! Respected Sir/ Madam - We (6 couples - 12 persons) travel by QR 629 on 16th Feb, 2018 from Lahore to Duha & QR 1341 from Duha to Nairobi. From Lahore to Duha, All Is excellent & Good.
But from Duha to Nairobi, we face a lot of hindrance & opposition from the staff regarding Namaz. We required only 3 minutes to perform our Mughrib Salat, but your staff wasted our 25 minutes (rather 3 minutes, they block the passage for 25 minutes) but not giving permission for Salat.
Kindly in future, please give permission to perform Salat (just as Saudi Air line has even a separate space for Salat).
