I would give them the benefit of the doubt in this case: can you imagine what would have happened if she had been let on the flight and the "error" wasn't discovered until it was too late? Don't be too hard on them - they were trying to do their job...
I agree... the policy is in place for your safety. Can't get angry with them for enforcing it.
Looking at their website, I would never hire them to do anything... Their portfolio is junk; site designs that are left over from the days of hand-coded HTML about 10 years ago. Check out themeforest dot net - you can buy yourself a template for $20-30, install WordPress or Joomla and be done. But if you don't have the basic skills then you will be wasting money here too - if you don't know what you're doing then you will need to expect to hire a professional. Do you know what CSS is? How about a CMS? Do you know Photoshop? If you are not familiar with these basic terms/programs then you will not be able to handle building your own site. Sorry...
You do of course realize that 17.60 x 3 = 52.80? Maybe you misunderstood the offer... 17.60 per year?
Write to corporate. But before you do, give them specifics: dates, times, what happened, where, when. They need to have details before they can investigate further. Get everybody who works there to sign a petition... If one person complains, that doesn't do much, but if everybody sees the same thing then change is in order. Good Luck!
You can cancel the card/account which would close the account and prevent any further spending. But you would still be responsible for the balance... Hard lesson to learn, but you can't expect the bank to take responsibility for your father's actions. Just pay it back and be done with it. I bet he'll be even more careful from now on.
Always good to hear from the "inside"... I often wonder about the drivers and I hear stories about how they can't go home until they have finished their deliveries for the day.
Do you really need to ask? I think you already know that this is a big SCAM! Don't send them anything... You didn't win anything.
Ernie... Why are you waiting for the company to refund your money? If they were interested in doing it they would have done it by now. Call the card issuer RIGHT AWAY - don't wait for your next statement. Explain to them what has happened and ask that they close the account and give you a new card number. Much easier to do it this way...
Maybe they did you a favor... Who would want to work with people like that anyway, right?! I'm sure you'll find something better. Hang in there!
I'm just happy to hear you didn't end up buying the darn thing... And your friends are right: you should have called the police immediately when they refused to leave. I'm sure that would have sped up their departure.
A short sale is a way for you to sell your house for less than you owe the bank... Why on earth should they hurry up? If you owe 100, 000 and the offer is only 50, 000 - who is going to pay the remaining 50, 000? Why should they hurry up and do you a favor? A lawyer? For what?
Talk about turning the tables... You should sit nice and quiet and hope to God they accept an offer when they are good and ready. They are taking a loss because of you. They are doing you a favor. Don't act like it's the other way around...
Damn... Sounds like a real [censored] hole. Don't give up on this though - the only way something is going to change is if somebody brings it up. What's the worst that can happen? You get fired? Oh well, you can find a better job really quick...
I think you should drop the whole contract bit and just stop paying... What's the worst they can do to you? Money owed in one country does not follow you to another country. They are not going to track you down in Australia - unless you told them where you are which I hope you didn't... Just stop paying!
When did you place the order? Did you pay extra for Sunday delivery? I think they owe you more than a full refund - you now have a disappointed wife and they would do well in offering you a large bouquet free of charge, in addition to the refund and apology. Good luck - let us know how it goes...
That's odd... Unless he personally knew every single item that was 75% off, he should have gone over to the area to see if this particular item was on sale too. However, sometimes people take stickers off other products and place them on items they WISH were discounted and then you can't really blame the store for something another customer did...
But you can't really stop going to Dollar Tree in general because one employee is an a**, can you?! That would be silly... Just find another store where the employees treat you well.
I guess there is no cable going from the street to your house, that's why they will need to charge you... Can't really expect Comcast to make your house cable-ready.
What the h*ll?!?!?!? Can't you go down to the local store and show them the receipts and ask that they work with their customer service department in order to refund you the delivery charge? Either that or threaten to return all the items...
This is a scam anyway - they give you the free trial, but usually you need to upgrade your cable box in order to handle HD signals. And then after the six months, when you get used to the good quality, they charge you extra money to keep it... Just as well. They ended up losing money in the long run anyway.
I guess you booked a non-refundable room which is usually less than the "regular" rate... There is a reason it costs less money - because it comes with restrictions. I can't really blame them for non refunding the money as you agreed to it when you booked the room on their website. Sorry.
Excellent comment... Especially the part about counseling an employee in public. That is extremely unprofessional!
Did you complain to eBay? They should block him right away - regardless of what he says in the fine print on the bottom of the ad... What a ###!
