I have a small storefront that I’ve had decent success with for about six years. My modus operandi was to recycle and rotate things out of my closet, including vintage items, so I could buy more secondhand clothing. Those days are now over! The new owners (Naver, S Korean “Google”) changed the app and made it virtually unusable for buyers while throttling smaller closets. They have removed any sort of self promotion that we could do via posh parties and sharing. That’s where I’d get most of my sales. No matter what you do, they deem items in your closet “inactive”… whether they’ve been up for two weeks, or six months. As a buyer, if you don’t search for a specific brand, your results will show mostly Amazon, Temu and SHEIN drop sellers who are tripling prices for Posh users. So much for the mantra of trying g to Keep apparel out of landfills! Since the app update in Spring 2026, many longtime users have seen their sales tank. ((Even if you promote!)) It’s truly sad and the “ent[censored]ification” of Poshmark has been secured. It’s not fun anymore and I spend almost no time there- unless I am “relisting” items that Naver has deemed “inactive”.
