I had a dishwasher that got installed today during the morning. The technicians installed it in 10 minutes and left right after, without testing it.
As soon as the technicians left, I ran a cycle and the machine told me it couldn't drain. I removed the drain hose and attached to a bucket to troubleshoot if the problem was in the machine pump or in my draining system, after confirming that the machine was functioning and delivering the drainage to a bucket, I connected to where the technician had it connected, and the machine told it couldn't drain again. Then I noticed that the technician had plugged the machine in my garbage disposal under the kitchen, where he should plug it in the drain it was previously plugged.
I had to spend 6 hours of my day troubleshooting the root cause of this bad installation, just to realize that the installer plugged plugged the machine into a closed drain from my garbage disposal under the sink.
I consider this an installation problem and an unnaceptable mistake for a $250 installation, so I would like to request a refund of the installation fee, given that they left without testing it, and I had to finish the installation myself. I called PC Richard's Son and they offered me a $100 refund for this failure, which doesn't solve the problem.
Desired outcome: Full refund of the installation fee.
