travel insurance for flight cancellation only covers your death???
So I had problems with my visa and can't take my return flight, but my travel insurance I purchased in case this happened now doesn't cover it. Better yet, the number customer service gave me to file a claim was invalid...What's the point of purchasing travel insurance for your flight if the only refund you can receive is after your own death? Thanks, Opodo & British Airways were you too busy with tea time to fix my flight? I won't be using your "services" again.

I booked a flight from Tunisia to London and on the opodo website it was shown that the both the flight included a checked in luggage, however this was a big lie since only the return flight included a luggage, after receiving the email confirmation and realised I tried calling the customer services which advised me to complaint and when asked them to cancel my booking since it was a free cancellation booking that told me we wil only be able to refund you £3.40 after I paid almost £500 tickets!
Very disappointed will not use this website again and won't reccomend it to anyone!

booking cancellation without warning because of a wheelchair request
I Booked 4 flights to Bogota-Colombia on 11th July. My husband is disabled and therefore I requested a wheelchair for ease of things as transfers from terminal to terminal can be difficult. I got on the same day a booking confirmation and another email requesting extra information regarding the wheelchair. I rang today (17th July) because the money hasn't been withdrawn from our bank account to learnt that the booking has been cancelled because I didn't ring earlier to confirm wheelchair arrangements! and of course they wanted to charge me more money as to reserve a week later is more expensive. No respect for disabled customers ... in fact, worst rights for disabled customers as if I haven't disclosed my husbands needs none of this would have happened and I would still have the bookings at the price I thought I bought this tickets.
Its disgusting behaviour of Opodo and its policies towards procedures and timeframes regarding disabled passengers!

Dear sir/madam,
I booked a ticket to Beirut in January, and paid £75 insurance for no cancellation fees to be added on, if need be. However, on the same day after 10 minutes, I cancelled this booking. I asked for the refund but they added on the £75 for cancellation even though I paid for the insurance. When I called them, they consistently replied to me that the process was pending, however after 6 months you have still not returned the £75 which you took even though I paid the insurance.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I was suppose to fly from Mauritius to France with flight number VFBO2C on 19th June 2017. Unfortunately, I had a car accident on 13th June and it was a big accident with my car crashed completely and my health deeply affected. I have evidences of my accident as the case was reported to Police. I have tried calling Opodo to postpone my ticket or a refund but they said refund not possible so I was agreeing for a postpone but that too they asked me around USD 1000 ( penalty despite I took an premium option where it's said postpone is free plus ticket difference fee )which is a bit too much and my state was not good at all to decide when next I can travel.
I wish to recover the air ticket or at least postpone it for a later date. I can send you evidences of my car accident, medical paper advising me complete rest and phone calls made to Opodo from my operator for a change but that was unsuccessful.
I also requested the call center of Opodo an email address to write about my issue so that it can be forwarded to someone in charge but they didn't give me any address so I have written to Condor support team to explain why I cannot travel prior to my flight and they have advised me to liaise with Opodo to sort this out.
Please let me have a feedback as soon as possible. Relying on your support.

cancelling seat reservation
Hi I noticed on my itinerary with British airways that going out my reserved seats which I paid a lot for because I have Parkinson's disease I needed were cancelled without me knowing.No explanation.So I phoned you and explained that I paid a lot for 3 seats and why I needed them as I needed extra leg room all I got back was yoh Can gave any other normal seats go online and key us know which ones.I couldn't get onto anything on my booking to do with seat reservation and like I said I booked them early especially.So I had to cancel my flushers and not being my fault I lost over a thousand pounds.
I'm not happy with this and the attitude I got back

refusal to cancel flight and give refund
We booked a flight through Opodo with Volaris Airlines from Cancun to Veracruz, and the return journey on 15th June 2017 (Flight Y4 126). Opodo transaction number: [protected]; booking made on 13th August 2016.
I noted yesterday (19th May 2017) on the Volaris website that, without our being notified, they had changed the return date to 16th June when we will no longer even be in Mexico. I therefore wished to cancel the flight and obtain a refund. I telephoned Opodo, who denied that they were in the least bit responsible and claimed that it was my responsibility to cancel the flight, by telephoning Volaris on a Mexican number. Eventually, I was told that Opodo would email me a form to complete and return. Predictably, that didn't happen.
I just wish to get a refund for the flights which are no longer those for which we paid.

booking error - opodo blaming customer & giving false information
Opodo had an error on their website which lead to double names on the bookings. I called Opodo and they tell me the booking has the be canceled and rebooked ( over 600 GBP cost).
The airline (Lufthansa) says Opodo's information is incorrect, the name correction can be done free of charge as it is an obvious mistake.
I am requesting either a full refund of the entire reservation or the correction of the name.

I travelled to Mauritius on 3rd April via Eurowings...I booked with Opodo
flight no 4U355 operated by German Wings to Cologne and then from Cologne FLIGHT no. EW176 to Maurtius..
Although food was included on this long haul flight I was offered non, so i had to buy for which I paid 9.90 Euro on my Visa ..then at the end of the journey a breakfast was offered to me..which surprised me.
when i asked why i was not offered drinks and dinner for which i ended buying they said i should of asked them as they are very busy and did not see my name on the list and that i should have told . i am very disappointed with this service to say the least and i want to reclaim back the money i spend on the meal or i will take this further. I know the money is not much but the principle count. Not even a sorry and trying to say it is my fault for not asking for a meal..

cancelled my tickets in jan 17 but no refund till now
I cancelled my tickets via opodo in Jan 17, while doing that I was informed that it might take a maximum of 3 months to process the refund. It has been 5 months now and I haven't received the refund.
After following it up with them from last 4 months, all I get to hear is that refund is in process and would be done on priority.
Can someone let me know how this can be escalated and resolved?

Do not book with this company. This is the most unprofessional service provider i have ever dealt with in a decade of using online travel agents to book flights. I booked flights to usa with opodo for summer 2017, having been directed to them through skycanner (This company should think twice before being affiliated with such a disgraceful and corrupt company) in the beginning of february 2017 to find another £370 debited out of my account another two weeks later for the same paid flight. Therefore double charging me for a thomas cook flight i had already paid for (I booked through their sales team on the phone!) and effectively making an unauthorised payment from my account which by definition is fraud.
After several days on the phone to their customer service team trying to get the problem sorted, i managed to get through to the refunds team to explain the situation. After back and forth emails, sending my bank statement as proof, i was finally assured by their finance department that i will get this refund, it was a mistake on their part and that the refund has now been processed. I should expect to receive it the following week but they cannot promise me this. I asked "why will it take so long?", the adviser paused "due to a backlog of payments". Clearly, this is something they do on a regular basis, make unauthorised transactions, double charge, cancel flights...The complaints list is endless! A month has passed and i am still £370 down on my account and they have blocked my calls through their call centre and are ignoring all my emails. Absolutely disgusting and unprofessional. It is pathetic to say the least, i am astounded at their level of service and i would advise anyone thinking of booking through this company to seriously question such a decision. The cheaper cost is not worth the insurmountable problems you will have with your booking. I have launched an investigation through my bank and will definitely be procuring some legal assistance to help resolve this. I will also be taking this to the press. Despicable.

I booked a flight with Opodo for a return flight to Stockholm and a Stockholm hotel flying out with Scandanavian airlines and back with Lufhansa.
There was no where on any documentation I received from Opodo to say any of this was not-refundable. I spent half an hour on the phone to find, from a very unhelpful customer services rep that the flight was not refundable. and for some reason that I would get £30 back (less than 10% of ticket price). I was passed around several times before I got his info, I was then told that they did not deal with hotel cancellation and he would pass me on to a colleague. after waiting for 40 minutes, I gave this up as a bad job. It has taught never to use Opodo again (I have used them frequently in past, but never again). Possibly the worst customer service from any organisation I have ever dealt with.

I'd like to speak with someone with regards to our flights we booked through Opodo. I have just spoken to your India call centre and must say were no help what so ever. We have booked flights through yourself to ibiza in August. We had the use of a villa for a week and now the person who owns the villa has now accepted an offer for the villa and has sold. This means we can no longer go, due to a once in a life time trip to Florida we can't afford the expensive costs of a hotel or a villa at that time of year. I'm looking for some compassion as I'm now £650 out of pocket. What are my options? After talking to your Indian call centre I want to say your company is very unhelpful and put it all over social media. But I'm happy to give someone from your UK office to respond.

I bought the plane tickets from Opodo in December 2016.
On Mrach 4, 2017, I got a letter from Opodo saying one of my flights got cancelled. The booking confirmation is [protected]. I'm trying to contact them for 5 days now... writing to customer support on their web site, calling them... they don't reply...nobody's picking up the phone, it's just impossible to contact them.
I want to find out what I should do with one of my flights cancelled? Are they going to change my flight? Are they going to buy me different flight tickets? Or what should I do?
How can I contact them? I need to know about my flights!

hours on phone: 30 days + still waiting for refund
It all started with failure to honour the “best price guarantee” (Which met opodo’s conditions!) by a customer service rep - and after waiting 30 mins on the phone! How much easier it would have been for opodo to keep my custom and offer the minimal difference - instead a refund was offered, confirmed with an email.
30 days later and counting .. Opodo still has my money, in the meanwhile sending automated emails about check-in to the flight I cancelled!
As a result, another hour of my time wasted trying to get through to customer service again, being put on hold, passed around and then finally escalated to a supervisor - giving his name as “karan” and whose promised email on action has yet to materialise…
I have lost all trust with opodo from the appalling service and incompetence I have experienced with them and can only hope that they eventually return my money…i am left with the impression of being cheated by a cowboy set-up.

I need to cancel my refundable flight with British Air ways. Tried calling your customer service number more than 5 times. Each time the call gets disconnected after 30 min. incorrect flights
I am writing in connection to a booking place on the evening of 24/02/17.
I booked flights to bangkok from Manchester for 21/04/2017 returning 01/05/2017.
But recieved confirmation for 17/04/2017 returning 27/04/2017.
I called this morning once the contact centre number was available and spent a hour speaking to 5 different departments on a premium rate telephone number to be told no one could help me.
At this point I was promised a callback, which didn't happen.
4 hours later I called again and spent another 30 mins on the premium rate number speaking to 3 different departments.none of which would allow me to speak to a supervisor or manager.
I was eventually promised a cancellation and full refund. However I was informed this would take 3 weeks even though the payment was still only showing as pending.
This is unacceptable as I still need to book my flights before the prices increase further.
Furthermore I was informed that my time and inconvenience and cost for attempting to correct your error could not be reviewed. Again I was told I could not speak to a supervisor or manager.
I was informed to contact your customer service team via the website. A facility that does not exist.
I refuse to spend any further time on the telephone at my own cost, so have written this email to the only email address I can find.

I have had so many problems with this travel agency. I have been away from homr for 9 months and was just trying to book my flight home. The design of the mobile interface is lacking in information and misleading whixh led to me having booked my flight with a doubled surname. There is no passenger overview to show the information I have entered just as every other booking site has, instead, the mobile site directs you straight to the checkout. I booked my flight on the 13th of jan 2017 and after getting my booking confirmation email realised that my name was incorrext. After more than 5 attempts to resolve the issue, with Opodo in contact with my airline discussing my name change, and countless hours on hold, I called again for the last time on the 7th of february 2017 to find that my request for a name change was denied as thr change required more than 3 characters to be altered. It was suggested that I cancel my flight. Had I been informed my name change was denied or had Opodo discussed my name change with the airlines propperly I could have booked a different flight further in advance and saved money rather than the 10 days I now have. Not only has this been stressful and mentally draining on myself I have lost hundreds of pounds due to this companys poor oragisation and lack of proffesionalism. This experience has left me stressed and in debt with only hald a refund being given back. I will never use opodo again and implore my friends and family to do the same.
