I agree with you, he was one of my clients when he first opened up I refereed him to a friend and he screwed them over,
He never contacted the bank like he claimed and gave them the run around.

I met with Kyle Norton to see if I was qualaified for a mortgage modification in the fall of 2009. He advised I was and the fee was $5, 000. I agreed. After that meeting the only time I was contacted was for more money. When I finished paying the $5, 000 he kept billing me. It turns out that was only a retainer fee. I have paid him a total of $8, 100 for a Morgtage Modification which was DENIED!. I found out of the denial when I called the Bank. I was denied because of lack of current bank statements, a reaon which is inexcusable when I paid so much money to this Firm. Kim Ball, the office manager, called to advise me I still have a balance of $3, 000 for the failed modication!
To back track, in the beginning of my relationsip with this firm, I was advised by a paralegal named Kevin, who strongly recoommended I file bankruptcy. I was hesitant but he said it would be a fresh financial start. So, I met with their bankrupcty attorney, Raymond Verdi. The fee was $2, 500. I had to pay $1, 500 up front and the balance of $1, 000 would be included in the bankruptcy monthly payments. A few weeks later I received a summons from one of by creditors. I quickly met with Raymond Verdi with this legal document. He
advised me by the time this creditor would go to court, my bankruptcy would be in effect. This would stop this creditor with any further action. Needless to say, weeks went by and this creditor had my bank accoutns frozen and I am making a high monthly payment to them through the Sheriff's Dept. North Law Group never filed my bankruptcy. The reason they gave was my mortgage modification had to first be finalized. To date, I paid them $9, 600. for a combination of a failed morgage modification and a bankruptcy that was never filed. My accounts are still frozen and I am meeting with a new attorney to work with this creditor to unfreeze my accounts. One last point, I recently received a letter from Norton regarding my balance of $3, 000. They would erase this balance if I sign a release. They are offering this for the sake of good client relationship.

I actually filed a complaint with the grievance committee to get my money back from 'NORTON LAW GROUP'. The weasel wouldn't even show his face-he sent HIS ATTORNEY to cut a deal with me before we went in front of the committee. He led me on for well over a year-same tactics; no return phone calls, we need more documents, etc and so forth. He also sent me invoices (after I put in the complaint) for additional monies owed to him over & above the fee I paid him up front. I REFUSED TO PAY HIM A DIME and told him so--he had gotten enough out of me both emotionally & financially! I would love to see this guy HANG ---

Here's the Norton Law Group now known as Law Offices of Kyle Norton, P.C. game: get as much money up front as they can. Do nothing. Ask for more money, via hitlady Kimberly Ball. Never file any court papers. They dont even know how to if they wanted to.

When they go to court they know nothing and adjourn your case. And, oh yes, keep charging you a fortune. Kyle Norton has not evern been practicing for 10 years, yet charges $500.00 an hour. That is outrageous!

His "paraglegals" are nothing more than ex-mortgage processors who are now out of work now that the mortgage industry crashed. They will cost you $125 an hour or so for shuffling papers, making copies and faxes. And that's only done if you threaten to leave. Otherwise, you got a better shot with the lottery; at least something positive might happen.

His days are numbered hopefully. He has a pile of complaints. "Where there is smoke there is fire" e-mail me at scammedbykylenorton@yahoo.com if you want to help bury this con man.

I disagree with the shuffling of papers, I tried doing this on my own for over a year. Received a trial paid the trial for months only to be denied a permanent. Had to go to Norton Law for help because I couldn't understand why they denied me and then put me in foreclosure. They helped get me a permanent mod with a 2% rate, lowered my payment and took me out of foreclosure. it cost some money for legal fees, but saved money on my mortgage and interest and ultimately saved me from foreclosure after the bank lied to me by telling me they were going to help me. I think the banks are the crooks and the liars. At least thats what the news is saying now. I think kyle and his staff cares.

I will have to disagree with the comments posted by Bill M. I went to MR Norton’s office several years ago because I was 2 years late on my mortgage payments and filed multiple Bankruptcies during the course of that time to stay the Bank from foreclosing on my home. and it was all to no avail, I finally decided to see a lawyer and Mr. Norton indicated to me that had I not tried to think that I could deal with the banks on my own I would not be in the predicament that I was in now. Ultimately I was grateful that His office was able to show the courts that I was indeed able to pay my mortgage, but had fallen on hard times a few years back from the economy and was not able to catch up. Anyway they helped modify my mortgage and I will be forever grateful because my home was saved from foreclosure

I agree with all of your comments. Kyle Norton is a bigger predator than the mortgage companies he claims to protect you from. I payed for him to perform a cause to show action to save my home. He and his firm lied about expediting this saying it was a guarantee to stop the sale of my house. I was told that extra charges would be incurred due to the fact that he needed to bring in paraleagals in on a Saturday to do my paperwork because Monday was the deadline for paperwork. I did was a his office at 6:30am and stayed there all day. No employees ever came in. The following Tues. I recieved a call from their office manager Kimberly Ball requesting documents that they lost. This woman is a bigger con artist than her boss. Thier stalls prevented a good layer in the firm Barbara from doing her job effectively. All of this fraud and I'm in a worse sitution then before only a bit poorer. They took my kindness for a weakness yet this time they picked the wrong victim. I'm not a weak person. Every moment of my free time will be devoted to making all of them suffer. If anyone out there wants to get on board and help teach Mr. Norton and his skank office manager a lesson contact me at ovenman247@ aol.com . Thanks for taking the time to listen to horror.

Not only did my house go into foreclosure after following the advice of norton law group. But my neighbor had the same experience. When we contracted with norton law they stated we did meet the guidelines for remodification but we had to pay 2400.00 before they would file so after paying norton . WE WAITED MONTHS.
After months of waiting norton law group stated we did qualify for remodification.
We paid a flat fee per our first meeting and after being informed we did not get the remodification we received a bill for an additional 3400.00 which was never AGREED TO. Also our neighbor receivced a bill for the same roughly the same amount ...This low life parasitic leach should be disbarred and criminal charges should be filed in my opinion.

I absolutely agree with you. They shuffle papers from one side of the desk to the other. Write to the State Grievance Committee @ 150 Motor Parkway Suite 102 Hauppauge, NY 11788. Maybe with enough complaints we can get this guy disbarred and save other people. I'm right there with you so I know what you are going through.

Don't get your hopes up on getting him disbarred - the same thing happened to me about 10-11 years ago - he doesn't really do anything other than make a few useless phone calls and use it as an excuse to bill you $[protected] per month FOREVER or until you get wise and fire him. I went through the Grievance Committee and went through an arbitration on Motor Pkwy and wound up getting HALF my money back - same as HUNDREDS of others - but they refuse to disbar him - he apparently knows the loopholes - after all, he IS a Lawyer ! Can't believe he is STILL getting away with the same crap !

Same thing happened to me. Do you think it is too late to file a complaint? I would love to help in any way to get him disbarred.
