Neighbors Federal Credit Union ain't all that great
Neighbors Federal Credit Union ain't all that great. I been with them for like 40 years, that's a long time, ya know? But then in January, someone took a grand from my account when I usually only pay like $300. I was so surprised! I called the company and they said sorry but wouldn't give me my money back. So I went to NFCU and asked for a loan to help me out, but they said no way. They didn't care about my situation at all. And then they kept charging me fees on top of fees! I tried to redirect my retirement payment but it didn't go through in time and Neighbors took all of it and started bouncing everything again. They charged me more NSF fees and I ended up with almost $1700 in the negative. I'm getting back on my feet now but they won't let me pay them back. They only want cash! I ain't ever going back there again. Even though I've been with them for so long and paid back all my loans, they treated me like they didn't give a damn. I used to be proud of being with them but now I'm ashamed. They don't deserve to call themselves a credit union.

I gots a checkin' and savin' account with Neighbors Federal Credit Union
I gots a checkin' and savin' account with Neighbors Federal Credit Union. They charged me fees for overdraft when my account said I had money in there. They did reverse 3 of the $32 fees as a "courtesy," but they wouldn't reverse the other 2 even after I showed them screenshots where it showed I had money in there. I wants them to reverse the other 2, $32 fees. My account is negative now 'cause of the $160 in wrong overdraft fees. If they never charged me those fees, my account would be positive.
I tried to pay my bill and stop a payment, but Neighbors Federal Credit Union denied me
I tried to pay my bill and stop a payment, but Neighbors Federal Credit Union denied me. I opened an account with them and set up a payment to be taken out. When I talked to my mortgage company and found out I could pay less, I asked my bank to stop the payment. They said no and kept running it. They charged me for NSF because they wouldn't stop it, and it caused my payment to be declined too. They did give me back the fees, but they still didn't accept my payment.

I paid off my loan, but now I'm being told it's not closed
I paid off my loan, but now I'm being told it's not closed. Apparently, you can't close it online. They reported me to the credit bureau for a late payment, even though I thought it was paid in full. Now I have to pay more fees and interest. I want my credit report fixed and the loan marked as paid in full. I also want the late fees and interest charges removed. I paid the amount due, but there was still a balance of 0.01 that I couldn't pay. The collection department keeps calling me about an account I already paid off. My credit report says the account is paid, but now it's saying it's past due.
I got charged $160 in courtesy pay fees from Neighbors Federal Credit Union
I got charged $160 in courtesy pay fees from Neighbors Federal Credit Union. This happened before and I asked to opt out of courtesy pay and overdraft on my account. On June 15, I saw 5 courtesy pay fees at $32 each totaling $160 because Neighbors covered some PayPal transactions. I would have preferred if they didn't pay these items as none were over $10 and I had already asked them not to pay items if my account can't cover it. COVID has caused me undue stress as my income has changed and I can't afford this fee. I transferred funds to my account to cover a bill, but it took a few days to post, and now I won't be able to pay this. Previously, it was over $100 in courtesy pay. I never opted in for this service and don't want it as it put me in a strain. When I called about it, they apologized and said they can't waive fees that I made transactions and tried to end the call. It's also unsympathetic that at a time like this, they would even charge you this many times. I could understand if they paid one of the small charges and accessed the $32 fee, but for them to charge it 5 times, it's an unfair business practice, and I feel it's a tactic for them to make money off their customers. I wasn't aware my balance was $0. I've tried accessing my account via online and mobile application last week and this weekend several times, and it wasn't available, and charges are not deducted in real-time either, so the balance is always off when you can check it, which results in a person thinking they may have more funds than they actually have. I'm very upset as now I am over $100 short on a bill and can't cover it. I was under the impression from a few months ago that this was opted out when I spoke with someone about this same thing. Please help me. I just want the funds returned back to my account. With COVID going on, they shouldn't even be charging fees, and customers should be protected against these charges at this time.
