Bought an extended warranty on a Samsung 46" TV at Nebraska Furniture Mart. TV cost $1, 500.00. It broke after 18 months. Called NFM to report the problem, they said they had nothing to do with it, had to call extended warranty company, Assurant. They had the TV for 6 1/2 weeks. Decided they couldn't fix it. We thought we would get to go to NFM and pick out new one. NFM washes their hands of it once you buy an extended warranty. Assurant would only send us a TV of their choosing for a value of $800.00. Totally got screwed. Lesser quality TV. Do not buy extended warranty, they are a rip off.

As a Gold Star Mother I take great offense for your bombardment with ads telling us how American you are and how Memorial Day is all about having to shop and buy at NFM. I guess none of your family members have had to serve this country or die for it. We have had all of our holidays taken from us by retailers telling everyone that they NEED stuff. Memorial Day IS NOT about a mattress sale or some dumb electronic item which will be outdated before we leave the parking lot. Memorial Day IS ABOUT our fallen hero's- Freedom is NOT Free or about a sale. Thank-you GSM Barb

YOU COULD HAVE REFUSED THE REPLACEMENT IF IT WAS A LESSER QUALITY. SOMETIMES THEY MAKE MISTAKES. IF YOU HAD READ THE INFO AVAILABLE ON THE WARRANTY ITS REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF EQUAL OR COMPERABLE UNIT. IF IT WASNT COMPERABLE YOU COULD HAVE REFUSED AND ASKED FOR A DIFFERENT OPTION.

Dealing with Assurant and Nebraska Funiture Mart ---------------They both suck! been without a TV for a Month while they lie about where the paperwork is and how far along it is. Going to call again today because they havent' t called me back in over a week. They have ASOLUTELY NO CUSOTMER SKILLS! it is always a pleasure to talk to them. (NOT!) Will be filling a complaint with BBB but what will that do? Nothing can not believe a company can be ran so bad and still be picked up by IBM and Nebraska Funiture Mart. Makes you wonder
