My daughter has been with Navy Federal for years. She has always kept a positive balance as she does not make a lot of money. She got a scam call that took $795.00 from her account. The minute she realized her information was stolen she called her bank. They followed all protocols but then advised my daughter that she was responsible for being scammed. Not once but twice with this company and they have denied it both times, I believe that your company is just as bad as the scammers who take our money. It is our responsibility to contact you for help when this happens but then you penalize people and make them pay twice. the scammer took the money and now you get paid too. My daughter barley makes ends meet. Too make matters worse this caused my daughter so much anxiety because she has adult ADD and does not understand why this has happened to her twice and your company charged her for it twice. You are not a bank for the people. I hope people know that your fraud department is trash. Her check hit the account a day after you decided to charge her for being scammed, took her whole check and she still owes $200 for being scammed. Thank you Navy Federal for Breaking a young woman who barley makes ends meet down and thinks it was her fault she got scammed. When her next check comes in, she will be a whole month without pay for being scammed. Navy Federal you really don't care for the people who stay with you for years, has no overdraft, does not leave negative balance, and reaches out for help and you let my daughter down. I am coming to you as a parent of a child who will be one whole month without pay for being scammed. Thank you for letting her know the worst is not just the people of this world but the people behind the phones as well.
Recommendation: If you are worried you might get scammed please do not go to Navy Federal. they will blame you and make you pay for being scammed.
