I was making a purse with my Visa, and it was declined because Navy needed to verify me, but never notified me. They notified me on the Navy app after the decline.. if Navy needed to verify me, why didn’t they text me or why didn’t they call me? They have my number. It was highly embarrassing to receive a decline. We’re making a purchase and you know that the funds are there.. I’m grateful that it was online versus in person, but there was nothing stopping from it happening in person as well.. when I have a concern with Navy. I have to call Navy when Navy has a concern with me. Navy needs to call me.. not put it on my Visa notice where I would not be looking at when I’m making a purchase. This is not a good business and this is not how Navy used to operate. I’m not sure what’s happening right now.
Claimed loss: There was no monetary lost but embarrassment and that is priceless.
Desired outcome: If there is a problem with verifying who I am when I’m using my account, it is only fair and and professional that Navy contacts me if they need me to verify that it’s me not to decline my transaction and wait on me to
