I have been with NFCU for 31 years. Last month, someone unsuccessfully attempted to fraudulently deposit $700 into my account via Zelle. NFCU immediately froze my account, removed my access, seized my funds pending a permanent account closure. I went to the branch and was told there is nothing I can do and that this actually happens a lot. NFCU prefers to just closes accounts even though this fraud was not the fault of the member. NFCU used to be an amazing bank, but they no longer put members first.
