M&T Bank review: Mortgage refinance
Looking to close on the Refi and final disclosure notified me that we would incur and additional fee not disclosed previously. This was to hold the rate past 60 days. We were asked when we would like to close and were not informed of the pending date nor the fees that would be incurred because of this date. Had we known we could have figured time which could have worked to not incur the fee. We were not given that option. Now the leverage of declining our loan is being used to pressure the closing and pay the fee which would further delay the process.
Claimed loss: 387.50
Desired outcome: Have this fee waived before closing or have it reimbursed if it cannot be waived before closing. Also, if the lower rate for the 5/1 could be honored that would be a great step in the right direction
