Functionality and refund policy
I am looking for a tracking app for our child, mSpy was one of the option mentioned on the internet as "Top".
First I wanted to subscribe to Trial, but live chat occured and the business person gave me a promotial code as a an answer to my questions. This way and by mistake I subscribed to Premium. No problem I hoped the product would meet my needs.
First problem with installation, some error code 96 during the process. A person on chat adviced to watch the installation video, of course it could not help, I proceeded properly. The support person could not help, they wanted me to access my phone directly, which I refused.
That's why I installed the app on my phone instead on the child's with purpose to test it with an idea, if the tests pass, we can buy new phone for the child, where the app can be installed.
I had a number of issues, not sure I should give details here. It is related to the fact the app can be easily stopped and also mobile data, GPS are not protected and can be stopped. Thus the child can easily stop tracking.
This is not about support, these are the features not meeting my requirements.
SO I decided to cancel the subscription and ask for refund.
It was no later than 3 days after I started the subscription.
mSpy refused to refund with a note I did not try the product, because I don't have assigned a mobile device. This resolution came after 14 days from my cancelation and refund request.
It seems the mSpy person did not read my testing process and issues at all.
The money for nothing was paid, I understand they need to earn, but this approach upsets me, this is "shark" approach.
I would sincerely discourage anyone to subscribe this product, it is more about marketing than real value.

Poor Product Battling to get refund
I purchased the product on the 15/03/2021. Already on purchase I noticed I wasn't able to access all the features and the updates were not frequent as advertised. It worked for one day and then I got a notice saying it lost connection. I reinstalled the app again and again after one day and infrequent updates I got a message that it has lost connection. The device in question is always online (mobile data or wifi). I have contacted the support chat but they are unhelpful. I have also sent numerous mails to the refund and billing depart with only one response on the day I reinstalled the app saying it shows as working and they won't be refunding. To say I am unhappy with the product and service would be an understatement. I do not want an alternative or a repair I want a full refund as this software does not work.

Mspy constantly lost connection for me too and don't hold your breath on the refund because they will say no. Terrible company-dishonest-rude-and I hope at some point it affects their business their. Sorry you went through the same thing.
Premium year subscription for iphone
I have purchased an annual premium subscription for an iPhone. The dashboard didn't work from the beginning, while I followed all the installation steps. No data. Called the help desk many times and told me that the dashboard isn't working indeed and that i have to use an itunes alternative called anytrans. This is not the product i have purchased, and it looks like i purchased a license for this anytrance. Anytrance sell itself a cheaper license so i feel deceived. I am trying to get a refund but every time they try to "sell"me a new cheap product. I just want my money back which i eligible for according to the conditions.
Well, they insist not to refund and sent me everytime this message. So People please don't purchase anything from MSPY. They deceive you, they make it like it is my fault. They are a rip and don't sell you the product they advertise

Cancellation of my subscription
I have purchased one year subscription plan of mspy which would help me keep track of my child's activities. The site claimed to track all the records of the activities done on the target phone. After purchasing the plan I didn't find any records when seeked for support I was told that it will not Track the details when the phone is connected through datapack which was no where specified on the website or anywhere while I was purchasing the plan when I raised my concern about the cancellation I was told that they will raise a ticket for the cancellation and the billing team will contact me, I have waited for more than 2 weeks and dropped several mails and raised tickets after which I got a reply asking me to compromise with 40% refund which I denied and dropped lots of mail and yet again they are not responding

I paid for Myspy (a year up front) which was installed on my partners phone. Within 24 hours (whilst hexwas at work the next morning) he noticed his phone was running slow and became suspicious. He did a factory reset and this was removed instantly. I am very upset as not only did I pay a lot of money for this I'm still chasing a refund weeks later. I've not been given the service promised to me and feel very let down. This seems to easily detected and too easy to remove from a device.

Their software sucks. Their software is overpriced. Shame on you for your customer service. It's terrible.
I have been trying to get my money back for 4 months and everything is useless.

All of those bad reviews terrify me. Is it really that bad? Are there really so many people like me who fell for that?
I think everyone would like to refund, but it's absolutely impossible. It's a very sneaky website. They have terms and conditions, they have policies, but they are not shown on the website. Not sure how legitimate is this.
Maybe we have to create some kind of a petition and ask all of the people who suffered from mSpy actions to sign it? What do you think?

poor service
I have installed mSpy on my phone and it seemed to work fine, but later it just stopped working. I decided to reinstall the app and it actually helped. Again, worked for a few hour and crashed. I've tried the same method 4 times and gave up. Then I went to mSpy official web page (www.mspy.com) and emailed custom service with no luck getting a response. I needed some advice but they ignored me when I needed their help. Such a poor service.

I downloaded app from the website www.mspy.com. I paid large sum for this piece of crap. I downloaded it, but nothing worked. I tried to ask for the help form the moderators, but they ignored my emails and calls. They need only your money and they didn’t car about their customers. First they charged me three times and refuse to refund any money.. I have worked with customer support and I have installed it and uninstalled it three or four different times and this does not work with my phone... They absolutely will not refund any money and I don't even use the service this is all b******* and a greedy scam
I have received renew notification from mspy, so I login immediately and cancelled the subscription, after that, I got the confirmation email from mspy. However, I still got charged one week later (yesterday night).
I sent the refund request to mspy and waiting for feedback.
I purchased the software last year November then when I download the app it was totally different They false advertised their software which turned out I'm not happy with the product/ service still they don't want to refund until today since last yeae

I have purchased 1 month subscription and can't access my account. I emailed them and they told my that my account doesn't exist . I want to cancel my subscription and get my money back. Now they stop answering my email.
I can't express how grateful I am for mSpy. My teenager was going through a tough time with cyberbullying, and I had no idea until I installed mSpy on their phone. This software allowed me to monitor their social media and messages, and I was able to intervene and provide the support they needed. The peace of mind it gave me is priceless!
The tracking and monitoring features are legit, no doubt. But, the mSpy subscription costs can pile up over time. Before you commit, make sure you'll use all those features you're paying for. Just saying!
08/04/23 i was trying to use mspy in order to you had to pay first but if you was not satisfied with the 14day you are guarantee you money back. will not give me my money back I have been going back and forth with them. 43.19 and 3.99
Purchased following the "try now" button. Installed ok, but some of the advertised features did not work, such as capturing messenger and browser history. I requested a refund minutes after the purchase, which was refused. It's a fraudulent company running a scam, and as I understand, I am not the first one to end up in this situation.
Said they could monitor child’s social media and phone. However after I paid $139.99 now they say they can’t and it’s because I don’t have the proper device. So they won’t refund me.

I have been robbed my money too. Accidentally subscribed into it took my 135 usd. Then refused to refund me saying that my reason is beyond their control. Anyone who doesn’t use your services need not to pay you money, you are in a good position to confirm that. This is a way of grabbing people’s money for free with vague policies. I’m pissed !
I am in the same boat. I have bought a full 12-month subscription on 22 September 2023. I was actually excited to try it out and see what my teenage son has been up to. It's now been 4days and no call logs, no messages, no nothing. The worst part is, they 2nd charge me for mAssistance. I did not request for mAssitance and I have not been notified about it. mSpy robbed me, and I'm very disappointed about how a company can take advantage of customers.
I sent my 1st email complaint to refund@mspy.com and copied support@complaintsboard.com and explained to them that their product hasn't worked since day 1. Basically, they said they have checked and can see that the application is installed properly and updating (well, duh - I never claimed that the application was not installed properly. My complaint is that their product doesn't work. They then went on to say that I agreed to their refund policy and that they would only agree to a refund if there was a technical issue that they could not fix. So, I would join you in forming a class action lawsuit against mSpy. They have no right to second charge me for something I didn't agree to and was not aware of. These people have no heart!

These scam artists are JUST THAT and I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau and Fraud Center of Canada! They should be getting contacted soon as their legalities are junk as my lawyer has also taken a look at this and a class action lawsuit is looking to be drawn up! [censored] are scamming people!
MSpy refused to refund me even though they misrepresented their product. They said their website has not been updated to reflect a change in installation procedure. This was their excuse as far back as 2021. They are knowingly lying about their product. I simply disputed the charge with VISA. If you have VISA you are NOT responsible for charges in which you did not get what you pay for. They asked for the details, and I got the charge credited back to my card. This produces a Charge-Back to MSpy which costs them money. I have the last laugh!

I have been back and forth for months. Keep your correspondence with them because I’m definitely going to get this class action lawsuit in order. I’m going to have paperwork put together for everyone who wants in to sign. I’m so tired of scam artists stealing from us!

I also asked for my money back only minutes after signing up. After reading the money back guarantee. They have refused reimbursement. Saying I do not meet credentials and agreed to their terms and conditions as soon as payment was made. What a crock. Bunch of scammers.

Chris, did you pay with a credit card? If you did, simply dispute the charge. You are not responsible for charges in which you didn’t get what you pay for. I did it, and got my money credited to my card. They will simply ask you for details of the situation. By doing a ‘charge-back’ you get your money back and MSpy is burdened with a charge.
