Mr. Tire Good company gone to the dogs

Our local location (Amherst OH) was great. Have gone to them for years but the company is in financial trouble and they hired a "turnaround expert" as CEO. This means cut cut cut cut cut. There is no staff left. So much so that you can't sit in the lobby and wait for your car anymore but no one tells you this. I was told I might have to wait up to 7 hours to get an OIL CHANGE done. I couldn't wait but I had to have the work done so I had to walk home, over 1/2 mile, in a dengerous heat and humidity index, in pouring rain, wearing $6000 hearing aids, at 70 years old, with arthritic joints. When I called corporate about it their response was, gee, thats terrible, we could give you a $35 store credit for your next visit. Sorry folks, there will be no "next visit." Our business relationship is over.

Recommendation: Unless Mr Tire/Monro pulls itself out of the financial dumper, don't go there. They are not cutting prices anymore and the customer service has gone to complete hell. It's not worth the aggravation.

Mr. Tire 1 star — $2,000 wasted, zero accountability — avoid at all costs

I brought my Audi Q7 to Mr. Tire for a misfire issue. They charged me $2,000 to replace plugs and coils and assured me this would fix the problem. It didn’t. Not only did the car still have the exact same issue, but after multiple visits and wasted days, they finally admitted they never did a proper diagnosis in the first place.

Instead of owning their mistake, they tried to upsell me on expensive engine work without any real evidence or confirmation of the problem. Their communication was nonexistent unless I chased them, and I never got a straight answer about what was wrong with my car. I had to fight for a basic leak-down test, which they promised but never actually performed.

Mr. Tire’s business model is to guess, throw parts at your car, drain your wallet, and dodge accountability. Customer service is a joke — I brought lunch for their staff and still got treated like a number. Don’t let these scammers waste your money or time. There are plenty of honest mechanics in Mansfield. This place is not one of them.

Avoid Mr. Tire like the plague.

Recommendation: STAY AWAY

Mr. Tire Expensive state inspection visit

I have been to Mr. Tire numerous times for NY state inspection. This time I noticed clanking noises from the passenger side rear tire area. I reported that to the technician and after they took a look at the car, came back and told me it needed $2,000 worth of work to get it to pass inspection.

I trusted them, paid the money and the car rides exactly the same as before the alleged work was done and the clanking noise is still there when i go over a bump.

When I called back about this explaining the above, I was asked by the same technician "how can I help you".

If there was a -10 star rating, that would be generous. Totally unacceptable.

Recommendation: Buyer BEWARE !

Mr. Tire Mixed Experiences with Mr. Tire Inc

As someone who values quality service and reliability, my experiences with Mr. Tire Inc. have been quite mixed. While some visits have been satisfactory, there have been instances where the service fell short of expectations. The staff's attention to detail and accuracy in tasks like tire pressure and sensor recalibration have been inconsistent, leading to doubts about the overall quality of work. Despite some positive encounters with professional technicians like Mr. Chris, there have been instances of overcharging and unnecessary upselling, leaving me feeling skeptical about the value provided. It's essential to approach Mr. Tire Inc. with caution and ensure clear communication to avoid any potential disappointments.

Today, May 30, 2025, at approximately 6:00 PM, Cenona Wisocki (Filipino) arrived at Mr. Tire located at 1060 Wayne Avenue, Chambersburg, PA. 17201. She needed a new tire to be mounted and balanced on a rim for her 2024 Toyota Tacoma truck. They refused to do it. They told her that she must purchase a tire from them. However, they then told her that they would do it for $390. The worker was a white Caucasian male.

Mr. Tire A/C sensor, condenser/compressor, coolant reservoir bottle, anti-freeze, coolant exchange

I am writing to convey my concerns with the services rendered by one of your Mr. Tire Auto Centers. I have a 2017 Chevy Suburban LS 1500 with a V8 5.3L Flex engine, in which I relied on Mr. Tires for maintenance services on my last five vehicles for over twenty years. The resolution I am interested in is for Mr. Tire corporate office to provide new materials that were previously paid for but not appropriately or fairly installed and/or a refund for the following payments service:
- On January 12, 2024, I was towed to Auto Center #773, to request services on my coolant pressure and to inform the service rep that coolant was leaking, the temperature gauge was not working, and the truck was overheating. After the courtesy inspection was performed, it was determined by Technician A. Douglas (077620-0.00) that I needed the coolant reservoir bottle replaced and the coolant sensor. I paid $1,097.25 to replace my coolant reservoir bottle, coolant temperature sensor and the coolant fluid exchange. Please note: This was a winter month that got warm all of a sudden. The A/C was not used again until April.
- On April 4, 2024, after calling for three weeks to schedule an appointment to have my A/C serviced, I went into Auto Center #773 to inform them the A/C was not blowing cold and the heat was not blowing either, and to get an oil change. After completing the oil change, Technician M. Pickett (028580) determined that the truck needed a thermostat replacement and I was charged again for the coolant fluid exchange. Other services charged were for a wheel alignment and two stabilizer links. I paid a total of $1,159.48, in which $590.24 went to the cost of Anti-freeze, coolant exchange and the thermostat.
- On April 14, 2024, I went into Auto Center #773, to inform them the A/C was still not blowing cold, even after replacing a thermostat, a sensor, and a reservoir bottle. After another courtesy inspection, I was told by Manager Alexander Freter, I would need the condenser replaced. In addition, I was charged for coolant exchange and A/C dye, bringing the amount total to $1241.14. Mr. Freter suggested that the condition for ordering the condenser was for me to provided $100 deposit, in which I did.
- I returned on April 19, 2024, to have the condenser replaced; install by Technician M. Pickett [protected].00). In addition to paying for the condenser, I was charged again for 20lbs of Anti-freeze (R1234YF), full A/C service and A/C dye, totaling $1213.45.
- On October 11, 2024, I went into Auto Center #773 for an oil change, which the service for the courtesy inspection included topping of the fluids, free battery check and complimentary tire rotation. According to Technician C. Dennis [protected].00), the battery could not be recharge and needed to be replaced. Costing me another $640.67.
This is the second year in a row Auto Center #773 has prolonged my A/C courtesy inspection due to unavailable equipment needed for the services. With all the expensive parts replaced and multiple services performed on the A/C in my truck. I should not be experiencing additional issues from one year to the next. Above is a history of the services and parts paid for in full last year and below is a description of the extended wait times for Mr. Tire # 773, to address a continuation of A/C issues with in truck.
- Called on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 to schedule an appointment for Friday, March 21, 2025 to have my A/C serviced.
- Arrived to the appointment on March 21, 2025 at 0900, my scheduled time, and was told by Manager Alexander Freter that my truck uses the new type of coolant (R1234YF) and the machine that they need for that service was loaned to another service center.
o Problem: No consideration for my time or travel distance of 13.7 miles, to have my scheduled appointment postponed until further notice. Alex stated, he would call me by Sunday, March 23, 2025 if the center returned the equipment needed for my service.
 Mr. Freter did not call me prior to my arrival, to reschedule. Inconsiderate.
 Mr. Freter did not provide me the option to go to another location for the A/C service. Discourteous.
- On March 31, 2025, I still have not heard back from Mr. Tires to reschedule my appoint, which caused me to follow-up on the status of the equipment. I was told by Mr. Freter that the equipment was returned with broken parts that needed to be replaced and that my name was on the list to be called back once the equipment was fixed.
- On April 14, 2025, I called Mr. Tire for a status update, which I was told that they put in a parts request with the Area Manager and was awaiting his/her response.
- On April 22, 2025, I called again for another status update to see if someone could schedule me with another Mr. Tire that has the equipment needed to service my vehicle. I was told by Alex that there were no other Mr. Tires in the surrounding area, from Eldersburg, Woodlawn, Pikesville, Randallstown, Gwynn Oak to Laurel, MD. He said, “That is why they borrow theirs.”
o Later that day, a mechanic, who I employed to replace the motor mounts in my vehicle, discovered the A/C parts that were supposedly replaced by Mr. Tires a year ago, where not new. The coolant reservoir bottle was less than a quarter full and had the appearance of coolant residue leaking down the sides and there was a hole in the A/C return hose and the compressor looked corroded.
Mr. Tires Auto Center #773 must be held accountable for the deceptive performance in service, including remedies or penalties for not meeting agreed upon service levels. In all fairness, I would like to be compensated for $4242.08, the costs of replacing parts for the A/C that has not worked consistently for more than one season and for the deception of services not fully completed, or providing adequate inspection and service for A/C with anymore part replacement included, free of charge.

Claimed loss: After replacing the A/C temperature sensor, coolant reservoir bottle, condenser/compressor, and loads of ant-freeze and coolant fluid exchanges, one year later and there is still an issue with the A/C blowing hot air. and leaking.

Desired outcome: Refund me $4242.08 for the costs of replacing parts for the A/C that has not worked consistently for more than one season and for the deception of services not fully completed.

Mr. Tire Winter check-up

I dropped my car off about 2:00 on Saturday January 4, 2025, and asked that the tire pressure be checked, brake fluid, power steering fluid, oil, brakes. When I got the call that my car was ready for pick-up, Thomas Blackned told me everything checked out and there was no charge. He went over the findings that he said needed to be addressed soon but for now it was good.

Sunday morning, I had a meeting at the White House in DC and less than a mile from my house the headlights shut off. A few minutes later my battery light came on, then the check engine light, and the entire dashboard lit up and then shut down. The windows wouldn't work. I thought it was the battery, so I called AAA.

When the first AAA representative came out, she thought it could be the battery because the light came on, but it tested ok, so she called a tow truck. The truck came out and found the tire pressure was 8 and all four tires were low when the store document said the pressure was 32. The car couldn't be towed until AAA put air in the tires.

Last month my check engine light came on usually for an oil and filter change, I scheduled an appointment and took it in, and Tom waited on me. I told him that I had a change a few miles ago and after checking the records it had only been 500 miles. He said that the timer had not been reset so he reset it and told me I was fine and didn't need another so soon. Yet on this report he said I needed filters. Also, nothing on the check list was labeled 1-end of use but everything was technician recommended. Also, I had a coolant flush at the same time I had the oil and filter change

Claimed loss: I lost time that I didn't have and now without a car indefinitely. I had the car towed back to the service center where only the assistant manager was on duty with no information as to how to move forward.

Desired outcome: I would like for everything to be restored to working order cost of a rental car until resolved.

Mr. Tire Put new axels on car, one fell off 1.5 hours after leaving shop while on highway, causing car to be totalled mechanically

3/5/24 departed Mr. Tires after spending $2666 for new axels as they deemed car would not make it to GA unless they were replaced. 1.5 hours later on 95S left rear axel, due to not being seated properly, came off, causing all diffuser fluid to leak from that axel, causing gears to lock up. Towed and now it costs additionally $10,079 to repair damages due to their negligence. We had to fly home not to miss more work. Car is being charged storage fees.

Claimed loss: $2666 Mr. Tire fee, $10,079, $750 flight, $208 uber, $93 tow.

Desired outcome: Please contact me asap. Full reimbursement of the $2666 from Mr. Tires, payment of $10,079 to get car operatable again. All other fees listed above and any upcoming legal fees.

Mr. Tire $3500 and van is in worse shape

I took my van to the local Mr. Tire here in Northfield Ohio and it is now in worse shape than when i started. Dave the manager is very nice but not sure about anything else. i had front brakes, struts, oxygen sensor, temp sensor then a week later the vsa sensor lights all came on and the vsa lights came on the dashboard and the van went into limp mode. it was fixed and went to go to the doctors and 10 min down the road all lights came back on and I took it back, they had to replace the vsa sensor again with parts from AutoZone; which costed me $1200 but could not get the engine light to go off and i was told to take my van to another place. i was set to take my van to a Honda dealership but drove the van 8 minutes down and the van went right back into limp mode so i got it back to Dave because I like him and then they got apart from a Honda Dealership and still cannot get the engine light off. when we got the van back there and Dave did not even come outside and sort of hid.so now my van is at a dealership, and I have to pay for everything all over again that your company could not fix. Oh and one of the struts is making noises to again. I have 2 vehicles that i took there and I am afraid of driving either one of them. I am taking my car to Firestone to have it looked at and fixed properly. i think i should get some sort of restitution now that i have to pay for everything all over again which i cannot afford. I took a loan out to get the van fixed and thought i took it to a reapable place of business. My mistake.

Claimed loss: 1200

Desired outcome: 1200

Mr. Tire Noise while steering the wheel

Sir,

I had a service work at Mr.Tire Location Davis Drive , Cary NC location. I had a very bad experience with the service rendered.

1. I had noise while steering the wheel and oil was leaking. They could not identify the problem. They replaced the Steering oil . That costed me round $300+

2. The noise did not go away, and it was still leaking, I visited again after a week. They suspected it was the Axle and that costed $500+ and changed the Left Axle and said all good.

3. After few weeks, I still had oil leak. Now they checked and mentioned the switch is broken. Now sure they broke it the process of checking ( as they never mentioned in earlier visit), They replaced the switch and that costed me another $300+.

I had already spent almost $1500 by now and still the issues are not resolved.

4. I visited again Mr.Tire again and now the top technician could not identify the problem. I had to explain to the technician, and he checked and said that Pump is giving way.

It took Mr.Tire 3 months with multiple visits to identify the problem. I am still seeing the noise while steering and oil leak has not gone.

I am totally disappointed with the level of service received and it costed me a top $$$ all the time.

Much appreciated. If I can get compensation with all the troubles that I encountered all these months

I am expecting prompt response from the higher management.

I will have to take next appropriate steps if no response and compensation is given.

Thanks,

Mr. Tire Incompetence / lying about goods and services

Throughout my recent experience with Mr. Tire #693 in Chambersburg PA. I was lied to multiple times either because of flat out incompetence, bad ethics, or both. I have had a horrible time dealing with this branch and thought maybe it was just that one store but now having called corporate I am starting to think it might be the whole company is unethical. At this point I just want my $947.92. $823.96 for the price of the tires and $123.96 for the labor that should never have been done to my car but I doubt I will ever see it.

I called Mr. Tire #693 in Chambersburg PA on 11/07/2023 to get my alignment checked because my right front tire was wearing out faster than the other and my car inspection taken care of. After setting up my appointment I asked the associate on the phone if there was anything different about these tires because it's an EV. They responded "No, they just take tires like any other car."

11/09/2023 - I took my car to the Mr. Tire for the service appointment and, they told me that they couldn't pass me for inspection because my tires were too worn down and that they would have to install new tires to align my car anyhow so I ought as well replace all four. I said ok and he showed my some tires and prices on his computer screen and said which ones he recommended. I chose one of those and he said, "That is a good tire. We put those on Teslas a lot and people really like them." Nobody told me about EV rated tires, sound dampening, or that these tires had none of that. They just replaced the tires.

It didn't take me long to find out that when I got on the highway and going fast that my car was obnoxious sounding. It sounded like a cross between wind going through a tunnel and a waterfall. I went online and did some research and found out about EV rated tires, the fact that they have foam in and are sound dampening etc..

11/12/2023 Mr. Tire phone call - I called Mr. Tire, and talked to an associate, and told them the whole story about how their associate recommended tires for my car, failed to let me know about EV tires and now my car sounds awful when I drive it down the highway and that I needed these tires replaced with EV tires. He said that he would need to talk to his manager and put me on a long hold.

When he got back to me he said the manager would swap my tires out for EV tires but I would have to pay for the cost difference of the tires, wouldn't get refunded for the labor, and would have to pay for the labor for the new tire job. I said I was ok paying the difference in the tires but should be refunded the labor for the first job because I should have been told about not getting EV tires and what that entailed to begin with. The associate said "We can't refund you for the labor those tires work perfectly fine they just make a little road noise." I said "Let me take you for a ride down 81S. There is nobody that would be fine with that." He said that he would have to talk to his manager again and that he would call me back.

I finally get a call a few hours later. It was the same guy I talked to earlier. He said that he talked to his manager and was willing to replace the tires for the difference in the price of the tires and forfeit the labor costs. He then said "The bad news is the only EV rated tire in our system in your size is the Michelin Primacy MXM. It is the tire that comes on the car from Tesla. It costs $465 a tire." I asked him how many miles they were rated for because that is an awful lot for a tire and you guys just replaced my tires and it was the exact same tire saying that they were in bad shape and I only had 35k miles on them. He said, "They are rated for 20k miles. They don't wear well because of the added weight of the EV cars and because they were designed to provide a quiet ride and not for durability." This sounded really suspicious to me and ended up being a bold faced lie. I told him that I needed some time to do a little research and would get back to them.

After looking online I found all kinds of brands selling EV rated tires and all way less than $465 a tire and they all seemed to be rated around 50k miles. In fact the Michelin website brought the same tire up that came equipped on my car, the tire was rated for 50k miles not 20k miles and linked me right to tirerack.com who sold the tire for $305 a tire.

After looking at a few of the EV tires I picked one that I liked but was willing to go with that Michelin at a bit higher price if Mr.Tire would have worked with me on the price since they were charging $160 over what I could get the same tire for on tirerack.com.

11/13/2023 Calling Mr. Tire again - I talked to a guy who claimed to be the manager. He started the conversation off letting me know that they had my order in and the tires were coming. I said "Hold on. I told the guy I talked to yesterday that I didn't know what I was going to do yet and that I was going to call back and let you guys know." He then says, "Oops that's right there is no order for you right now I'm sorry for the confusion."

I then let him know what happened with the previous phone call and that that guy said the only EV rated tire they had was the one that came with my car, cost $465 a tire, and was only rated for 20k miles. I asked him if that was correct because I found that tire exact tire on the Michelin website that says the tire is rated at 50k miles, and that site links to two online retailers that also say the tire is rated for 50k miles and both those retailers sell the tire for $305 a tire.

He said flatly about the mileage,"The tires are rated for 50k miles." as if that resolved the entire issue about the other guy lying to me about the mileage of that tire. He then said that the tires are $465 a tire and that he was trying to do me a favor by not charging me for the labor on the job. I seriously had to break down the math for him. I said, "If you are charging me $160 more a tire than tirerack.com for the same tire that is a total of $640 for four tires. Tirerack.com also says the installation costs around $100. If you remove the cost of the installation at $100 since you are trying to do me this big favor you are still charging me $540 more than if I bought the tires on tirerack.com and paid to have you install them. Why would I do that?"

He then kept on waffling on about trying to do me a favor by refunding my tires and removing the labor cost if I would buy their tire at $465 and telling me that I would have to pay for the labor if I bought my tires from outside of Mr Tire. I asked him directly "Will you refund my tires if I buy them from tirerack.com?" He tries to dodge my question saying "We can't just refund you the money if we don't have the tires." I said "I understand that much I'm not stupid. I want to make sure when I order these tires nobody pulls any shennanigans and tries to tell me that I would only be refunded if I bought your tires." He finally says "Yes. As long as you return the tires within thirty days we will refund the tires." I hang up and ordered my replacement tires.

11/14/2023 Installation appointment phone call - I called to make my appointment after getting an e-mail from tirerack.com that the tires were delivered. The guy on the phone sets me up for 11/16/2023 the next Thursday.

11/16/2023 - I dropped my car off for my appointment at 11:00am. They got my mileage and tell me it is going to be about three hours or so. I let my car there, left with my ride and came back later around 2:40pm to see what was going on and they hadn't even begun the work! I walked in to talk to the guy and asked him what was going on with my car. He just said "Sorry it should be the next one up." We will call you when it is done. 4:00pm rolled around and nobody called me me still so I called them and the guy on the phone said "I just tried to call you and couldn't get you but your tires are done."

When I get there to get my car and get all this settled I ended up dealing with a guy who told me he was the manager and another guy behind the counter. The guy behind the counter told me it would be $107 dollars for the labor today. I said "I'm getting refunded for the previous tires and that is way more than $107 why would I be paying you anything?" The other guy introduced himself as the manager and that he would be handling my refund. He then said "I was getting refunded $823.96, for the price of the tires and that was all I was getting refunded and that I had to pay the labor for those tires." I flat out told him that I didn't think that was right because I would have never gotten those tires if it wasn't them recommended that I get those tires for my car in the first place and those tires weren't rated for EV use. He said that he couldn't see why he should refund me for the labor because those tires were fine for that car they just produce a little road noise. I then told him that I wanted to file a complaint. He then points to a little sticker on the door with a corporate phone number on it and tells me to call corporate about it. I asked him for his full name. He would only give me his first name. I then asked him for his title here he told me he was the manager.

The guy behind the desk asks me again for $107 for the labor. I start getting the sinking feeling that I am not getting any of my money back. I said "If I am getting refunded eight hundred something why wouldn't you just take it out of that?" The guy replied, "Because it has to be done in two transactions." not mentioning that I wasn't actually getting the refund that day. I paid him the $107 and then they print me out a little sheet that looks like a screenshot of of the webform they filled out that says Refund Request Form at the top. I said "Hey! This isn't a recipt for a refund. You told me I was getting a refund!" The manager said, "We filled the form out for you to get a refund." I asked him "When am I going to get my money?" he responded "It usually takes about a week." I asked, "Who am I supposed to call when I don't get anything?" He said "You can call corporate." I said that I wanted to file a complaint about my whole experience and how I was treated in all this. He said "You can call corporate for that too."

11/27/2023 Call to Corporate Headquarters - I called corporate headquarters to complain about my refund, not getting reimbursed for the labor, and about how I was lied to multiple times and treated. I get a representative on the phone and she listens to me for about 1 min then hangs up on me. I call back and get another representative. I said I wanted to talk to a manager and that I was just hung up on. She told me that was her and that she didn't hang up on me and that they just received the request for the refund.

I tried to start to explain about how they recommended me tires that weren't rated for EVs. She cut me off and said that really I shouldn't be getting back anything because it says in a Mr. Tire contract that all sales are final. I told her that it was your people that recommended that I get those tires in the first place. She said "First off I'm not a you people and I will not be talked to like that!" I stopped her right there and said "You know full well I am referring to your people as Mr. Tire and their associates and they did recommend those tires to me and nobody told me anything about EV rated tires, sound dampening foam or anything else." She then responds with "I am done here you are not talking to me like that. You signed a contract that says all sales were final. You can read it on the back of your receipts from Mr. Tire." I then request to speak with her manager. She refused me saying that her manager was not available to talk to me, told me to have a fantastic day and then hung up."

I then look on the back of all my Mr. Tire receipts and will be damned if I see anything written anywhere that equates to an "all sales are final" clause. I did then however notice a 30-Day Price Guarantee that states if I buy a tire there and find a lower price somewhere else that Mr. Tire would refund me the difference in the cost.

This is infuriating as it just adds another layer to the deception and all the lies. According to that contract if I would have merely took the manager up on the offer to replace my tires at $465 and then sited that I found the tires cheaper at another retailer tirerack.com in this case they would have had to pay me the difference of $160 a tire. The manager purposely withheld that information from me knowing full well that I indeed did find a retailer that was selling that exact tire for $160 a tire.

Claimed loss: $947.92 Total$823.96 Cost of the non EV rated tires.$123.96 Labor cost for installing those tires.

Desired outcome: Full refund of $947.92.

I purchased 4 tires from your north canton ohio store on11/8 2023 the tire quality was great no problems. Service was good however upon inspection of rims several chips were noticed on all rims. Very bad looking and I wish to have this problem rectified. Was told that corporate would handle this problem. I did not purchase the tires from corporate. I polish...

Mr. Tire Oil Change

On or about 10/25/2023 I used mr. tire at 720 main st.reisterstown, MD 21136.

I went to get a simple oil change, when i picked my vehicle up it wouldn't run transmission light came on car barely moved, I took it back to the shop for a mechanic to look at the following dayI was told they used the wrong oil (viscosity). I spoke to 2 mechanics that were friends, they said that wasn't possible. I i believe they put transmission fluid in not oil. as of this writing i noticed there was a huge odor of transmission fluid or oil, I also noticed that my driveway has stains that weren't there. I will dispute the charge when i get the bill. Meanwhile i hope there's no further damage to my vehicle because they couldn't do a simple oil change.. The mechanics aren't trained i aked one of the guys he stated there's not much training provided.

Thank You,

Nat Luckman

Claimed loss: SO FAR I LOST THE USE OF THE CAR FOE A DAY, AND HAD TO USE A UBER TO GET TO WORK. I WOULD LIKE A REFUND FOR THE OIL CHANGE ABOUT $120.00

Mr. Tire Unprofessional/Dirty

I was at Mr. Tire just this morning in Leonardtown Maryland. I had to get my alignment fixed. For starters, as soon as I walk in, the front desk guy is sleeping. Then I go to sit in the waiting room filled with nats and food crumbs. Then to top off my experience I get back into my car once the work is finished and it smells like weed and I don't smoke weed or smoke AT ALL IN MY CAR. As I'm driving my car it doesn't even feel like work was even done to it. Honestly I'm disappointed and won't be coming back.

Mr. Tire New set of tires

On Sept 7 2023, I went to Mr Tire in Waynesville NC to have a new set of tires put on. I had a 10:00 appointment and they finally took my car back at 11:15. At 1:30 , they brought my car to me and said it was ready so I went to the counter to pay… it was 700.39. As I was beginning to pay, the manager told the mechanic that he forgot to do the align and balance so the mechanic took it again and 30 minutes later said it was ready. I paid the bill and left. I pull out onto the road and drive approximately 1/16 of a mile and the car started shaking and making an awful noise, then the left back tire comes off and goes past me into traffic. I get out of my car and immediately called the manager and told her what happened. She came to the scene and told me she was going to go back and call a wrecker to bring the car and tire back to the store. Some witnesses brought my tire back and found 3 of the 5 lugnuts. The manager retrieved 2 more lugnuts and had the car inspected by one of the mechanics again and they said the heat shield for the rotor was bent but they bent it back. I told them I was taking my car to the Subaru dealership to have them check it out thoroughly and that I was not going to take their work for it. They did file an incident report with the company and their insurance carrier contacted me with a claim number . I am awaiting the answer from their insurance company . Subaru kept my car for a couple of days and. I had to get a rental. My husband and I have gotten several sets of tires from them in the past but i will not ever go there again. I left to go hime at about 5 o’clock.

Desired outcome: I feel like the price of my visit to Mr Tire should be reimbursed to me. It was a very bad experience.

My name is Terry Singletary. I drive a 2005 Dodge Durango. I took my vehicle to Mr. Tire 3 separate times. Each time, the work was not done properly. It became more expensive each time. As a result, my vehicle is still not in proper working order. Even though I bought four new tires last year, 2022, my tires continue to go flat. I am still experiencing the...
