Motel 6 in Gatlinburg Tn is now charging a hundred dollar deposit above the cost of the room. "In case of damage to room" We have been doing business with Motel 6 for years and this is the first I have heared of this and I am pissed. Until now we thought is was a nice place to stay but with this new rule We will not do business with Motel 6 ever again! I wonder how many customers they have to loose before they go under!

I am homeless and i receive ssi I stayed at this hotel last night I requested a smoking room and was given a double room and apparently none smoking because it was what was available. The next day I find that the management charged my debit card $165.00 all the money that I had remaining. When I called to ask about the over charge the management said that first that the room rate was 59 dollars which it was supposed to be 45 then he said I posted a 100 dollar smokingdamage deposit which I was not informed about nor had I gave any authorisation to deduct any amount of money besides the 45 dollar room rate. Management was deceitful and underhanded and abrasive as well as aggressive and slanderous as he made it absolutely clear that I had been ripped off quite intentionally and that I would not be refunded any of the unauthorized overcharges. I plan to seek a legal counsel and discuss this incident with the social security office. I strongly suggest not patronizing this motel or any motel 6 if this type of behavior is at all tolerated by the motel 6 chain. They can turn their light off because I will not stay at any of their motels and i will most definitely discourage as many people as possible from patronizing any motel 6 especially in Sullivan Missouri.

I wouldn't give this place even a one star, if I had a choice! They are rude and extremely inhospitable! With a quick overnight stay in their parking lot, my nephew paid his money to park and they forgot to give him back his driver's license upon exiting. After he got back on the road that morning about 300 miles away, he realized his license was still in the possession of the motel. He called and asked them if they could forward it to his home address as quickly as possible, since it hindered his livelihood. They responded with a short answer, saying that the manager was not present and that she would contact him back after 4pm that day. Then, I called and politely asked them to send it overnight and I'd pay for the extra expense. The desk clerk continued to add that the manager had to be there, so I waited. No call; we called again later that same evening, and we were told that the manager wasn't there. We called all weekend, the manager wouldn't be in til Monday. We called first thing Monday morning and they said we had to send them a self-addressed stamped envelope! REALLY? So, unfortunately we had to call the Evansville Police Dept. who called them to say, that it's a federal offense to keep someones Drivers License for whatever reason. They finally agreed to send it in the mail to the address on the DL at that point, which is in Florida. The unfortunate thing, is that he just moved to Wisconsin! I highly recommend that you stay as far away from this motel as possible! They need some customer service etiquette!

Front Desk Lady Employee from Motel 6 in North Ft. Myers (3350 Marinatown ln) only taking advantage of the situation on March 15th, 2019. I made advance reservations thru Expedia for Motel 6 at a rate of $96 for a King room. Expedia forgot to submit my confirmation to Motel 6 and I arrived at 6 pm day of reservation and Motel 6 told me they had no confirmation for me thru Expedia. Lady Employee told me to call Expedia. I asked if she could sell me a King room and she told me "no, you don't have a reservation". Spoke to Expedia and Expedia then called Motel 6. I was listening to Lady Employee conversation with Expedia and she told Expedia that she will sell them a room for $168, but she would not sell the room to me. She was profiting $72 for Motel 6, sounds dirty to me. So Expedia agreed and Lady Employee of Motel 6 told me it will not be a King Room Non-smoking, rather it's going to be a Double Bed Smoking room. Wow, with this employee of Motel 6 it only got worse. I told lady Employee of Motel 6 "no" after spending 2 hours in her lobby and that I was going to contact her Corporate Office. We stayed at the Motel 6 6848 e Camelback Rd, Scpttsdale Az on 03/03/19. the room was dirty and the linen was a dirty white, We could not regulate the air conditioner and the price was jacked up to 134.30 because of spring training. what a farce. they had very little customers. then on 03/04/19 we stayed at Motel 6 apache Junction Az. the motiondector kept coming on all night and when I went out to the front desk the sign said "be back in 15 minutes." How stupid to think I would wait out in the entry way in my pjs for 15 minutes. When I went to the desk the next morning the rude punk blamed us and the previous customer for the motion detector problem. Also, there was no coffee, shampoo, lotion or any other complimentry products available. We paid 126.23 because of the spring training. the beds were horrible and the sheets again need a little bleach to make them white. We learned our lesson. No more Motel 6 for us so you can leave the light on for the other suckers. We spent the rest of our vacation at a Motel 8 for half the money, a good breakfast, clean rooms, great beds, clean linen and a great front desk crew.

Hotel 6 medford employee makes false claims about neglect of her daughter childrens services removed my child from hotel room. Employee of hotel 6. Tenant of hotel 6. Is there no loyalty between patrons all details wil be provided by lawyer after speaking with hotel manager 03072019 at approximatly500pm I was informed they had no employee by that name or employee through temp service by that mame

On 02 March 2019, I went in to see if Motel 6 had rooms available for the night. I was traveling on Military orders. I presented my Louisiana State exempt tax form to the front desk clerk.in a rude tone, with attitude, she refused to accept the legal state exempt form, stating that she was not familiar with that kind of form and that she didn't know anything about tax exempt laws. I tried to explain to her in a professional way, that the military, on official orders/travels are exempt from taxes. Her reply was that she (Motel 6) didn't give discounts to the Air Force and that management wouldn't either. I told her that I wasn't asking for military discount, that I was only trying to get the authorized taxed exempt charges. Being on the road all day, tired, I overcame the smell of the motel and decided to just spend $200 a night plus taxes and stay there. Next time I will just sleep in my car and not ever stay at a motel 6. Location: Rasberry Ln & I 20 Shreveport, LA. PS…. Same front desk clerk was still working the next morning, dressed like if she just woke; her appearance looked very unprofessional. Shower cap on!
Wondering why Motel 6 has an average of a "One Star" rating.

My husband and I stayed in the fort pierce location from february 17th to the 19th. First room we had drug dealers next door in and out all night long... Our room smelled like an ashtray and drug dealers kept us up all night with their comings and goings... So they moved us... No one ever cleaned our room when we left for the day. Then when we returned to use the bathroom it over flowed all over and they had to install a new toilet, which made us late for an event we were in town for. Never offered to pay for one of the terrible nights we spent there. Bad business... Thom boddett would be very disappointed. I know I was. Do us all a favor... Turn the light off and clean house!

I called earlier. I asked if they had an iron in the room, she said no, but there is one in the office. My friend went to get the iron, she was rude said it was stolen last week. Then we went down for ice, the ice machine is broken. The room is filthy stuff on floor, bathroom door does not shut. She was rude. If we could get our money back, we would go across the street. I have never been treated like this from a motel 6. I will never stay in your motel again.
I travel for business all the time, I won't be staying with you. At check in she was nice, guess because she was taking money? She has a whole different attitude than then. Or are we the wrong color? That is the way I feel. I feel like I should put my stuff in my car while I am gone. I do not feel my stuff is safe here. I don't trust your employee

Both nights my family stayed at motel 6 we have received horrible customer service. At check in both days I asked for a non smoking room. Once I go to the room it wasn't clean no sheets on the bed. I went to the front desk to make a complaint about it only for them to give me a key and say go check out the other ion to see if it's clean or not. Then was accused of smoking marijuana in the room after I came back with food. Never received an apology just a laugh. I then told her to come in our room and she walked in and left. I made another complaint about this situation twice. I made an complaint to one manager she apologized but never looked into the situation. I see another manager and he worked for the night he told me to file a report on here and he would speak to the general manager. I'm appalled at this time because we are already traveling during a stressful time. We are here visiting our sick grandmother and unsure if she will make it so to deal with this kind of service is beyond alarming.

I'm a Guest here at Motel 6 Ocala. I checked in on Monday, February 18, 2019 and have the room until tomorrow which is Saturday, February 23, 2019.On Wednesday which was the 20th, I made a complaint to the front Office because my Wife was bite up on her back, arms and legs from Bedbugs.The maintenance guy came to room 139 and confirmed it was indeed Bedbugs on the mattress. He did apologize and went to change my room to 145.So, from my experience with the horrible bites and marks it left on my Wife in 139 I proceeded to check the beds in rm 145 and to my surprise it was a needle stuck in the bed mattress where someone had been doing drugs. Yet again that time I complained to the Housekeeper and she came and retrieved the needle from under the bed BUT were still gonna let me stay in that room after it was unsanitary.I complained about the air not working and was told to wait a few hrs to see whether it starts to work. I went to the Office again and ask if I could Change my room and I was given rm 143.I'm currently in that room and the toilet is having trouble flushing. You have to flush it 2 to 3 times before everything clears out of it. I'm very, very disappointed in my stay with Motel 6.

The room was dirty. Had cigarette ashes on the floor beside the bed. Wash cloth was dirty in the bathroom on the sink. Covers on the blankets had cigarette wholes in them when I specifically asked for a non smoking room. Pillows were flat no bed elevation. I would like my full refund back the only good thing was the customer service from the lady at the front desk. I could not sleep stayed up all night. Smelled like cigarettes when I walked in the room, had to buy spray from the store.
