Motel 6 unclean, roach infested, overpriced and unsafe

I was unlucky to have arrived in Charlotte, NC during an NBA event and found Motel 6 was available. I thought there were laws that insured minimum cleanness, roach free, safe rooms for rental, so I booked.

However what I got was [censored] covered toilet (arter maid cleaned), 50 year old worn out beds with cigarette burns, blood in the freezer, roaches and much more.

You may think this is just the unit I got but I inspected 5 units and this was the BEST of the lot.

They advertise "free WiFi" but it breaks every 2-10 minutes, 3mb service at best.

After talking to customer relations, I discovered that my experience is by design and not an accident. Motel 6 ownership clearly (as expressed) are NOT concerned with your safety, comfort, or providing the services you contracted for.

I never thought it possible that a motel could be so cheap. When asked if I could have a ice bucket I was given a thin plastic bag, they obviously never tried to fill

this the ice machine has a button you must push to dispense ice. Have you ever tried to hold a thin plastic bag open while pushing a button?

It's impossible I asked the management for an ice bucket and they said they don't have them! So the only solution was the holder plastic bag open with both hands under the dispense spout while kneeling on the floor and pushing the button with your forehead! This is how cheap motel 6 is motel 6 is the cheapest hindu-owned business in Wichita Kansas!

Motel 6 slandering by gm san angelo tx

Me and my wife both work for your establishment in san angelo tx and we r having trouble with g she is making false accusations and fired my wife for smithing that is obviously not try and will no even let her prove that's it not true and me have been being accused of not returning master key after shift and I told her that if she received crama that she would see me terming in card and she just bypass that option witch tells me that she knows I terned in card I have been working my tell off since I started and I love my job and I really don't want to lose it specifically fired for smithing false plz help I am a long term worker who is dedicated worker and will benefit to your motel every day plz help joshua anderson

Motel 6 bad bed, too much noise

I have been at the watsonville motel 6 for 3 weeks, checked out and now want to check back in, made a reservation but the rates went up to very unfair price for low quality room, a few nights its been very noisy, people having partys or some who just cant respect other guest making loud voices out side of rooms I first paid just under or about $400 now its $ 479 and when I called the watsonville location they wanted over $500 for a week stay, so I checked in online, the room Ive been in has a old worn out bed with very bad sagg in the middle or on side (right hand side if you are laying down) and its giving me back pain, in the past I have spent a great deal of money with motel 6 and I honest feel I should get a better rate I stayed in motel 6 in san dimas calif for almost a year and I have also stayed in watsonvile location for a few moths, been in a t least 6 different rooms, I will say the staff there are very friendly and kind at watsonville, but Like I'm trying to say I deserve a better rate Thank you please contact me [protected]

Motel 6 motel room / facility

Black mold in the room. Bullet hole in the mirror. Room smelled like celery. Drug addicts wondering around smoking marihuana and i imagine the one lady we saw in the moring after checking in was "shooting up" she had run outside in her bra and panties with a rubberband tied around her arm. I don't know where to stop but i will. So much bad to express. ***** but the front desk people were really nice****

Motel 6 no heat 16 degree weather

I checked in at the Motel 6 at 11:00pm. Got in room at 11:10 and turned on the heat. At 11:30 the room was still cold. Keep in mind I did contact the Front Desk clerk at 11:20 (Uncaring, No Help). At 12:00 my room is Still Freezing Cold, Heater blowing out Cold Air. I kept checking the settings to ensure I had the heat on properly. Finally at 12:05 I contacted the front desk clerk at 12:08 I was Finally moved next door to a Dirty room. Warm but Dirty.

Motel 6 security

The side entrance to the hotel was not secured...you did not need your room card to get into the hotel.. which meant anyone could enter at any time day or night

We stayed 1 one night (2 rooms) 01/21/2019 we were in town for our relative who was leaving for boot camp...

When we were leaving we went out the side door to where we were parked and was very surprised that we could just go back in without using our room card.

a refund would be appreciated

Motel 6 housekeeping

I had requested the day before to have the room fully cleaned.I had been waiting all day for service so I finally went to front desk and Jasmine was rude saying housekeeping still cleaning and that they wasn't going to come.to my room unless I requested service(which I did) so was the housekeeping supervisor. She stated to Jasmine over the radio that service for should've have been requested in the morning time not the afternoon I came back into the room waited some more after that I removed everything off the bed because u had to leave i came back room was cleaned but they didn't GIVE ME FRESH SHEETS INSTEAD THE SAME SHEETS WERE PLACED BACK ON THE BED JUST NASTY IM HIGHLY PISSED NOT SANITARY AT ALL! I thought the guest are suppose to be comfortable something need's to be done a whole new staff is definitely need only three of the front desk agents are nice and one housekeeper

Motel 6 staff /customer service management

We had a group reservation to check in on 1/19/19 at the Dania Beach Florida Location and upon the buses arrival at 730pm there was not a staff member there to help or check them in... it took several phone calls and finally a staff member finally arrives and able to assist customers at approximately 9pm. Manager never showed and guest services was very unprofessional and unhelpful. So u have a bus of 20+ people and 2 drivers with no room and not sure what to do. By 11pm everyone was finally checked in and able to get rest. I need everyone checked in under the group Capital City Seahawks refunded for the one night stay. This situation was handled very unprofessionally and poorly. Not to mention not once did a manager get on the phone(when requested) or show up to make sure all guess were being taking care of.

Motel 6 heater didn’t work

Ok well I checked it at the Motel 6 in Santa Clare California first thing in the day after Christmas, and yes is was really really Cold so I know Mote 6 because I stayed at some previously not at this one before but I figured that they are all good so I checked in room seamed nice but like I said before it was not the Holels fault, so the manager wasn't there but they said check at a certain time which I didn't have time and that the manager Steven will be there OK time went by I complain they said we was in the maintenance guy to fix it they went by no maintenance guy came to fix it so I said another night I'm not sure I think they move me to another room to make a long story short when I did go back to go back three weeks later I spoke with the manager Steven somebody I don't know seem very insensitive he didn't say sorry he didn't offer me a discount for if you just day he didn't offer any money off my stay in offer me a donut or a cuppa coffee very insensitive guy if I were you stay far clear away from the Santa Clara motel and far away from this guy Stephen

Motel 6 front desk management team grants pass or

The last time I stayed at Motel 6 I had got a can of charcoal toothpaste that ended up being a real mess so I threw it away I tried to clean it up the best I could and some got on a washcloth maybe but anyways I got a room last night and the manager informed me that I was on the do not rent to list for supposedly getting blue hair dye all over the room is what she told me well it wasn't true wasn't even close so I told her what it was and she said she'd give me another chance well today when I left I had to leave early but my niece was still sleeping but I guess she had left her glasses in the room that she finally just got and she called the office a bunch a times trying to get her glasses but the lady said that only I could pick them up with my ID and that I am on the do not rent list again because my niece called her too many times Now the purpose of my complaint is that I fully appeal the decision to put me on the donot rent list again because I didn't do anything wrong my niece panicking about her glasses is not a reason to 86 me from the property I have always been a good customer of Motel 6 and I spend a lot of money with you guys every year and I tip the attendants very well and I clean the rooms very good myself before I leave I have never ever had a problem ever before with Motel 6 now that this lady is the manager she wants to power trip me or something and cause all kinds of unnecessary problems I really hope this complaint is taken serious because it is not fair what your employee is doing to loyal good customers It Is Not Fair period

Motel 6 the rooms and the staff

I checked in on 1 1 2019 and paid 588 dollars for room for a weekly rate went into the room and seen the floors were dirty and went to the office ask for another room and was told that there wasn't any so I asked for my money back they said they couldn't refund so I asked could they clean it they said they clean twice a week I've been here for a week now and they haven't cleaned yet ask them several times came in today still dirty I've been going every day and asking for towels because they don't at least Chang them out I think for the money they changed asking for a clean room is not asking too much the staff are rude and disrespectful something needs to be done motel fortstocton tx

Motel 6 housekeeper telling hotel staff I came to door naked

January 2 a housekeeper knocked on room door 101 after 12pm. I saw who it was from window and then opened the door. She ask me if I needed any room service. I answered only rags and towels. I gave her the dirty ones and she said she would return with clean ones. She came a second time with nly towels. The third time with rags. Later front desk told my husband the housekeeper said I was naked. However; that was a lie. She also stated the housekeeper told a few employees that I was naked and who I was. The housekeeper degraded my character by telling this lie amongst employees that I know and making it seem to my husband that I was naked. The door was open to inches. And I was standing behind the door and not naked. This lie has hurt me and my stay at Motel 6 emotionally with stress. The housekeeper needs to be terminated for such chaos behind a lie.

Motel 6 rooms

I am not pleased with motel 6 services after me and my kids ate our food layed down there was roaches in the room crawling on the bed and its like something was biting me and my baby i told the clerk she was rude she just shrugged her shoulders and told me there's nothing she can not but move me to another because i stayed here 3 hours amd i want to stay here

Motel 6 dirty unkempt room

On December 26, 2018 I stayed in room 210 at the Motel 6 in Valdosta, GA. The room was dirty and unkept. The bathroom door was coming apart and I got stuck in the bathroom after closing it. There were brown chunks of something on the bathmat outside of the shower. The showerhead was rusty and water only came out of about 3 holes. There were splatters/smears on the wall next to the bed, There were splatters on the wall next to the room door. There was much more wrong with this room and I have attached photos. For $49 a night I at least expect a room that has been properly cleaned and maintained.
These items I have pointed out are clearly a health hazard and I feel that I should be reimbursed the price that I paid for this room. I trust you will send me a speedy response addressing these items. I do have photos of everything, and more, I have described.

Motel 6 poor/ dirty room

My husband and I reserved a room at the motel 6 located at 853 Spring street in elizabeth, nj. I paid $148.27 to stay here and I am not happy! The room is dirty and raggedy and not as advertised on the website. I asked for a new room because the first one didn't have a fridge and they offered me one but it was even worse. There was no light in the bathroom, the shower bar was taped to the wall, the ceiling is falling apart and the sheets had not been changed. I know because when we pulled back the covers it was full of hair. One of the front desk employees said that he would do something about my the light in the bathroom but he never returned and i didn't hear back from him for the rest of the night. I have some photos from the room that i stayed in. I would like to be reimbursed for having to stay in these conditions and false advertisement of the room as I can not leave because the money has already been taken! I hope this issue can be resolved!

Motel 6 bed bugs

There was a bed bug crawling on me in room 236 of the Motel 6 at the north end of Ukiah, California. I was then told by staff that there had been complaints about bed bugs in that room. I quickly left the motel with a refund. If I now am taking bed bugs home with me, I will hold Motel 6 responsible for losses I accrue due to this problem. Bed bugs are a serious issue and are difficult to eradicate. I am appalled that Motel 6 wasn't more responsible or responsive.

Motel 6 unprofessional

Staying at Motel 6 in East Brunswick NJ, management is horrible, booked my room on Dece 4. 2018 today I as at the lobby paying for my room and the manager decided to tell me I cant book a room today becuase I didnt allow cleaning people to enter the room the day before. The room didnt need cleaning all I needed was towels. But last time I checked you can deny full services. So she decides to tell me at 9:31 an when Im about to pay and head out to work. Sp I had to stand outside with 2 kids and wait for my ride. The workers are so nice the the head lady attitude is a horrible poor reflection of the company.
I called corporate office and they say the policy is they dont have to give you a reason as to why u cant book for another night, I smell discrimination . I payed a total of 1400.00 I will be contacting my attorney today.

Motel 6 motel 6 arlington uta

stayed several times at this location while my home is being remodeled stayed on 12/16 to 12/17 booked through booking. com my girlfriend & I both stayed in room 230 where we were bitten & found bed bugs I have pics to prove it we notified the hotel where they refused to admit it told me they don't have them after I showed her pics of them told me they would inspect room later & refused to do anything else I requested my money back for the 2 nights we stayed there since now I have 2 clean all of our things b4 returning home & since we went home duiring our stay we will have 2 clean everything in our house so that we are not sleeping with them at our house also I feel I should not have 2 pay 4 a room that has caused me to take time off work clean everything we own have an exterminator treat our home & we don't even know what the effect is on being bitten by them my girlfriend wants to see a doctor for returning my money is the least you could do I have not left any reviews on this matter yet but I will through booking.com your web site & others we use you can contact me at [protected] my name is Michael Jordan thank u 4 nothing but problems

Yup those are bed bugs. Terrible. No exterminator can eliminate bedbugs with any type of chemical. The only thing that can kill bedbugs is heat. Wash all of your clothes and extra hot water and leave them in the dryer extra long. Whatever you can’t wash suitcases etc. place in garbage bags and put out in the sun to kill. We live in Florida had that same experience when we were in New Hampshire and I never got them in my house thank god because I took extreme measures

Motel 6 someone walked into my room in the middle of the night

For starters i enjoy staying with motel 6 because there is no pet fee that can be difficult for me to pay sometimes. My puppy and i are very much homeless at the moment. So no pet fee is very helpful. I checked into my room 12/16/2018 tomorrow is my check out date. Unfortunately im almost postive i will have to pay to stay because as i said before i am vwry much homeless right now. After checking into my room and finally getting comfortable enough to doze off. I heard someone at my room door. Still half asleep i think maybe im dreaming until i hear the door close. Thats when i realize Wow someone just came into my room at around 3.45 4am. I jumped up to look out the door there were about 4 teenagers they said the guy at the desk had given them the key to my room. I of course had to get dressed to walk to the front desk where i was informed he had given them a master key because the key he initially gave them wouldn't open my door. He claims that the information in the computer was saying my room was vacant this is why he had given them a master key card after the card he had given them did not work. It's just a very unsettling feeling although he said it was because of the computer gliche. Im a woman in a room alone. I've just never heard or experienced anything like this before. Im not even sure how to approach this situation

Motel 6 amount of children allowed

I have 6 children under the age of 16. Most motel6's have been understanding and have rented is a room anyways but the one in Childress Texas tonight would not. We were turned away with 6 kids and are now sleeping in the vehicle because motel 6 policy's are apparently anti large family's. I would rather sleep on the floor and sleep 3 girls to one bed and 3 boys to the other then sleeping them out here in 30 degree weather in the middle of winter but I can't afford anything more then a motel 6. Y'alls prices are just right for a family trying to stay off assistance but the 4 kid policy just sucks. So we have no beds or bathrooms and no heaters for tonight. 😕

They have rules regarding maximum occupancy. It is for your safety and for the safety and of your children, as well as for the peace and comfort of other guests. While I am sure your children are angels, what about the next person who brings in 6 kids, all of whom are up running around (which, by the way, can be heard in the room below you most of the time) or running in and out of the room for ice, snacks etc. doors slamming, tv up loud. You cannot blame them for you sleeping in a car. That's not their fault.
