MindValley Scam?! 15 day refund offer not honored

Despite trying out the Mind Valley membership for $399 and canceling it within 10 days as I did not find it useful for my purpose, I've been sent on a merry go round trying to chase the refund which now the "manager has refused to approve" on no ground! Nothing but another click bait scam with flashy website and false promises.

This is what they replied with :

MindValley Evercoach, coaching session planner

Hi,

I purchased the above product from Mindvalley on January 10th 2023.

On the same day I also received an email from Mindvalley saying ‘Your account has now been updated with the latest program you have signed up for.’

The email instructions were; Login to your account using your email: [protected]@btinternet.com. Below is a ‘log in here’ button. Which I duly clicked upon.

The landing page gives no instructions on how to obtain the product I purchased. Instead, the landing page is full of adverts enticing one to spend more money.

Unsatisfied, as there was no explanation whatsoever on how to obtain the purchased goods, I decided to contact customer support.

Unfortunately customer support requires me to hold a Mindvalley membership before I can effectively communicate. This is effectively telling me that I have to pay a subscription before I can resolve my issue.

Since then I have tried countless times to obtain the product I purchased in good faith from this company. Every avenue I’ve tried takes me back to a page asking me to spend more money.

I spent hours exploring different ways to get support from Mindvalley without subscribing to a membership program, but have never found a way of doing this successfully.

I subsequently received an email from Mindvalley (under the Evercoach banner) asking for feedback on the program that I have yet to receive. The email was sent on Tuesday 17th January.

My response to the customer feedback questionnaire was pretty scathing. It expressed my frustration at the difficulty of obtaining the product and trying to get some meaningful dialogue going.

Sine then I heard nothing. No response or acknowledgment of the problem.

Desired outcome: Get the product easily, with a decent money back guarantee. Plus an easy to reach customer support team. An apology, and a goodwill gesture.

MindValley i sign up for the Silva Method,

its been so complicated and not able to do it... can you cancel my subscription and refund my money... I will sing up latter since i am sick at the moment and not able to do the program and there is no assistance, the web is too complicated for me and it been 3 days and not able to do even one lesson.. MindValley Mindvalley course refund

Hello . I’m writing on behalf of my mother who is suffering with dementia. I am in charge of her finances. She bought the course and never really used it and doesn’t remember signing up for automatic renewal. The bank was charged and this will overdraft my mother’s account. I am requesting a refund and cancellation of the course . My mom is physically sick with worry right now . Please honor my request. Thank you .

MindValley unauthorised credit card charge

I signed up for MindValley two years running. Following the first year, I was reminded by email that renewal was due and I was able to easily contact someone to discuss the payment -

this year, the renew occurred automatically -

Please help.

I was expecting a renewal email and I am simply aghast at having been charged without my knowing.

I have had a difficult time navigating the site- following the advice for refund simply kept me looping back on myself - and

I have not received a response form the IM option.

To whom do I speak please regarding my financial circumstances and inability to afford another year -

MindValley Taken more money than authorised for in checkout, yet said that the payment was declined and I have no access to anything.

This company is the biggest scam and disappointment I've ever come across in my life.

On the 2nd of December, I watched a masterclass that was very promising. Under the masterclass, they were advertising a deal; yearly all access membership for $199. I went ahead and ordered it. I've put in all my details and when proceeded with checkout, I've been faced with an error message saying that "my card was declined, try again". I knew I had enough money on my account so I made 3 more attempts at paying. The error message kept popping up so I decided to look at my bank account, see if there's a hold up there..

Luckily, I was using my account that I keep separately for online purchases. I had a total of $225.67 prior to my attempt to purchase the membership. I was shocked to see that Mindvalley took off ALL of the $225.67! I'm guessing it's just sheer luck that I had so little money in that account, because they brought my balance down to exactly 0.00. When they were only authorised to take $199! Had I had thousands in there, would you have taken it all?!?!

And after all this, I still don't have access to a single course, an account, an invoice.. NOTHING! I emailed, whatsapped and iMessaged them immediately. I've got an automated reply on each 3 platforms saying that they will get back to me within 24 hrs. This was 3 days ago, still no one has gotten back to me. Insanely disappointed.

Looking at the reviews here and on trust pilot, this company is a massive scam and they are stealing people's money shamelessly. It's wild that such horrible people can hide behind such and uplifting agenda as it is in Mindvalley's advertisement. Avoid at all cost.

Desired outcome: Refund the excess amount on $199 and WORKING, FULL ACCESS to the courses!! If not possible, full refund.

MindValley Mindvalley membership refund policy not honored

I paid $399 for a year of Mindvalley membership on 11/14/2022. They offered an automatic refund within 15 days if I wanted to cancel, “just by clicking a button”.

On 11/28/2022, I decided to cancel my membership, and I received a confirmation email. Their billing page says “Status: Cancelled”, but instead of giving me a refund, it just says “Access to the Subscription Until: 14 Nov 2023.”

I contacted the company via iMessage on 11/30/2022. I went through their menu and asked to speak to a human. I got a response that my request had been received and their team would be in touch with me within 24 hours. I sent 3 messages over the next 3 days.

As of 12/4/2022, I still have not received a refund nor have I had any contact from their customer service.

Desired outcome: Refund of $399.

I finally was contacted by MindValley support on 12/8/2022 -- 10 days after I cancelled my membership, and 8 days after I first contacted them to ask about getting my refund. I did receive a full refund. They apologized for the delay and said they had received an unusually large number of messages. I am glad to have my money back. I was really thinking I had been scammed. It sounds like they need to hire more customer support reps -- especially if their refund is not really "automatic".

MindValley I purchased an online course from Mindvalley called "Beyond Seeking" by Ken Wilber and I no longer have access to it.

I purchased an online course from Mindvalley called "Beyond Seeking" by Ken Wilber and I should have had lifetime access, but I no longer have access to it. Other courses including one that I paid for also disappeared, but after some investigation, they found the one I paid for and gave me access.

The company claim that they do not have a course of that name. They asked me to confirm how I paid for it. I explained that I purchased it in 2015 so I don't remember how I paid for it seven years ago, but if they could confirm an email address, I could send them the emails I have from Mindvalley proving it. They never responded.

Please see the attached evidence, I have more if you require it. Only you have the power to help me so would it be possible to help me, please?

MindValley Mindvalley Membership $399 and Membership Pro $199

I purchased the programs after watching an intriguing advertisement about the content being offered. When I processed the purchase through the offer link, I was informed that there was a 15 day refund policy, which I could initiate with a simple "one click".

I immediately obtained my credentials and started going through the program, signed up for an orientation session (as I recall, no availability for few days) and familiarized myself with the material and learning format.

Over a period of ~12 hours, I spent ~5 hours reviewing different sections, watching videos and reading the material pertinent to each step reviewed. It was at that point that I realized the content and structure were not completely congruent with my way of operating and it was not going to be something I could see myself enduring for any period of time.

As a result of those findings, I followed the cancellation process, according to their instructions and received the cancellation email shortly thereafter, so I never gave it much more thought.

When I checked my credit card statement a week or so later, I noticed that the credits for $199 and $399 charges had not been refunded. At that time I started the chat to speak with someone about the refund. I went through both options on trying to get a solution for the refund, 1) directly in the chat and 2) the option to have a human give me a call back within 24 hours. Neither resulted in a resolution and I never received a call back.

Since then I have spent several hours over the course of a week on the phone, getting placed on hold, being cut off repeatedly after waiting as much as 15 minutes and never getting through to speak to anyone in support or any other department in the company.

The same MindValley 15 Day Refund with one Click offers still come up regularly in ads on my computer, yet they don't appear to be honoring their promise.

Desired outcome: I'm hopeful to achieve a prompt resolution and have my money refunded back to my card and if that doesn't happen within the next week, then I will report the complaint to the consumer protection authorities in the State of OR.

MindValley 15 day refund is a click bait joke...

On May 8th I received a communication/offer from Mindvalley to test their platform, and if I was not satisfied I could ask for "Safe, instant refund, it´s one click refund" as they claim - as per communication bellow.

The courses and platform didnt match my expectations there for I cancelled the program after just ten days.

Result: I was involutanry charged for one year of program USD 236.81. and after 2 months waiting my refund today on the customer support the enhanted me saying that I need to cancel de subscription and make a further process to refund the money. The tied the refund process to the 15-days considering that I have canceled my subscription within the period.

At the end seems that Mindavalleys business is to create click bait strategy to exploit peoples money.

I considered that I canceled the test period within the 15-days therefore I want my money back... On the cancelation process as well on the buying process was never mentioned two-step cancelation/refund.

Desired outcome: I want my money back/ refunded as it should be done since the cancelation in May.

Mindvalley handled this very well. Somethimes it takes a while to get the refund. I do believe that Mindvalley cares a lot about its reputation. Love mindvalley.

MindValley Subscription payment taken without notice

My name is Sherry, and I had a membership subscription with Mindvalley, of which was not allowing me to cancel in 15 days of the charge nor to any notice was delivered of its charges. Since the pending charge appeared, the subscription has been cancelled now.

I am writing this complain in regards with a payment taken from the credit card without notification.

In March 2021, I have subscribed for Mindvalley membership, furthermore without any notification, like my subscription is due for renewal, your organisation taken from the credit card $499 the fee for membership.

I did checked my charges on Monday and saw the charge authorization on Saturday pending to the account. I did not receive notification or clearly advised and I was not aware.

This is not acceptable, I request my full refund of $499 back into my credit card as I was not satisfied with the quality and do not wish to continue being part of this program.

any annual subscription should have to inform the payer about any future payment.

I have other subscriptions and I get notifications for their renewal.

I subscribed to mindvalley 3

Months ago and decided to cancel a month later. I have been billed twice after that at $99 each month after having prof on my phone I canceled the subscription on my phone.

Desired outcome: Stop charging me $99/monthly and refund me the last $99 since I had already canceled.

MindValley Subscription payment without notification

Hi,

My name is Stella and I have a membership subscription with Mindvalley, which I have cancelled now.

I am writing this complain in regards with a payment taken from the credit card without notification.

In March 2021, I have subscribed for Mindvalley membership, furthermore without any notification, like my subscription is due for renewal, your organisation taken from the credit card $499 the fee for membership.

As I am a student and to bussie to check my credit card, but I do verify all my emails regularly, however when I did checked today 06/05/22 the statement, I have noticed a payment taken from your organisation which I was not aware of.

This is not acceptable, I do request my full refund of $499 back into my credit card as I do not wish or have the desire to continue being part of this program.

I do believe for any annual subscription you do have to inform the payer about any future payment.

I do have other subscription and I do get notify for any due renewal.

MindValley Fraudulent Advertisement about their Refund Policy

Mindvalley advertises that all subscriptions can be refunded within 15 days of new purchases. After I subscribed, I wasn't satisfied with the courses offered. So I contacted them for a refund. Now they're saying if we make purchases through Google play app, they don't take responsibility for the refund. If that's the case they should have mentioned clearly. This is misleading

It should have been clearly stated in your advertisements. And also I made payment through your app and the only option I had was to go through Google Pay. You shouldn't have allowed payment through the app if it's a third-party transaction

MindValley Automatic subscription renewal without notification

I took out an annual subscription to Mind Valley in April 2020 for $399. I've just been billed for an automatic renewal of this subscription at a far higher rate of $598 and without my authority or authorisation. There was no prior notification of this charge with the option to review the subscription or the change in charge. Every other company or product I've subscribed to has always notified me ahead of taking payment, with the option to review. Instead, Mindvalley customer support is hiding behind WhatsApp messaging with standard cut and paste responses aimed at avoiding direct answers or refunding the money. The whole process lacks transparency and seems designed to fob customers off.

Desired outcome: Full refund of all money without bogus admin charges.

MindValley Unauthorized Automatic Renewal

Received a notice from Auto-Receipt/Authorize Net for $499.00 for automatic payment to MindValley. I've checked all my emails including trash and span, and there was no notification from Mindvalley. This was for a second-year renewal of their program/product membership.

I have not interacted with any Mindvalley service for over a year, and had completely forgotten it existed. I attempted to file an immediate "Request for a Refund" numerous times, but their "prompts" on how to correct this problem puts you into an endless loop of "how-tos" that do nothing without resolving the issue. The only "how-to" prompts that work are the ones to sign up for more services or add additional credit card info.

Yesterday, after working on this issue for more than an hour, and attempting to contact Mind Valley through their numerous support portals, I gave up, contacted my bank directly, and filed a formal dispute.

Desired outcome: I would like an apology, and a full refund.

MindValley Mindvalley auto renew subscription

I bought a years subscription to Mindvalley a year ago and knew it was going to expire soon. Although I have enjoyed the courses I am not in the same financial position I was in last year and could not afford to pay for another year. So I was happy to let it expire.

I was stunned to see an email telling me that I’d been charged for another year when I hadn’t authorised this. I scoured the internet for answers and it turns out they sign you up to an auto subscription without your knowledge. When I am notified upfront I always make a habit of cancelling these.

When you receive your welcome email there is a receipt attached. In small writing it states you are signed up to an auto subscription. To be honest, I never opened the receipt as I didn’t need to. The price I had been charged was correct and I had a receipt via PayPal. If I had read the receipt I’m not sure I would have even seen the line about the auto subscription. In my welcome email it states I had bought a one year subscription so that was all I needed to know.

I struggle to believe that auto subscriptions can be allowed for that amount of money and that companies are allowed to be underhand in informing you of this. The government guidelines around auto subscriptions advise companies that they should be transparent and send email reminders that this renewal is coming up. I did not receive any reminder emails.

I contacted their customer support over a week ago and have had no response. It just sends you messages from their virtual assistant.

Their cancellation policy states that you can cancel an annual subscription within 15 days but elsewhere on their website you find out this does not apply to auto subscriptions. Again I feel that this is misleading and not readily available and they say they refuse to give refunds.

I feel I have been mislead and would like a refund. Having this money come out of my account has put me in severe financial hardship.

Desired outcome: - Full refund- Transparency in your communication/policies- reminders sent to everyone about upcoming charges.

I contacted Mindvalley via the text function as requested in their reply. I had to fill in a short form and they refunded me instantly. I’m very happy with the outcome and how nice they were. I will definitely continue to use Mindvalley in the future.
