Unfair treatment, unjustified fines, poor rating system
I have learnt how the QAD in this company mistreats writers who make genuine enquiries on quality issues. A writer is fined if they ask why QAD flagged their work without justification. A writer is fined if they ask QAD or client to attach AI report. QAD and support accommodates no debate with writers. Thye QAD is busy fining writers' outrageous amounts upto $500 without any justified cause. A QAD will raise a false AI claim on a human written text and fine a writer instantly despite ALL AI checkers showing the text in entirely original. Even after clients have submitted the work and received their grade, QAD will still find a way to fine a writer when the client has not raised any complaint. QAD will not produce AI reports and will fine any writer who asks for them. It is a thievery plan destined to frustrate writers. QAD will then use the unjustified AI claims to rate the writers' accounts negatively. Imagine a writer with 100s of positive ratings (10/10) receiving a negative (1/10) rating with no justification. Then that one negative rating is used to demote an account from 1st class level to general level for 1 full year. Clearly, this is a company with no respect for its writers who are mostly from 3rd world countries. The company only wants to frustrate and earn from the writers' meagre earnings through unilateral fines. Academia is on its deathbed and will collapse because of its unfair treatment, unjustified fines, poor rating systems.
Recommendation: Advocate for employee rights and avoid the company until it addresses its issues with the writing block
Exorbitant fines and rude staff
Academia Research platform is a scene of crime. They act like a criminal enterprise that unjustly extorting exorbitant amounts of money from writers with baseless allegations of AI usage. The unreasonable imposition of a $500 fine for a $5 order or less defies logic and decency and despite writers' efforts to contest these baseless accusations, they face threats of even larger fines, demotion or worse, account deactivation. Freelancers wishing to use this platform should reconsider since it is full of narcissists and opportunists and some of their staff are very unprofessional and rude as they disregard the rights and dignity of writers. Academia Research provides a toxic environment for writers and actively preys on their vulnerabilities. Steer away from this morally bankrupt platform if you value integrity and respect your freelance work.
Recommendation: Stay away from academia
Unfair writer treatment
Before 2022, Academia Research was among the best companies I know. Now since the inception of AI, AR has developed a habit of harassing writers and being uncouth on how they communicate. writers are unjustly treated while customers are overpriced while writers are paid peanuts.
1. Regardless of the customers' satisfaction with a 10 out of 10 rating, writers are being fined up to 500 times of the original pay (500%) due to claims of AI generated work. there are no mediums for writers to be helped since it is an online working space. How can a writer get a good rating and positive feedback from the client but be penalized heavily by support, qad, and management? does that even make sense for sure? Writers are spending sleepless days and nights to ensure the clients attain best grades. when support or qad is asked for the AI-reports, they indicate their decision is final! seriously? since we cant sue the company from where we are, we expect thorough investigation to help address the matter.
2. You don't even want to know the crazy prices customers are charged while the writers are paid 0.1 or 0.05 of the pricing. You will cry!. if tipped, a writer is only given at most $10 yet some customers leave up to $100 tips aside from the original pay.
3. You don't even want to see how qad, the likes of Liam responds to writers inquiry. At least support (majority) and management (Emma) are a bit professional. am wondering, how does one with a company where qad are ever rude and threatening the workforce.
4. Writers are always getting delayed responses from management but when it comes to making hefty fines, it is where they draw the line as it is instant. How can one survive in such an environment?
Recommendation: Fair treatment to writers and change of QAD employees like Liam and Christopher. Emma to be a better manager
Unfair treatment of writers, toxic support team, toxic work environment, and unethical work ethics
I recently had a highly disappointing experience with this company. As a writer, I expected fair treatment and professionalism from the platform, but unfortunately, my encounter was far from satisfactory.
First and foremost, the treatment of writers is utterly unfair. Instead of fostering an environment of collaboration and support, they seem to relish in imposing exorbitant fines for merely seeking clarification on assignments. This punitive approach not only demoralizes writers but also stifles creativity and productivity.
Furthermore, the support team, particularly individuals like Liam and Christopher, exude nothing but arrogance and disregard for writers' concerns. Despite being in a position supposedly designated to assist, they approach interactions with an air of superiority, dismissing valid inquiries and feedback with disdain. They come up with AI reports and additional fines even after proving the work is human generated
What's most frustrating is the blatant disregard for writers' concerns, even when they are undeniably in the right. Academia Research appears to prioritize its own agenda over the well-being and fair treatment of its writers, creating an environment of distrust and disillusionment.
Academia Research is managed and run by goons and thieves
The worst writing service ever. Mistreatment of writers, who fyi, mostly reside in third world countries. Writers are penalized hefty fines, normally $500, equivalent to a month's salary from the site, based on 'uncertain' claims of AI-generated content from normally just a single site. The writers efforts to explain themselves and even provide reports from other sites justifying their hard and original work is thrown to **** with threats of even bigger fines. The quality assurance department is extremely rude to writers and have occasionally been found guilty of rating writers negatively, so they have a reason to fine and demote writers. The support is equally rude and never give a **** about the writers, especially if the client raises an issue. They'll threaten you and fine you even if you are not at fault. The only reason we are leaving reviews here is because, if they tie any complaint to you, they'll come after your writers account. Horrible service, that's all. Whenever you use this site, just know there's an underpaid Kenyan somewhere who probably won't even get the pennies they are given, guess why, it's been deducted in fines.
Recommendation: Boycott
Extremely absurd fines and cruel qad
Since December last year writer in this platform have been fined 100, 300 and 500 usd for purpoted violation of AI policy. The unfortunate thing is that the company does not provide the AI report of the violation despite writers pleading for arbitration to show their AI reports in turnitin, copyleaks, gptzero and zerogpt. Even trying to reach out can have your salary frozen for more than two months and the QAD banner has been used to scare, harass and extort writers for 2 months now. If anyone is able to come to our rescue, please do. 500 dollar fines for a 4 or 10 dollar paper is absurd, extortionate and heartless to be sincere. The QAD department responds to emails with threatening language, arranged in lists or just a sentence with three exclamation marks when a person is crying out for their salary. The clients do not even know the writers are going through this when they pass their assessments. So again for anyone listening, acadrmia writers are going through alot.
Recommendation: The company has good customer service but pimp like and extortionate QAD. If you can stomach abuse and 500 usd fines avoid the platform my dear. Run for your life
No regard for writers
How can 1 page order which is paid $3 to the writer be fined $500? Unless the intention is to degrade, demean and deny the writer any chance to recover, it is out of this world. Why would a writer be intimidated by Support led by the likes of Anderson and the venomous Liam sitting majestically at QAD yet the Company depends on writers to generate? Right now I fear even because I don't know what will befall me. I can confirm that Support or any other member of the organization with authority to edit the accounts usually negatively rate writers without the customers ' knowledge especially towards the regular reviews to find faults where fines or downrating will be done. I boldly state that these vices are targeted at writers from developing countries. I even regret the time I have wasted with AR thinking things will get better but they keep worsening. I urge everyone to avoid this Company whether writer or customer because no human being should treat another with contempt and degrade them just because they feel more powerful.
Recommendation: Avoid this company as a plague because when writers are mistreated you don't expect them to deliver quality work.
Their screening process is [censored]e.
Hi there - freelance writer of 14 years here.
I first tried signing up here last month, May 2023.I got rejected due to supposed plagiarism, which I've never been accused of even once throughout my lengthy run as a freelancer. And when running my work through multiple plagiarism checkers returned a similarity score of 8% at most, I took screenshots of all of those, and then attached them to my email to AR's support team contesting the rejection.
Then just yesterday, I tried again under a different email. I didn't want to take chances this time, so I thought it best to complete and submit my test output 10 hours ahead of the deadline. Not only that, I ran my work through a plagiarism checker as soon as I finished and got a similarity score of 4%.
As it turned out, I may as well not have done any of that. They rejected me again, not even a minute after making my submission, this time for AI-generated content. Since I'd spent 2 hours working on that test output and finished at around 2 AM (GMT+8), that was hurtful and insulting at once.
Recommendation: -9999/10 - avoid

Unnecessary fines
Since the inception of AI, the company has developed a tendency of fining writers unjustly. Despite the customer being satisfied with the work and even rating 10/10, the company has been unfair and even striking 500% fine. Assuming the paper costed 5 dollars a page, the writer is fined 500 dollars or more. Various actions have been taken to complain about the same, but all has been in vain. Since we can't sue the company, we expect thorough investigation done to address the matter.
Claimed loss: 500$
Desired outcome: I'd appreciate if this issue is addressed

Academia Research Review: Pros and Cons of Writing for Cash
So, I signed up for this website called Academia Research to make some buckaroos with my sick writing skills. It seemed easy enough - just find a project that suits your talents and boom, you're on your way to getting paid. And let me tell you, there are a lot of projects to choose from. I'm talking about essays, research papers, reviews, case studies - you name it, they got it.
But unfortunately, it's not all sunshine and rainbows. I finished a project on Friday and it said that the payment would reflect in my bank account within 24 hours. Well, it's been more than 24 hours and no money has come in yet. Either they got some slow-[censored] processing system or my writing isn't as good as I thought it was. I've tried reaching out to their support team but they haven't been very helpful.
Overall, it's been a pretty average experience. The website itself is easy to use and there are a lot of writing opportunities available. But the payment system needs some work and their customer support could definitely be better. If you're looking for a quick way to make some extra cash, it's worth checking out Academia Research.
Academia Research Review: Unreliable and Unfair Payment Practices
Ok, listen up y'all 'cause I got a story to tell about my experience with Academia Research and it ain't pretty. Look, I don't wanna come off too harsh, but I gotta be real here - this place is sketchy AF.
First off, lemme just say that as a writer, you gotta be careful 'cause they'll try to pull one over on you. They're always finding some excuse to deduct amounts from the total bill and it's just not fair. I mean, I put in the time and effort to complete these assignments and they don't wanna pay me what I deserve? Not cool.
And don't even get me started on the payment process. I've had multiple assignments that I've submitted and never gotten a dime for. I'm talking zero dollars. Zilch. Nada. And it's not like I can just call 'em up and sort it out - their customer service is practically non-existent.
Look, I know this might sound like I'm just bitter about not getting paid, but it's honestly more than that. The whole experience with Academia Research just leaves me feeling disappointed and mad. I had high hopes for this place, but they've let me down time and time again.
So to sum it up, be wary of Academia Research. If you're looking for a reliable and fair-paying writing gig, this ain't it.

Academia Research Review: Poor Communication, Sketchy Sign Up Process, and Low Pay
Man, let me tell you what I think about Academia Research. This website just ain't cuttin' it when it comes to communicating. I've been waitin' for ages to hear back from 'em after sending several emails, but it seems like they just don't care. I mean, come on now, it's 2021, you'd think they'd be on top of their game.
But hey, let's talk a bit more about this website. They offer writing jobs for people who got the skills, which sounds pretty sweet. You can work from home and get paid for writing some cool stuff. However, the whole process of signing up and becoming a writer is kinda sketchy. I didn't feel safe sharin' all my personal info with them.
Plus, the pay ain't all that great. I mean, sure it's a job and you get paid, but it's not gonna make you a millionaire. And it's not like they offer much support or guidance. You pretty much gotta figure out everything by yourself.
Overall, Academia Research got some potential, but they need to step up their game when it comes to communicating with their peeps. I wouldn't recommend this website to anyone lookin' for a steady income.
Disappointing Experience with Academia Research's Customer Service
Man, let me tell you about my experience with Academia Research. I tried to sign up to be a writer on their site and I ran into some troubles. I couldn't log in to my account and I had no idea what was going on. It was frustrating as all heck and I was ready to throw my computer out the dang window, you know what I mean?
So, I reached out to their customer service team and let me tell you, they were about as useful as a screen door on a submarine. They didn't do anything to help me figure out what the problem was or even give me a hint on how to fix the dang thing. I mean, come on now, isn't that part of their job?
Overall, I gotta say that I was pretty disappointed in my experience with Academia Research. Maybe they're great once you're actually able to log in and start doing some writing, but I wasn't able to get that far. So, take my warning and proceed with caution, my friends.
Disappointing Experience with Academia Research: Beware of False Error Claims!
So, I was really disappointed with my experience with Academia Research. They declined my test assignment without any good reason. They listed bunch of errors that I couldn't even find in my paper. It was a total waste of my time and energy.
I didn't want to give up just yet, so I decided to double check my paper with some experts and also used Grammarly premium. To my surprise, my paper scored an overall 99% on Grammarly. This was a good news for me because it showed that my paper was in fact well-written and didn't contain any errors that Academia Research claimed to have found.
I still couldn't understand why they rejected my assignment and that's why I have attached the list of "errors" found by academia research in my paper. It's really frustrating when you put in so much effort and time into writing a paper, only to get rejected without any proper explanation.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend Academia Research to anyone. They need to improve their screening process and be more transparent with their feedback. It's really disappointing when you have high hopes for a website and it turns out to be a total let-down.
WARNING: Stay Far Away from Academia Research - Scam Artists and Overpriced Services!
I done went and made the mistake of messing with Academia Research and let me tell you, it was a straight up hot mess. These folks are nothing but a bunch of slimy scam artists, always trying to cheat and exploit the poor folks who work for them. They'll take your hard earned cash and give you next to nothing in return. And don't even get me started on how they overcharge their clients! It's downright criminal.
If you don't believe me, just go scour the webs for yourself. You'll find all kinds of folks who've been screwed over by Academia Research. They're all out there, telling their tales of woe and warning others not to make the same mistake they did.
Honestly, I've never dealt with a more shady bunch of characters. They don't care about their writers, their clients, or anything else for that matter. All they care about is lining their own pockets, no matter who gets hurt in the process.
So take my advice and stay far, far away from Academia Research. You'll thank me later, I promise.
Unfair Treatment of Writers at Academia Research: My Experience
So, me personally as a writer, I don't really recommend Academia Research. Let me tell you why.
I've been writing for them for a while now and I have to say, they don't really treat their writers all that well. Like, they clearly prioritize their customers over us writers. It's like they'll believe anything a customer says, even if our quality assurance department has already cleared the paper as good. Like, what? How is that fair?
And if a customer complains about the paper, even if it's not really our fault, we writers get fined. I mean, come on now. It's not like we have complete control over how the customer perceives their paper. It's a two-way street, you know?
But the worst part is, when we get fined, all we get is a brief email notification. That's it. No discussion, no explanation, nothing. It's like they don't care about us at all.
So yeah, if you're thinking about working for Academia Research, just be careful. Don't expect to be treated fairly as a writer.
You're unfair to writers just because they don't have any voices, the huge penalties is a insult to their hard work.
The company has recently been imposing huge fines of as much as $500 for orders they "claim" to be AI generated without providing proof of the same. This is unjust and inhumane and should be condemned in the strongest terms possible.
The entire support team should be fired and replaced by real professionals.
