We are finding that Loves allows truck drivers too stay in fueling lanes too long when they are not fueling. Then they sometimes pull forward and block vehicles who are done fueling behind them for extended periods of you. Our last several fuel stops took over 45 minutes.
Truckers seem to abuse their time when parked at fuel areas – getting lunch, taking showers, or adhering to rest break requirements for their drive. This is becoming unacceptable.
Yesterday, a truck was parked in front of us for at least 20 minutes and no one was pumping gas. There was no one visible in the cab.
We went inside to the counter to ask what their policy was and if someone could make an announcement and ask them to move. Person behind the counter, said that they can ask people to move, but truckers only shrug them off. So they were unwilling to do so.
Loves needs to have one attendant watching the lanes and moving trucks forward as soon as they are done fueling. Then, there needs to be a time limit for how much time trucks take in front of the fuel location. Perhaps a waiting fee could be assessed when people violate this rule.
If this continues, we will need to take our business elsewhere.
Claimed loss: Excessive wasted time
