Liquor Control Board of Ontario [LCBO] review: Rude customer service ( 1 comment)

on Monday April 4th my mother who is in her late 70's walked in to the LCBO at covenent glen in Orleans as she has in over 30 yrs. She walked through the aisles a bit and chose a bottle of wine. When my mother got to the cash the new employee who she had never seen before, said she couldnt sell her a bottle of wine. She said "I know your husband just died" but you shouldn't be drinking!

She had no right to say that at all. My mother had not even had a single drink!

She went home and 2 police cruisers show up at her house! They of course came in and found out she was sober and left.

This employee should not have called the police on my mom or not served her.

My mother has coordination issues and walks slowly because she is elderly!

I tried to call the manager, but Laurie is not in until tomorrow. I will be contacting a lawyer, as this employee had no right to speak about my fathers passing.

My mother was utterly embarrased. At the store, as well as 2 police cruisers showing up at the house
