Liquor Control Board of Ontario [LCBO] review: Profiling / harassment ( 1 comment)

I decided to dive up north to Vaughn to donate / sell some of my clothes at Plato's closet near the LCBO at 7850 Weston Road. While waiting for my items to process, and since most of the store's we're already closed at 8:30pm; I went into the LCBO across the street from Plato's to have a look at their foreign spirits collection out of curiosity (being a middle-easten myself and I know some locations have some arak bottles that other dont). during the 3-5 minutes me and my two friends were inside; I noticed "Joe" the Assistant Manager walking few meters away from us while continually staring. I found that odd so I looked at him back and he continued to follow and stare at me. I turned to my friends, laughed, and pointed out that "that guy" is following us and staring at us, then continued to leave the store.

As I am walking out he follows and starts asking what's so funny, and accuses us of acting weirdly by going into different aisles and staring at him back. Accused us of "Acting weird and thinking about/trying to steal". I tried to get any of the employees to give me the manager's number but none of them would and seemed like they we're a bit scared of going against him since "Joe" is the assistant manager and probably their supervisor.

Needles to say that was a traumatic experience since I've never had this done to me in the past. I am considering resulting to legal action against the LCBO for profiling and harassment if this matter is ignored.

This was on the night of August 28th, 2023 at around 8-8:30pm at 7850 Weston Road
