LG Electronics lg refrigerator

Its been a month of still not getting anywhere with any one to come look at my refrigerater lg has by far the worst customer service I have ever come across im in tears writing this. When I thought there was hope ad I finally got some one to come out they came earlier then the set appointment. And my daughter was there a half and hour early so they just come when they want to and don't tell you. Gave them my cell number sevral time to use that they use my land line.

LG Electronics Refrigerator model #lfxs26926s /01

I bought this unit in February 2017. It is now 9/11/2020 and the unit has stopped working, no cooling and no freezing as of 9/7/2020. I called your worthless service department and she said "Oh we don't have service in your area zip code (43025)". So, I called a local service technician and he checked it out ($59.99) and he said the compressor was not working. In the meantime I lost $307 in food gone bad. The paper work for the purchase of this P.O. S states a 10 year warranty for the compressor including parts and labor.

I found this quote from an LG website:

"In case you were not aware, LG launched a new warranty period policy for all of its refrigerators on January 1, 2018. The new warranty extended its labor portion of the warranty to 5 years for its cooling (sealed) system components, please see below chart for details.
If repair is needed*, please call our Customer Interactive Center at [protected] where an agent will work with you to resolve your issues."After consideration, we thought the same coverage should be benefited by all our consumers. Accordingly, we are proud to honor the same warranty coverage to our consumers who purchased a LG refrigerator prior to January 1, 2018. For example, if it is now June 1, 2019, and you purchased your refrigerator on June 2, 2014, your refrigerator will be repaired as to the Cooling System with no cost to you whatsoever, parts or labor!

* Proof of purchase will be required for all units. Please have the receipt or invoice, from the store in which you purchased the unit, available when contacting an agent.

So my questions is are; Are you going to replace this compressor? How long will it take because I have LIMITED amount of perishable food in an ice chest because I can't afford another unit. What about my loss of food?

I have the same issue! My LG refrigerator is 3 years old and quit cooling. Basically, they did a trouble shooting over the phone and ordered a compressor to be delivered to the house. The other 2 parts were delivered to a warehouse. A technician came, but, needed the other 2 parts which were not at the house. That was a month ago. We have had 3 appointments for repair, and, nobody shows up or calls. Last Friday [protected]) Despite receiving a text confirming the appt. on Monday [protected] no one showed up or called. (My husband called the number at 1:30 and was told a tech would call when they had an ETA.) I am trying to escalate the issue to a supervisor, and get the same "we are sorry about that" blah, blah. We will see what happens. Originally I was going to replace all other appliances with LG, now there is no way I will buy another LG product.

My wife and I are both in our 80's and our lg refrigerator stoped working August 28th 2020. I called lg customer service August 29th and was told my refrigerator was under warrenty but they didn't have anyone in my area to repair it and would try to get someone to fix the refrigerator, that has not happened. I sent them the invoice from Home Depot to file a claim and have heard nothing. I have called them more than a dozen times and as soon as I give them my number which is my complaint number they either put me on hold for hours with no one answering the phone or they hang up. What customer service is for lg is they say very sorry for the inconvenience, I apologize, or so sorry to hear that. Meaning less words that don't mean a thing, their cutomer service and warranties are the worst of any company I've dealt with my whole life. Over Labor Day weekend Home Depot had a flyer for appliances and featured lgs appliances on the first couple of pages. What bothers me about that is the fact that Home Depot is probably the biggest seller of lg products in the USA and they have to know at there Home Depots coporate offices that lgs customer service and there warranties are a HUGE HUGE problem with class action lawsuits because of their refrigerator compressors. The big question is Why do they still do business with this South Korean Company which doesn't stand behind it refrigerators? I'm sending a e-mail to Home depot and ask them that question. I'll let you know their answer.

LG Electronics Warranty Parts LG Mini Split

Purchased an LG Mini Split 2 years ago. One month ago it quit working. Called AC Repair company that is local. They called LG tech support and determined there were 2 sensors bad. Ordered the 2 sensors and was called today to let me know LG sent the wrong parts that took 3 weeks to receive. Three weeks for commonly failing parts is unacceptable and typical of LG support. Now I have to wait another 2-3 weeks without air conditioning because LG does not care about taking care of warranty issues. The mini split shouldn't have even failed in such a short time. LG does not make quality products and should be pulled off the market for inferior products and terrible service. With traditional ac systems it is easy to get parts in 1-2 days and have your HVAC up and running again without waiting a month.

LG Electronics Faulty new machine (lg refrigerator) and incompetent service by lg co

I bought a LG Refrigerator Model No: GLN292DDSY purchase date 16-05-2020, In a couple of month the Fridge started over cooling and all the vegetables and fruits started rotten because of the high freezing temperature and we informed the LG service because this product covers under warranty and the service team taken 7 visits and nearly 40 days especially in the Covid-19 pandemic situation to address the problem and every time we have to sanitize the refrigerator and become a nuisance for my family members. I am very surprised how a International Branded LG Company can manufacture a faulty product and may use for the customers and also surprised about their incompetent service provided by LG co. Usually in other countries they will replace with a new product for maintaining the reputation of the company but here in India we can't expect such generosity from the manufacture.

LG Electronics Defective refrigerator

MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE DURING A PANDEMIC- I purchased an LG fridge in 2017 when I renovated the kitchen. The fridge stopped cooling. I contacted LG repair on JUNE 20, 2020 and set an appointment for the repair.
The appointment was set for JUNE 24. 2020 with the tech.
The designated tech did not show up instead another technician showed up saying that the tech is ill, and he is a substitute, however, he is not an expert on the compressor, and we may need to reschedule. I contacted LG the same day and rescheduled the next available tech could only come on July 2nd between 8-12. Waited for the 2nd tech to come (mind you in the interim we had to throw away all of the food in the fridge/ Medications that needed cooling. On the 2nd I receive a call from another tech saying that the scheduled tech Robert could not come and that he will be substituting for him. However, since we only were added to his route he can be there in the evening. We waited and the tech came and changed the compressor. He told us to wait 24 hours once the fridge cools it is 100% fixed. We waited 24 hours and went to Costco to buy everything again to fill the fridge we spent over $750.00 the fridge was cooling for about a week but made a strange whistling sound. about a week later we noticed that it was not cooling again so I ordered 2 fridge thermometers from amazon. We set the fridge on the lowest setting and the temperature inside was between 55- 60 degrees. Once again, we had to throw away all the food purchased. Called LG and scheduled another appointment for AUG 19, 2020. The tech showed up and said that we need to replace the compressor and hose again. He seemed more knowledgeable from the previous tech. He worked on the fridge and he said that this time for sure the fridge will work in 24 hours. Once again, we had to threw away all the food and medication and buy everything new. Due to the fact that I am battling Cancer and have a very low immune system I cannot afford to be out in the stores on a weekly basis and I had to make one big shop again. Once again trusting that everything will be all right. The fridge stopped working again same issue. I called the repair department and was transferred to a supervisor who advised me that they will put in a claim for a replacement fridge and a food waste allowance. I specifically asked her to send me a check instead so I can go and buy a fridge, she advised me that that is not the way it handled. I can buy a mini fridge and they will replace my fridge. She also advise that if I purchase one now I will be stuck with 2 refrigerators, and that she could not expedite this she gave me a claim # and advised that someone would contact me to arrange the replacement. I went ahead and purchased a mini fridge and a deep freezer to keep the necessities and the meat and waited it has been over 2 weeks. I was contacted by text by a very rude individual who claims they will settle this for $700 .I asked them to call me or give me the contact details and this rep refused ( and keeps texting me ) once again I called LG and talked to ANN at [protected] who assured me that the replacement request was put in 9/2/2020 and that she will call me the next day 8:00 AM and have an account executive handle my case she advised me to ignore the texts I'm getting . This morning I waited, and no one called. The rude rep by the name of Shaza Robinson still keeps on texting me arguing in a text, refused to call me or provide contact information.
This is totally unprofessional and unacceptable. I am a 75 year old cancer patient I can no longer live without a refrigerator and deal with all of the lies and unprofessionalism of the LG reps . I was promised a replacement fridge and compensation for the food waste and the purchase of a mini fridge . This has been going on for 3 months and now LG is refusing to honor the warranty !

LG Electronics Washing machine

I am using LG products such as Washing machine AC TV etc
But now a days I am not getting service support especially in the area
chennai if I give a return call to them and behaving very rude. Not responding with the proper words. Very worst customer care and support.
It is intend to move to other products due to this issues. This is Not Lifes Good, it is Lifes Bad.

LG Electronics Washing machine

We purchased an LG washing machine, model no. 81256 on January 15th, 2013. I had extended the warranty and service contract with the Brimag company until mid-January, 2020.

The machine performs well and we were very satisfied with our purchase, until a major breakdown occurred in November, 2019, when the digital control card burned out and had to be replaced. This was included in the warranty, but unfortunately, due to the card not being in stock in Israel, it ultimately took around 3 months to finally get the card and repair the machine. At one point the Brimag company provided us with a replacement machine to take ours for service in their central facility.

When our machine was returned, it indeed worked properly in terms of the various washing functions, BUT it was clear to us that the fierce shaking and vibrations of the machine during the spin rinse cycle had become much worse than 'normal'. We called for service and indeed, the technician came, and after making some adjustment of the machine legs, announced that all was in proper repair. However, to this day, whenever we use the spin rinse cycle, the machine literally 'dances' and at the end of the wash, must be pushed back into place. The range of movement can be 12 or more centimeters, not to mention the banging against the wall or any other item placed next to the machine for storage (like a folding table).

Due to our unpleasant experience with Brimag, I did NOT renew a service contract with them, and nor did they approach me to do so. I do receive service from a local private appliance company, though I have not yet required their services.

In any case, despite what the technician said, there is obviously a problem with our machine, and all indications are that it was caused/began WHILE IN BRIMAG'S facility. Of course, since the machine works and does its job, with no indication of something being wrong, we have no reason to request a 'repair', since, ostensibly, 'noting is broken' as they say.

But of course, no one will admit there is a problem that may have been caused by the service company, which might expose them to liability for the problem and the need to compensate us.

I therefore decided to write to you directly. I do not know if there is any way to remedy the problem, and if we have to continue living with this issue, then so be it. HOWEVER, it is more than clear to us at this point that if we have to purchase a new machine - which we may have to do - we will NOT CONSIDER LG, both because of the fact that obtaining a crucial part took so long AND the unprofessional attitude and service we received from your 'official' franchise service company in Israel, Brimag.

I would write more, but I have to go right now and push the washing machine back in place!

I do hope that this complaint will be actually read and considered, though I have my doubts. This entire experience is simply bad business for LG, because at this point you have lost a customer. That may not overly concern the powers-that-be at LG, but that is our only way of showing our dissatisfaction of what we consider to be poor and unprofessional service, not to mention terrible customer relations.

LG Electronics Deceptive business practice/warranty repair charges

LG Dishwasher purchased in 2017 stopped working. Contacted licensed repairman off of Angie's List who diagnosed issue as faulty motherboard ($60.00 trip fee). Attempted for (2 months) to get proper part ordered through repairman/LG. First time, wrong part was sent, second time, no part was sent at all. Called LG back to begin dealing with an LG repairman directly and avoid communication through a third party. LG Customer service rep stated that they could not dispatch one of their repairmen without me providing them with credit card information, for "pre-authorization" that would cover any parts or additional work discovered by their LG technician.
Technician arrived and asked if the part had been received by me for the repair. I said it had not. He checked his truck and found the part. As he was replacing/repairing, UPS delivered the ordered part, which I provided to the tech. The repair was made. I paid the tech what he called a minimum service charge of $65.00 (plus tax), and the tech went about his day.
Today, I was charged an additional $134.07 ($125.00 + tax) for the repair. I contacted LG Customer Service who advised me that the $134.07 was a "dispatch fee" charged in addition to the service fee charged by the technician.

LG Electronics French door refrigerator, model lmxs30776

Purchased an LG French Door refrigerator in February, 2017 and loved the features and room it provided. In November, 2018 had issues with compressor/motor making a lot of noise, so much so that it was hard to listen to the TV in family room. Called warranty provider, who then had the service company, Goldwing, call to set up appointment. Goldwing came out and said they had to order parts. Waited and finally serviced refrigerator. Still didn't solve problem, and service provider came out again to replace compressor. After several attempts, went back to store (Spencer's) unit was purchased from and they arranged to have the whole unit replaced in November, 2018. The compressor went out on the new unit on August 11th, 2020 and called warranty company to fix. Scrambled to save what frozen food we could from the freezer and move refrigerated items to coolers and small outdoor refrigerator. Called LG to utilize the Smart Diagnostics feature, but after being put on hold for an hour we gave up on that. The warranty company, Centurion Home Shield, called back and indicated the quickest that LG could come out was the following week on August 18. Called LG directly to see if they could provide a spare for all of the food in coolers with ice until they could repair since it was taking them so long to service their product. They told us to go back to warranty company to make request. We told them we already did and they told us to go to LG since that was their responsibility. We even went back to Spencer's where we purchased the unit and they told us they couldn't do anything either, since the unit was already replaced once. So basically, we are stuck during the heat of an Arizona summer without a refrigerator and no one willing to help or do anything for us to get by while LG is not able to service their customers in a timely manner because their products have such a backlog of repair orders. Meanwhile, we are buying ice everyday to salvage what we have left. Unbelievable! LG could care less. In talking with one of the several repairmen, he claims the compressor is severely under size for the unit and that we will probably have this problem again. Really. No one should pay $3, 000 for a refrigerator that lasts only 1 1/2 years and no timely repairs! And no customer service, who can speak and understand English, to boot!

I file my first inquiry to lg support on may 11 when my tv stopped working, file multiple repair request and inquiries, lg customers always respond buy never have an repair appointment date or anithing, tried to contact lg usa support on facebook and twiter and they no longer respond, what is worst my lg account was "disabled" and all my inquiries and repair request just disappear, no one answers and I I have a 2000+ tv sitting on the floor just gathering dust, What a horrendous support for a so called "premium" tv, very shady company.

LG Electronics Dishwasher

Caveat emptor - Please be aware of what you are getting into. This is not a manufacturer that stands behind its products.

Buy this product if you think you are lucky, or do not particularly value your time. Vote with your pockets if you think companies should be held accountable for the products they sell.

Item was purchased Nov 2017. Great item, while it worked [The positive review are not off the mark], but 4 months after manufacturer's 2 year warranty expired, I ran into the following issues:
(a) Faulty control panel - lights blink and/or buttons inoperative
(b) GFCI trips - So an electrocution hazard?
(c) 20 Amp circuit breaker trips - Wow! So a fire hazard?
The first one is known issue with poor water insulation on the circuit board, but LG customer care would not take responsibility (Many posts on Reditt - Should have been a recall, but isn't). 2 weeks later:
(d) Door lock switch failed in closed position with contents locked in.
I had to get a technician. $511 in repairs. And barely a week later:
(e) Machine self reported HE error - either thermostat, or water heater is broken.
(f) Water leak due to failed rubber seal on lower part of door panel

Through this all, I've kept LG informed - turns out these issues are not all that uncommon. LG's only response was that I was out of warranty and so it was (I paraphrase) not their concern.

LG insists that the item must be diagnosed by their "authorized technicians". I live in the SF/Bay area - There are only 4 shops authorized, and none would take my call! Life is too short to spend fixing broken appliances, or dealing with "customer care" that just doesn't "care")_

There are better brands around...

LG Electronics Customer service

I am Omran Kouba,

A mathematician and university professor.

50 days ago exactly on 31 May 2020, the maintenance from LG Syria came see a the problem with my LG dishwasher that
I bought on 21 March 2012, and they dismantled the appliance and found a problem with the engine which is under 10-years warranty. They took photos and promised to come back soon. The left every thing in parts, with the machine upside down in my kitchen (see photos) but they did not come back and today is fifty days after!.
I do not want the machine to be repaired anymore, I want to gain use to kitchen because it is not a maintenance site.
What I am sure of is that will never buy or recommend an LG appliance in the future.

LG Electronics French door refrigerator

We bought a LG Refrigerator on 01/22/2020. In May the freezer section started icing over and not defrosting. Now the freezer door will hardly open. We contacted LG at the end of May and have contacted them several times since then. They yet to send a repair person to our home. We are in desperate need of help. We are terribly disappointed in LG service. Why can't they send some repair help

We cannot get any help for our LG Refrigerator. We can hardly open the freezer drawer. What is going to happen when the door ices over. What are we to do? This is unacceptable

LG Electronics LG Cooktop

My cooktop has been broken for 5-6 weeks and I have had 2 service technicians come and still nothing has been resolved. The first tech came to only inspect and stated that it would take 3-4 days to receive the part and then another 3-4 days before they would be scheduled to come back out. The second tech came only after I called to inquire if the part had come in and then it took him 3-4 days to come out (Wednesday, July 1st)only to be told that the wrong part had been ordered and he could not fix it and that it would take an additional 3-4 days to receive the part. A week later (today, Wednesday, July 8th) I call to see if the part has arrived and only then was I advised that part was on backorder and with any luck the part would be in by next week on Wednesday (July 15th) and that they could come out on Thursday (July 16th). In addition, the LG Customer Service gives you an appointment and then you receive a call from the repair subcontract company, XPert Electronic Service who tells you to disregard the appointment given by LG as they are not accurate...the customer service at XPert Electronic is horrific and have no regard or care for the client as the attitude is take it or leave it.

On may 23 2020 after spending 1799 on an LG refrigerator that lasted just 2 years
I've been on the phone on hold for hours almost every day for a month trying to resolve the problem with my fridge not cooling. i've been promise reembersment on over 400 dollars in food, spence, 300 on a mini fridge plus water cooler and also a replcement of my frdge also tnot to mention LG offer to repar my fridge a month ago nothing has been done. Customer Service is is un profetional and not capable of helping, put me onhold for long periods without any results at the end.Very unsatisfied with how my problem was handle with no results! No one really care!
I would not recomend this company to any one!The fustration is beyond words and at the end had lost 1799 for my fridge over 400 in food 300 a mini fridge replacement and now on the market for another fridge about another 1500 more for my family size.

LG Electronics Refrigerator

We bought what we thought was a higher end fridge from LG. Ice maker goes out. Frige failure in first 2years also Had one of there tecknitions come out last week. Worked on it for about 1-2 hours. Said to check the ice in a day and let them know it its not working. Its been a week still no ice. Has new air and water filters. There customer phone line horriable

LG Electronics TV

In 2016, I purchased a brand new LG TV. Two weeks ago, I noticed a white spot on the screen, and yesterday, there are 3 more. My TV is long out of warranty, but to pay hundreds of dollars and have it last only 4 years is sickening. I was told by a TV repairman that there is nothing that can be done. Every appliance in my home is made by LG. Now I am wondering if I have made a huge mistake.

LG is a great manufacture of both home electronics and appliances. It might be worth a call to the retailer you purchased the television through. If additional warranty coverage was purchased at the time, the product would be covered through them.

LG Electronics Kitchen wifi appliances

My units are 7 months old and no one not even lg techs can get them connected. I have had to lg techs, 2 from best buy and countless phone calls. Iphone does not work. Not only would I never buy lg again, it is now a mission to tell as many consumers as possible. I spend 20 minutes each day doing so and see no end in sight.

LG Electronics Refrigerator, excess cooling in the freezer - ice formed inside freezer

Noticed no cooling in the fridge section. After several telephone calls a technician visited my apartment and said the control box required replacement. I said to the technician that I have been using the fridge for only three months (though I bought the fridge four years before at the duty free, I started using the fridge only I retired and returned to colombo in january). He said due to voltage fluctuations the control board could have failed. I said to him there is a transformer in my apartment and there cannot be voltage fluctuations. Further I pointed to the sticker on the freezer door stating works without stabilizer. He said it is for the compressor. Please note that I am a chartered electrical engineer worked at ce b and 30 years in the middle east in oil and gas industry.

The control board was replaced, refer to abans invoice 027353 dated19 may 2020.
After the repairs I found the freezer temperature is very cold despite the thermostat in the freezer was set at position 1 and I have been calling and following up with the technician and his lead. Despite several promises to check the fridge nothing has happened.

All excuses are bxxx sxxx from abans service.

The service company in both kharkov and kiev is staffed by useles [censored]s, who've been jerking me off for over 2 months. After this time no one has come fix the tv under warranty, and they have no idea what they are doing. I guess they hire the handicapped.. The mentally handicapped. Useless pieces of [censored]. Do not buy lg... You've been warned. Samsung is much better!
