My wife and I purchased a Leather Sofa/Loveseat from A&H Wayside, 1550 Freeway Drive, Reidsville, NC in Sept of 2007. They did not have a floor model, but in the catalog the furniture looked similiar to what we had. We received the furniture on Dec. 7, 2007 and found it to be very stiff and uncomfortable. We know that leather takes a while to break in so we waited a few months and realized that this set we bought was poorly made and very uncomfortable. My wife has had neck surgery and the sofa and loveseat aggravate the problem. The set we had before was wonderful and comfortable, but old and worn. This furniture was not made correctly and we tried for months to get someone to help us by calling the store, but no one has come to look at it.
We have considered calling the Better Business Bureau, but have not done so as yet.
What are our options?

We bought a brisbane sectional december 2005 had to have it repaired by sept 2006 the recliners at both ends are crooked, I have contacted Gosstshalks where we purchased it for 3000. 00. they can order parts and the same from Lane but when aske to replace it because it is a lemon no luck and they refuse to give CEO name or number, I don' t want to spend money on repairs when the couch will just fall apart again. Any Ideas out there, They seem really good at playing dumb.

what a pity! feel sorry to hear your words. I think maybe you could do sth to relieve your resentment. Stiff sofa recliners may be fine if you sit on them for several weeks. Usually there is a transitional period. for more sofa info, see http://www.made-in-china.com/Furniture-Furnishing-Catalog/Furniture-Furnishing.html

bought a lane double ended recliner couch from big wallys furniture, in somers point nj.
less than a year later, the left side recliner mechanism broke.we called big walays,
who advised us that there was a lifetime guarantee on the mechanism, and to call
lane furniture.we did, and we were advised that although the mechanism is guaranteed,
we have to pay for labor.we made an appointment for repair, and it took 7 weeks for us to get one !
in the mean time, the mechanism broke through the cusion and ripped it.
not only did we have to pay over $150 dollars for labor, they refused to do anything about the rip !
iI CAN ASSURE YOU ALL...WE WILL N E V E R BUY ANY LANE FURNITURE AGAIN !
SO, FAIR WARNING BEWARE OF LANE FURNITURE !

I bought 2 recliners about a year ago, and one of them are broke and its just from use, i have no kids, so it wasnt abused.

I will not buy any of their furniture ever again...I thought i was getting a good deal when i got both recliners on sale and i thought it was a steal at $700.00 for both.

Its a shame when you cant buy anything that will last a normal amount of time.

Its seems we get riped off all the time no matter what it is, what happened to, they stand buy what they sell.?

A new seat cushion and mechanism for your chairs should be free of charge from Lane. The labor is the customer's responsibility after one year, which is pretty standard for most manufacturers. You should be able to have somebody install the parts for much less than what 2 new chairs would cost. [protected]

We bought a lane sofa and love seat in 2006. Within a few months the vinyl started cracking. Lane sent us material but we had to pay for the labor to have the cushions re-covered. The new coverings lasted only a month and they started cracking again. This is sorry furniture. We would never recomment this to anyone. Also one of the handles for the recliner broke. Lane will do nothing else to help us. Sorry HR and sorry customer realtions...We would rather sit on the floor than purchase their product again.

We also bought a lane living room suite. The threads keep unraveling. This is by far the worst purchase we ever made. The loveseat unraveled and they repaired it once but within a month it had unraveled again .Now the couch is doing the same thing. We suggest you think twice about buying Lane.
