Lacoste Operations review: Cardigan damaged on first washing

I bought a dark blue cardigan at Lacoste, Vasco da Gama shopping in Portugal at end of December 2019, my husband wore it twice before I washed it according to the washing instructions, a week after I bought it. When I was folding it I saw that there was a hole at the front of the jersey by the ribbing. (As per photos) It must have had a loose yarn because it was washed gently. First time it has ever happen to me I took it back to the store where I bought it and the assistants were very rude and arrogant and first were unwilling to help. They were implying that I was lying . Eventually they stayed there with the jersey and said they were going to send it to Lacoste. Then they returned the jersey and said that they are not doing anything about it. The jersey cost 150 euros plus I spent another +-500 euros previously at the same store ( my husband buys frequently from Lacoste because we always liked the quality). I just want the jersey to be exchanged please. I. Faria
