This is a very mild complaint compared to what happened to me yesterday in another place. I thought this incident was isolated... But after reading these complaints I see that La Quintas are not employing reputable people for their staff and that's a huge problem.
But this was mild compared to yesterday for me and some things I've read on here:
I was just staying 1 night in La Quinta in Westminster, CO. I was there job searching.
I passed a good, decent night. Had dinner, rested well. I got up the next morning and showered and washed my hair.
Now I'm solo - so nobody was with me at all. So I was not talking or anything.
I receive a phone call - I answer and its the front desk. Here is what she says, "I heard you were making a disturbance and loud noise is coming from your room, and do we have to call the police?!"
I went "Huh?" I was drying my hair and putting makeup on and not making one peep neither had I made any all night or morning! There was nobody for me to talk to!
I was shocked! So I thought "OMG well maybe my hair dryer has bothered somebody" (sarcastically of course)
I was very upset. Later, after thinking about it, I called back and asked why they had targeted me for this when I had done nothing.
The front desk person said "Oh we found out who it was, but we just called everybody until we found the right ones".
Seriously? They disturbed "everybody" with false accusations?
I have worked hotel front desk myself, but I have never seen anything as incompetent as this!
But after my horror story yesterday (which I had not stayed with a la quinta for 2 months, I think), this was nothing at all (except false accusation if not illegal - is unethical and immoral).
