I have been going to two locations in plantation, fl for 2 years. I am a rewards member and stay many times a month usually. Have had well over 40 reservations over past year, with many of those multiple nights and several times 10-20 days or more. I have watched this chain go down the drain and repeatedly every visit almost have issues. Management is totally incompetent and can care less. I like many here have had it all start with being over charged and charged for incidentals that was suppose to be refunded but never was..3 timss in a row I had to fight with my credit card company to get my money back.. Upon complaining they comped me a room.. And rightfully so. Long story short on almost every visit there were issues some minor some larger. Many timss I would tell them and they do nothing. However some were more disgusting and major and could not be ignored, like hair under the blanket when going to bed.. Roaches many times.. Ants.. Broken tvs.. No hot water on many occasions.. I complained as anyone would and wuth all I was staying there. I got comped a total of maybe 3 times for one night or refund and rightfully so. After being ignored so many times and being disgusted by this place and managemebt I wrote a bad review on google.

My last visit was on 7-15-2020. On the prior visit the staff member that was checking me in saw the bad review and said I like to punch you in the face for the bad review! Then this last visit anfew days later as soon as I checked in there was no hot water again. I was told maintenance left and if I wanted to go to another room just to take a shower I could then, I explained I was in the middle of work and could not leave and didn't need shower till morning. Morning came no hot water.. Called the front desk they said ok send someone up.. No one came.. I had to leave.. Leave without being able to shower for one and killing more roaches and tv that doesn't work again with lines through it. As I was leaving a manager was there. I told the manager, manager said ok that is unacceptable will refund you.. Told her I was in a rush and would follow up with email.. When I emailed her to go over the issues and asked if instead of refund can comp a room for that day or next I didnt hear back..3 emails later the biggest joke and fool emails me.. His name is jp, assistant manager stating that they will not refund me or comp me as they have had to d9 so 3 times over the whole time I have gone and all my visits and money spent and that I have complained of these issues before and as such he also was prohibiting me. The long term rewards member spending tons of money I am not welcome or allowed to stay at the plantation locations. First off so you know these 2 hotels are worst than the bates motel! Jp is the epitome of an inompetent who doesn't know his place or job. Look online and see all the complaints.. Many are for the same ussues and more than I complained. The worst they do nothing about any complaints and wonder why they keep coming? Duh seriously?? There are w locations in plantatuon within blocks. Of each other and both are run by sisters! So if you have an issue at one the sister will tell the other one and they will treat you rudely and good luck with any issies they will ignore you. I am lodging official complaint with corporate and going to speak to a lwayer about being threatened by a staff member. There is people smoking all throughout the hotel and the smell of pot as well. Just totally disgusting. Hopefully corporate understands and deals with customers better. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs and go stay right down the block at the hampton inn which I did immediately after leaving this last time and omy what a world. Of difference to be in a real hotel!! To sum it up.. They overcharge.. Roaches. Broken tv. Stained carpets.. Mold in bathroom, foul smell in the rooms, no hot water, pot smell, smoke coming through vents.. A horror show. The property and the management included. Stay away! The number one rule in business and especially in these time is you look to keep your customer and take care of your main good paying repeat customers as they are not easy to come by.. Jp better known as [censored] would know this if he actually understood anything with business or his postion.. Which he must of gotten by knowing someone.. Being related or some other illegitimate way. Laquinta inn plantation hotels.. Aka horror show.. Stay away.. You will learn soon enough if you go these places should be closed for how disgusting they are

    I also have a complaint on here for absolutely inexcusable behavior which made me really really sick and could have even done worse.

    One theme that I see over and over - well 2 themes - is mysogeny and mistreatment of women and also very INCOMPETENT and even hostile employees (which I experienced in Colorado). This chain used to be a very nice hotel. I don't know what has happened, but it has just gone to the dogs.

    The community where I live too also told me that the local La Quinta has a horrible reputation here for hurting people. I suggest La Quinta start hiring REPUTABLE employees.

    I also tried to complain to the BBB - I did make a State discrimination case too because my mistreatment could have been very serious - almost was - but they are not a member of the BBB.

    The BBB probably won't take them. La Quinta needs to clean up their act, or they will lose all their loyal clients. I know they have lost me. I am sharing a lot of this on my Facebook too - people need warning not to go there where its not safe

    @Brendalicia La Quintas need entirely new managers - complete housecleaning of horrible staff and complete replacement of all staff, and then start cleaning it up! Its not the guests fault - this is internal within the hotel itself.
