Kmart review: adjustment

Dear Kmart,

On 4/24/19 I wanted to purchase Easter items on sale. I asked the rep when they would be marked down again and I was told on Sunday 4/28/19. I asked if I bought them now could I get an adjustment. The CS person Kevin said "yes" as long as it was done within 7 days. I asked Kevin was he sure and he said yes. So I bought what I wanted. When I came back on May 1, 2019. The adjustment was not honored by the manager Al. He told me that I could not return items purchase after the holiday. I told Al that that was unfair, because I asked Kevin was he sure I could get an adjustment and he said "yes" and not once did Kevin tell me that I could not after a holiday. Also, it is not on my receipt. If I had been given correct information, I would have waited until after they had been marked down. I asked AL for the phone # of the GM and he said "he was the GM". Then I asked for the phone# of the DM and he said he could not give me his number, that I had to call the 1-866-562-7848 number and follow the procedure. I called that number 3xs on 5/1/19 and was on hold for an hour, twice before I had to end the call. When I home and settled down later that evening I called again at the 1-888-331-4568 and got a Spanish operator who transferred me to the 1-866-562-7848 number and was on hold for 1hour and 4 minutes before my call was disconnected from Kmart without ever talking to a CS person.
I would like the adjustment from 50% off to 70% to be honored as promised to me on 4/24/19. I would not have bought the items on 4/24/19, if I had been given correct information. I would have taken my chances and waited until Sunday 4/28/19.
