KitchenAid Refrigerator model KRFF507HBS

This refigerator has been the absolute worst appliance i've ever owned in my life. I have had nothing but issues since day 1 (ice maker multiple times, the lights go off in the uni, and has stopped cooling on me multiple time). The last time they couldn't fix it for 6 months. I have 2 small children at home and had to buy a backup fridge while they fixed it. And weeks after they finally "fixed it (6 visits, 3 compressors and other parts) it stopped cooling again! The worst part about this is that I own all kitchenaid appliances and never had any major issues expect for this lemon of a fridge. They will not replace for me or refund and keep giving me the run around. I expected much more from such a big company that I have spent over $10k with in the last few years.

Desired outcome: Replace or reimburse

Purchased late 2018, was serviced last about 2 weeks ago and my whole cooling system just went out again so will be serviced again next week.

KitchenAid Refrigerator

We bought a kitchen aid package 5 years ago and one year in the refrigerator died, after 4 months it was replaced after a series of repair tries. Since then the stove and oven have suffered problems and our fridge that is less than 4 years old has once again died. We are so disappointed, never again will we buy kitchen aid or any whirlpool appliance. This is disgraceful!

I'm so very sorry to hear of your frustration. This is not something you would expect from Whirlpool family appliances.

The fact that you've had two fridges give you problems within relatively short periods of time indicates a potential external problem. Make sure the fridge is receiving ample breathing room. Without doing so, you could be unknowingly suffocating the sealed system.

KitchenAid Refrigerator

KitchenAid refrigerator Model KRFC704FBS03, Serial # KX2916457

Purchased on 9/20/2020. Installed in my home mid November of that year, when my remodel was complete. Noticed a few weeks ago that items didn’t seem as cold as they should be, so I put a digital thermometer inside and the temperature hovered in the mid 50’s. Called a repairman, he took all shelves and drawers out and then chipped ice build up off the bottom of the compartment. Then he reset and told me it should start to cool down. $195. I called the. Back that afternoon and said the frig was still at 50 degrees. So he came back on The next afternoon and took the codes out of the bottom of the frig and proceeded to go thru the control panel. Then he told me I needed a new control panel for a price of $457 installed, I assuming. So I called another company out and he was here for 2 hours and I told him he was the 2nd person I had out. When he left it was cooling properly and when I went to bed that night it was at 37 degrees. But this morning it was at 45 and it still going up. He indicated that it could be the control panel and noted that KitchenAid has had problems with this particular model. This model cost me a total of $4:054. I expected better from KitchenAid. I did not purchase an extended warranty.

Desired outcome: Replace the parts and repair it. Or replace it.

Very sorry to hear of your frustrations with your refrigerator. This particular model is highly rated. It's received five star ratings by many consumers. You're wise in checking it the way you did.

If you believe the service you require falls under manufacturer warranty guidelines, please contact Kitchenaid directly at [protected] Mon–Tue: 8 a.m.–8 p.m. EST, Wed–Fri: 9 a.m.–7 p.m. EST.

A simple reset could resolve your issue. Unplug and defrost the entire unit. Make sure you've removed everything from the unit. After plugging it back in, give it time to cycle back and check your temperatures. Hopefully the problem will be resolved.

KitchenAid Dishwasher

I purchased a new dish that turns out leaking and the company has been unable to fix it for 6 months. The technician came yesterday and carried a defective part and suggested me to call Kitchenaid and ask for replacement. It’s been 6 months on something new! Haven’t used it one day! How much patience does a customer need to have? Kitchenaid keeps denying my claim to a new replacement. They just won’t listen. They won’t answer why should I not receive a replacement? Who is responsible for all the stress this is causing to my family?‬

Nobody at Kitchenaid wants to answer my questions. Unfortunately seems like a company that doesn’t care about polite customers or there’s something else. Not uncommon for companies to treat people of color this way.

I reached out to them on social media and they don’t want to answer. I’m amazed how and why they are doing this.

Desired outcome: Immediate repair in a week or replacement

KitchenAid Kitchenaid Refrigerator

We have had several incidents over the past year of our KRMF706ESS01 stopping working. The freezer stops thawing, and the refrigerator goes off and keeps claiming there's a power outage and beeping. Sometimes it comes back on sometimes it doesn't.

We've had a repair person come and they say because it's an erratic problem they can't do anything about it, because it appears to be working fine when they come TWO TO FOUR WEEKS LATER.

The warrantee people say there's nothing else we can do unless the thing isn't working when the repair people get here.

What a scam!

Desired outcome: We want to be reimbursed for this refrigerator and have them take it away! I will never buy another kitchenaid.

Those intermittent problems are the most difficult.

Your problem reflects problematic power. I might suggest trying an active line conditioner be used.

This refrigerator makes horrible noise all day and night. It is loud and annoying. The level of noise requires the television be turned up to hear it over the appliance.

this unit is junk. I want my money back.

Replace it with another 27.5 cu in that does not make so much dumb noise.

KitchenAid Refrigerator

Four years ago we purchased five kitchenaid appliances for our kitchen remodel. Since then, three of the five appliances have had issues, one requiring a complete replacement and the refrigerator most recently going out.

This week the freezer on the refrigerator stopped cooling and was making a horrible noise. We called a repair company, and the diagnostic is that the circuit board went out causing a build up of ice and subsequently causing the thermostat to go out. We were told that in no way should an appliance this new have to have a circuit board replacement, and the repair company suggested we contact kitchenaid to see if there was anything they would do to help us.

I called kitchenaid today, and the manager said they are bound by a one year warranty and there is nothing they can do at all. There was absolutely no willingness to help.

The repair is quoted at $1100+ not even including the hundreds of dollars of food and meat we had to throw out. We spent tens of thousands of dollars on kitchenaid appliances thinking that we were purchasing quality and reliable appliances only to have to purchase a new refrigerator 4 years later. The average lifespan of a refrigerator is supposed to be 14-17 years. To say we are disappointed in kitchenaid is an understatement. After further research, it appears as though faulty circuit boards are an issue with specific models, and kitchenaid is aware of this problem.

Plus, four months ago we had to completely replace our kitchenaid microwave, as it started to literally blow up anything we put in there. That was another $800 on a new microwave plus $800 on the original microwave that barely made it 4 years.

Desired outcome: I would like kitchenaid to supply all replacement parts needed for the repair free of charge and have a qualified service technician install them free of charge.

I know it may not be what you want to hear but Whirlpool makes a great line of appliances under the KitchenAid brand. You were not wrong in selecting Kitchenaid branded appliances.

There was a day when one might expect twenty to thirty years or of a refrigerator; that was when compressors were built considerably larger. They'd use more energy but have longer lifespans. They're now more energy efficient but don't have near the longevity. The average is actually somewhere between seven to ten years.

Thankfully you'll find many retailers offer extended service programs that are well backed and relatively inexpensive. Before doing anything further, contact your retailer. You may be surprised to find out you're not out a thing. A good retailer isn't there to just sell you the item but help you in this actual circumstance.

KitchenAid Kitchenaid Gas Stove Model #KFGD500ESS04

Purchased from The Home Depot in 2018 and professionally installed. Only 3 years later the ovens stopped working after using self clean. It required a service call and parts replaced, no help from KitchenAid. I had to pay for it all. Only a week later, the lower oven wouldn't completely close, leaving the light on and not heating up. Again, it required another service call and the bottom oven door hinges need to be replaced, no help from KitchenAid. I have to pay for it all again. I am very disappointed that such an expensive appliance can't even last 3 years and that KitchenAid's warranty won't cover any costs.

Desired outcome: I would like for KitchenAid to reimburse the service costs for labor, parts, etc.

KitchenAid Kitchen aid refrigerator model #krff507hps02

We had this new refrigerator delivered September 2021. Since day one it started making a knocking noise all day long, everyday. It stops at some point through out the day but it is very consistent. It does not only happen when the compressor starts etc. It is loud and actually quite embarrassing when I have company over. Company question how a new , beautiful refrigerator can make such a noise and are very surprised it has not been fixed after multiple visits by different repair people.

A new part has been installed unnecessary as the one repair person thought it was not defrosting properly. but that did not help. Noise deadening putty was added and that did not help. Your customer care people tell me that the master technician said it is normal operating noise. That is not even slightly believable. Why would a company make a product that would make a consistent loud knocking noise? that makes no sense at all,and we have never had this issue with any appliances. I am very tired of being patronised by your staff members. The noise is unacceptable. We have 4 other Kitchen aid appliances we love but would have never purchased this refrigerator if we had known it would have this issue. I have videos to show the noise, logs of the noise it makes through out the day . Please contact me if you want more logs/ videos.

Desired outcome: I would like the refrigerator either fixed properly or a new one provided. I am very tired of having service people in my home during a pandemic that are unable to assist with this issue.

I purchased this same - model # KRFF 507HPS 02

This appliance is horribly loud. The sounds are crackling and popping (almost hammer like). I have not paid a technician to come out because like the complaint above i will be chrged and told it is normal. If this is normal, your product stinks.

I would like to return it for a full refund. I would accept a comparable 27.5 cu in be installed that does not make noise like this junk.

KitchenAid Ice cream scooper

We just bought an ice cream scooper, and it doesn't scoop anything anymore. We might as well use a spoon now. We were so disappointed! Kitchen Aid had become part of our household because we trust it to be worthy of the quality it offers. We probably got a faulty one and I'd appreciate if you would send us a new one.

KitchenAid Refrigerator KRMF706EBS01

Our refrigerator is not even 2 years old and it went out in November. We purchased a 5 year extended warranty. Warranty company thru Lowes A&E Factory Service was scheduled to come 2 weeks after frig went out. Then the tech never showed and we didn't get a call until late afternoon after waiting all day. Then another 2 weeks later the tech came and said he couldn't do anything until board? had been delivered. Another 2weeks and park was delivered X2 and one was defective and he put the other part in and it worked one day and went out again. Lowes has sent 300. for food lose and is sending check for fridge which is great buy doesn't replace the time and frustration of a faulty refrigerator that cost 4 grand! We want answers on why such an expensive refrigerator is irrepairable!? This is what I received from lowes>

KitchenAid ksm150wpcu stand mixer

Purchased this unit a year ago. Thought it was a learning curve from my old one. After having the head fall on my hand, smashing it against the bowl numerous times in the past month, I'm done. I contacted KitchenAid who told me that the head not having a locking UP feature is not a safety issue. If the beater is loaded with a stiff cookie dough, the weight counter acts the mixer head not allowing you to remove the beater without it falling. Scraping the beater is out of the question, the head again falls to the DOWN position. There is also a pinch point where the mixer meets the head.
I asked KithcenAid to possible have them assist in a different replacement mixer, they offered to replace the bowl only, due to sharp edges.

Your web site can't find my model number and says "Pleas enter a valid model number". However, I'm obtaining the model number directly from the refrigerator.

Also, after a long time on hold, your parts dept hung up on my wife.

All we are trying to do is to get someone at KitchenAid to acknowledge our existence and to talk with us so we can get our water filter replaced.

KitchenAid Dishwasher

Plastic retainer clips on the rack adjuster -- both sides -- broke within a couple months of one another. Dishwasher is only a few years old. There was no pressure on the racks, unduly heavy loads, etc. The clips both just sheered off. Looking at the construction, it is evident to me that the diameter of the plastic is simply not thick enough to carry the loads involved over time. Cost me over $50 on each side. In my opinion, there should be compensation or a recall notice put on on the adjusters. Expected much more from a premium product like KitchenAid. Previously had a GE dishwasher that lasted for about ten years without needing any repairs.

micowaive bougth from Toms applance chatham back in 2018 along with two ovens, dishwasher, microwaive gas top stove and fridge.
Dec 14, 2021 in the afternoon warming a cup of water for tea as usual it blue up at the inside top of the microwave, causing a fire which was immedialty put out. this is a mfg defect and should be replaced since it was ony 3 years old, In all the microwave we purchased this has never happen, It is costing us $849 plus tax along with sevice to replace.
if nothing is done i plan on going to the better business bureau and complain on the internet the faulty product we were sold

KitchenAid Model # LKBSD602ESS01, S/N K74321591

One light in the frig stopped working, I replaced it and all the lights were working. Then the freezer lights all went out. I called a local appliance repair company (been doing business around here for years) and he find the wiring diagrams and traced the trouble to a circuit component. He ordered it and came back out to install. This did not work. He said, it's bigger problem and that KitchenAid needs to figure it out. I have an appointment next week. The unit was installed Dec. 2020..it's not far out of warranty.
What is my recourse?

Desired outcome: For the lights to be repaired at no charge.

Kitchenaid uses local service technics which are authorized to service kitchenaid branded products. From your description, it sounds as if the repair company was not authorized and the service person recommended contacting someone who was. Contact [protected].

Contact the retailer you've purchased the refrigerator through. Many offer additional service programs that may cover the cost of what you're dealing with.

KitchenAid Red kettle

i've purchased kettle and toaster before lock down from David Jones in Westfield Doncaster, from first days the kettle started to paly up means when I pressed button to start didn't work either stocked in 100 or when it showed as cold water temperature didn't start I had to press it few times.
unfortunately it was multiple lock down in Melbourne even when they opened for short time it was click and collect, therefore I didn't have a chance to take it back at the moment new problem started when I press push the bottom start but stopes half way I try again goes only few degrees stops again, also the open the lid is challenging from day one I've to press few time until finds the correct spot sometime I give up and fill the water through nozzle, unlike the toaster which I'm very happy the kettle is absolutely rubbish, could someone replies and guides me what to do as I've paid a good money, I'm attaching the photo of products, I've purchased them as they looked nice and I already had Kitchen Aid mixer and I've trusted the brand, many thanks in advance for your consideration.

KitchenAid Repair and parts availability, replacement

Our KitchenAid refrigerator stopped working after a power surge in our neighborhood. We contacted Whirlpool/KitchenAid directly as the unit was barely 18 months old. Customer service sent a repairman a week later and he said he would order parts. After 2 more months and repeated communications about not knowing WHEN parts would be available, I called Customer Service back to complain. I was on hold for 50 minutes. There is not chat or email contact with Whirlpool/KitchenAid. You wait on hold or you abandon it entirely.

The customer service rep told me on the phone that Whirlpool would replace it for $800. I said that sounded unreasonable considering we were supposed to have it fixed at no cost and had been waiting on parts for over 2 months. I also pointed out that the refrigerator was a $4600 unit and this brought the cost of it to well over $5000.

The price then went to $500 instead for delivery, set up and replacement. She said the offer was good for 14 days, to call back and let them know what we wanted to do. Two days later and 46 minutes on hold after I conceded we must pay the fee, the $500 was payable immediately by credit card. I was told the replacement would be built and delivered within 3-4 weeks.

If Whirlpool/KitchenAid can build me a new refrigerator, they have parts. Why didn't they send the part we need to their repair contractor? Instead KitchenAid compelled me to pay them another $500 and wait an additional month to get a replacement. Worst customer service EVER and I feel like I have been scammed.

Desired outcome: Refund the $500, deliver a replacement. Honor repair: company has parts.

KRFF305ESS Refrigerator does not stay cool. We purchased the fridge in August of 2018. It has since stopped staying cool. Now all of our food has been moved to the trusty garage fridge (not a Kitchenaid) while we hope to resolve this by Thanksgiving. So far we have cleaned the coils and reset the fridge by turning it off for 5 mins. None of this has helped. The documentation on troubleshooting is non-existent. Please help!

KitchenAid Refrigerator KRFC704FSS00

Purchased French door refrigerator on 11/21/21, Noticed cracking on the interior liner in mid October. Contacted NSI who advised they are unable to cover this issue, Contacted KitchenAid and they advised to have appliance repair company come out and document cracking. Lake Appliance came out took pictures and submitted pictures and report to KitchenAid. They called back and advised that the manufacturer would not cover the repair. High end appliance with interior cracking appears to be a problematic issue.
