Me and my Partner have been smoking Sterling Superkings for a number of years and have always been very happy with our brand. Until 1 hour ago when my partner was smoking one and got 3/4 of the way through and then the cigarette crackled a little and exploded burning my partners nose and hand and even burning the laminate flooring we have down. It was only a minor burn but nothing serious, but this shook both of us up leaving us in serious doubt about ever smoking this brand again, just for info the serial on the outer packaging is 5 [protected] and the serial on the box was 5014 3771 Gavin

I am fuming mad to have found several times now that I have purchased a pack of Sterling cigarettes expecting 18 only to find 17. As a visitor to the UK this is a costly item to me given my country's terribly poor exchange rate and I find it totally but totally unacceptable. Something needs to be sorted out as surely this is not legal? Purchased in Ashton Under Lyne and Greenwich. Really angry now. Who or how do I get hold of the low life responsible?

I purchased a pack of fresh burst and I know they are meant to have 19 in the pack but upon opening them today I discovered I only had 16 in. I called back at the store I bought them from to be told I had to contact the supplier they could not do anything. Very disappointed they should have changed my packet

I bought what I thought was a packet of 20 cigarettes only to find out when I got home there was only 18 in the packet. I paid over £7.50 for this product and I feel I have been ripped off there was no mention of there being only 18 when I bought them or them costing any less.
I would like to know how you can treat your customers like this because we won't be customers any longer if we keep getting ripped off.

I'm really not happy with the fact that I pay over 6 pound for 20 sterling and end up getting 18. It hasn't been advised anywhere that you will be changing these and taking 2 cigarettes for the box you will lose alot of custome over this me for one. Won't be buying sterling no more.

I bought a pack of 20 sterling blue superkings from Tescos to find they was only 18 in the pack and they was nothing on the box to state they would only be 18 in we pay high prices in this country and dont expect to be robbed of the product so please can you sort this out for me

My mum and I have been smoking Sterling for many years now. My first complaint is I bought a pack a couple weeks ago to find there was only 18 cigarettes in the pack. I don't think that's right considering the price we are having to pay and it was not clearly advertised.
My second complaint is I bought a Multipack of 100 (95) a few days ago from my local Waitrose. They are the most stale cigarettes I have ever come across. I could not smoke them and now they are sitting in my cupboard and I have wasted a lot of money on them.. I looked for an address so I could send in one of the stale cigarettes in hopes I could get some kind of money off voucher, but failed in finding one.
Sterling, you have a lot of unhappy customers out here. You need to start listening to us as we are the ones that fund your pay checks!

I have smoked sterling for 8 years now and last night I bought a pack opened them and noticed the pack didnt look full it had spaces so I counted them and there was only 17 cigarettes in the packed but yet I paid full price for them, I think this is disgusting, it should at least state how many cigs are in the packet and reduce the price if its not gunna be a full packet. Regarding cigarettes that used to be 20 in a packet then down to 19 and now today I purchased a packet that cost £7.46 only containing 18 cigarettes when it's meant to be 20. I'm not one bit pleased can you give me an explanation for this or less I will no longer by sterling.

I have been smoking Sterling Blue for sometime now, having changed from the more expensive Silk cut. It didn't take long to discover I was only paying for 19 cigarettes instead of 20. However, to my amazement this morning I discovered that I am only getting 18 in the packet and you have omitted to put the contents number on the box. What is gong on? Apart from anything else, this could be seen as unfair trading, or false advertising.
Do you really want us to stop buying your products so badly or to change to another brand. If just let us know.
On a slightly different note, why can't I buy a packet of 10 Sterling Blue in my local Co-op, do you not make them for everyone.

I want to say that it is bad enough that we have to pay for 20 cigarettes and get 19 in a packet. I have bought to packs of 19 and inside they both have only 18 in them. If i send the contents back to sterling, how do i prove there was only 18 in there. I am not happy about this and am considering changing my cigarettes as they cost enough and it is not except able to sell a product with part of the content missing.

My wife and I have been smoking sterling for years now and over time I have noticed the packs have went from 20 down to 19 I went to buy my usual now 38 only to get home to discover the packs are down to 18 yet I am still paying full price which in this day and age to pay the good side of £8 for a packet of cigarettes is rediculous can someone please give me a reason behind this surely if they want us to stop this badly then they would make smoking illegal if anyone can provide me with an explanation to this my email address is [protected]@hotmail.co. I have bought 2x19 packet of cigerette Tuesday and whilst smoking I have noticed that I have had 8 cigerette that do not contain the frets taste ball. This is not how the product is sold. The cigerette are harsh and I only smoke menthol cigerette.
At the cost of cigerette this is a fault, I would like to know what you are going to do about it ASAP.

I recently bought a pack of Sterling Fresh Taste and they tasted of lemon cleaner instead of menthol. After the 4th cigarette I decided to stop popping them. I have been buying Sterling Fresh Taste for over a year and I'm really disappointed that I've wasted my money and now dont really want to buy another pack, meaning I will have to spend £10 for a pack of Marlborough instead!

recently bought a 19 deck of sterling fresh taste. The first cigarette from the pack tasted a bit odd, but I didnt suspect anything, blaming it on myself. Having another few cigarettes, found out that they didn't have a menthol ball click and tasted very harsh. I'm not happy about this since I am a loyal consumer and would like my money's worth.

i always buy sterling super kings but recently the last four or five packs have been awful i dont seem to taste them they feel like i am smoking fresh air and also a couple of them have had big pieces of baccy in them like bits of wood if this problem persists i wil change brands

I have brought a pack of 10 of sterling fresh taste from my local tesco and I come to thelast few n they seem to have no mental ball in them and very harsh when smoking them I buy fresh taste all the tym I buy 60 a time aka 57 cigarettes. I am very upset that I am not getting good quality for the price I am paying. If this happens agen I will be changing brands n get better got my money

Hi, I recently bought 10 sterling cigs from an Asda store, I opened the packet and pulled out a cigarette to find that there was a slit down the side of it. There was no damage to the packaging or any other cigarettes in the packet.

When I went my local waitrose to buy 20 menthol cigarettes i ordered 20 sterling as I have smoked this brand for years. When I got them home I noticed that it had 19 written on the pack. What an absolute cheek. When you buy 10 cigarettes you don't end up with 9 so why have you thieving b*stards pinched one out if the 20's? As if cigarettes aren't expensive enough. You should be done with fraud/Mis-selling as I asked for 20 but got 19 without being warned by the shop assistant.

Yesterday Sunday 7th December 2014 my husband bought both himself and me 19 superkings smooth. We both found them quite a lot stronger than normal.
We have both been smoking smooth now for sometime with no problem but these made us both cough quite barely.
