On 10/8/25, I made a reservation for the Anderson, SC location. I then, with rep on the phone, while being recorded asked me to send the proper documentation prior to check-in. Service Dog ID card, Vacc. records, and Physician Statement stating that I had Mental Disabilities & was recommended having a Service Dog, to enable my "independence" was recommended & therefore prescribed. I checked in on 10/9/25, again providing hard copies required for a Service Dog, and signed a Service Dog agreement with them. I had no issue at that time. On 10/22/25, a new Manager asked for me to e-mail them the Paperwork that I had for the dog, and I complied once again. On 10/24/25 the same new Manager stated that "she" had Googled my Physicians letter, and said it was "fraudulent". That's completely false. I contacted my doctor immediately, and she provided me with another letter, dated 10/24/25, and put it in my MyChart- personal medical records file app. The individual behind the desk, began yelling at me, while I was recording the conversation. I stated to them that I had Mental Disabilities and was allowed by law to have a service animal. The employee then asked to see the letter in my MyChart personal medical records app. I opened the app, and pulled the Physician Statement. The employee read just above the letter, where it lists my diagnosis etc, and yelled out an HIV status, which was listed just above that letter in my chart, while there were a total of 3 other "guests" in the lobby. I was horrified, because everyone there heard it. I tried to compose myself, and not cry. I was then informed that I had "broken the guests rules by having an un-documented Service Dog, and would have 1 hour to vacate the premises, and would not be given back the 9 or 10 day "credit" that I had on my account for violating the rules, and was then placed on Trespass notice. I lost all of the groceries of $252.51 (receipt dated that day, 10/24 for purchase) I lost my groceries, not just because I was given just an hour to pack/leave, but couldn't find anywhere that had a fridge..so they spoiled. I had a $314.48 credit, in which I wasn't issued a refund. I am so embarrassed and upset, and ashamed of the way my Service Dog, myself, and my friend were treated by this individual at your establishment. We were very hurt and disappointed.
Claimed loss: $359.64 in positive credit that we were NOT refunded. $252.51 with receipt for groceries the day we were thrown out. Total $612.15 in provable losses, with receipts.
Desired outcome: I believe there needs to be a specific session while training new employees, and perhaps existing ones, on Service Dogs and how they help the disabled. I'm also requesting for the No Trespass notice to be removed
