I used the service once, and have been getting billed on a monthly basis. When I try to cancel, I can't get in, the site does not recognize my email--thus can't give me the password to cancel--and the telephone number for customer service is unavailable...I've sent an email, to see if they actually respond.

Intellius made an unauthorized charge of $19.95 to my credit card under the claim that it's a subscription fee. I made no such subscriptions and want my money back immediately.

I was billed for a subscription I did not order on my credit card this month in the amount of $19.95.
Kindly remove it. Currently I am undergoing a change of Debit Cards due to just this sort of
nonsense that seems to be the norm as of late.

I will also notify my Credit Card company of this notification to you.
Thanks so much and kindest regards,

c.s.

I made a purchase of information from Intellius and have found that the company is now billing me $19.95 per month for a security/identity protection subscription I did not order. I used a bank debit card to make the purchase for the initial information. Intellius sure protected my identity and assets okay: they accessed my banking information to make fraudulent charges.

I purchased a service on Intellius for a small fee. It is a people search company. Intellius, hidden in the fine print somewhere, added on a 19.95 per month service from a company called 24 Protect Plus. My credit card started showing 19.95 reoccurring charge from 24 Protect Plus because of Intellius. An illegal add-on.

I authorized a one time charge of $.99 to find a phone number. Now My bank account s being charged 19.95 a month. I do plan to take this to the highest level I can. just to get my money back. I don't care how much it costs, its a matter of principal now. I have already asked them to stop. Sounds like fraud to me!

If you try to use Intellius for finding a person, or a phone number, or an address for someone, you have to buy each report individually. Then somehow, someway you get signed up for a 'membership' which means $19.95 per month. Then somehow they give your name to a company called Valuemax and they also charge $19.95 per month to your card for absolutely no goods or services from either company. It is a pure scam. These people are criminals.

About a month ago I paid $0.99 for a number search from Intellius. When I agreed to pay the $0.99 it clearly stated that I would only be charged that amount and what the charge would show up as on my card. Now I have a charge of $19.95 showing up on my statement for some sort of ID protect. This is not the amount quoted to me? I see that there are a numerous amount of complaints about this company and this scam it appears to be running. With enough light brought to this situation maybe others will be warned and us who have been "scammed" be refunded our money!

SCAM! Intellus is obviously a scam. As are any companies they are working with...Read up on the news sites! Someone should place the name of the law firm or firms that are filing a class action lawsuit on them on this site, so these 400plus people can file and force them out of business now. They are trying to continue this as long as they can to get as much money as they can before moving on to another scam! However, look at the site...they are advertising this scam company (intellius) on this site...uhm...makes you wonder?! So be careful about any place or person even someone who advertises as if they would like to help. Check them all out before responding! Do not place your personal information or send/supply it to anyone!

When u pay for a report, you have the option of getting a discounted price. Either you join the monitoring service for 19.95 per month, or you become a club member for 9.95 per year. It depends on how you order your report. If you ask for the .99 cent one, that m, eans your agreeing to join the club for 19.95 a month. You really have to read the fine print to not get taken for a ride.
I find /link removed/ to be one of the best consumer warning sites around. Before I PURCHASE ANYTHING OR JOIN ANY MEMBERSHIP OR CLUB I research it there 1st. This website allows you to file complaints or simply read them. You will get suggestions in how to fight or battle these companies to get your money back but, it is also helpful to make a decision regarding online purchases before hand.
So, I WOULD SUGGEST TRYING THERE - you might get good advice and good results. I was taken by a company many many years ago that robbed scamed people left and right, even after theyy shut down, changed their name and address and phone number I was able to track them down thuh help from /link removed/ only did I get every cent back that had been stolen from my bank account, but I got a letter apology from the company and they paid iintereest n the one that was stlen al related bank fees, reeimbursement for faxes and stamps to fight them EVERYTHING. I even charged them for my cigarettes because I was so stressed at losing everything that I started smoking again, and then I made them pay for 1 year of chantix so I could quit smoking afterwards. AGAIN.
So, I wish you the best of luck - Ive used INTELLIUS a while now, but I don't take the club or the monitoring offer, just pay the regular price and am done with it.
