Back in May 2022 I had placed an order for the tanning serum and they sent a bunch of products to try and then send back what I did not like I sent back almost all the samples. A few weeks went by and I got a notification I had some kind of a subscription which at the time I had also never approved but I contacted them to cancel. Everything was fine and then 6 months later on Nov 4th I got a knock on the door from my mail lady saying I owed postage of *** for a package. I stupidly paid for it, as Im pregnant and have been getting gifts from my family. When I opened the package it was products from IL Makiage. I was extremely confused because I had not placed an order. When I searched my email to figure out what was going on, I saw a email in my spam inbox saying I had a new subscription. Then I checked my bank and there was a charge for over $80.00. I was blown away, I never authorized the subscription I never created an online account, and when I contacted them they told me I had to login and cancel the subscription but its a catch 22 because I dont have an account and cant login. I have no idea why they thought it would be okay to create a new fraudulent subscription and charge my account. All the complaints are the same, and it does not seem like this company is doing anything about it so scummy and gross bad business, I dont even know how this is legal. I want a refund for what they charged my card and the shipping I had to pay. I also want all my information erased from ILMAKIAGE data base. I also want a shipping return label as I DONT want the product!

I don't know all the info because I can't login to their website. It says I don't have an account. I have alot of emails back and forth with this company. I ordered a trial of their makeup for ***. You have 14 days to return. I wrote them and explained I have covid. They sent me a new return label( that is faulty) and said they would give me another 14 days. They would not charge me the additional $125 and if it went through they would credit me. I still have covid. I am incredibly sick. I sent my mother to the post office twice and they said that label the company sent me is invalid and illegible. I thought maybe it was the printer, but I looked at the original copy they sent me and it was invalid all along. They planned on me not being able to return it and taking my money. Nobody is replying to any of my emails since I wrote about post office rejecting their label. I can't get access to an account on their website because qhen I put in my email it acts like I am setting up a new account. I don't even know if they are going to steal more money from me. I do NOT like their makeup. I need my money back and I need to know if my account is compromised in the future. The fact that they are not replying to my emails and that they sent me an invalid shipping label is very, very suspect. I need help. Please. On top of this, I am still extremely sick with covid. Over 5 weeks now. I do NOT need this stress. I am also a cancer patient and have a horrible immune system. I desperately need your help reaching your company. They have my bank card. I am scared to death. Thank you.

I saw an advertisement about Il Makiage , to try and find your perfect shade for your free trial of 14 days . I paid the $9.08 for the shipping or the taxes . I checked my bank and it took $12.66 at first then it took another $121.79 out of MY bank account . Knowing that I have plans and I need that money to pay some of my bills they took it and my order already was in progress . I was trying to cancel it to see if I could have my money back and not have it delivered to my home and I have to return which puts more pressure into my life . I tried to emailed them and they notified me that they would answer back after 24 hrs and its been more than 24 hrs and im trying to gain my money back . There shouldnt be pre paid authorization after the order went through they should advise their customers before hands and not afterwards. Its just messed up all my plans because I cannot even contact them so I could get my money back . 1-4 business so my money could return but its been three days now and I need that money for exactly tomorrow. So Id like my money as soon as possible and thank you .
I have been trying to get this company to respond. I am trying to return their product. It does not match and breaks out my skin. It was a 14 day trial and if I did not want return the product with out charge. I cannot get them to respond to me to return and DO NOT want to be charged for product. Every time I try I get the message that at this time they cannot process my request.
On January 5, 2022, I placed a free Try Before You Buy order (***) with IL Makiage from an ad I saw. I wanted to try their tanning product. The ad promised a free full sized product with no strings attached. I just had to pay $5 shipping which was fine. However, I checked my bank account later that day to see how much money I had to get food, and $63.71 was missing, with IL Makiage attached to the charge. I did not authorize this charge, nor did I have the money to allow that to happen. I called my bank and then tried to get in contact with IL Makiage, and they claimed it was clear in the website that I would be charged full price (it was not.) I am very upset and my money has not yet been returned. The representative I was emailing with from the company stopped responding. I need this money back asap. I do not have the funds to keep this going. It has been more than four days and the hold is still not off my account.
Make up company Il Makiage has provided fake phone numbers and artificial emails. There is no way to reach a person in this company although they allow people to think there is.I have tried night and day to reach anyone in the company, including using social media, and have had no luck. They have placed a hold on my checking account and I cannot use my funds. I was led to believe I could purchase a sample of make up with no obligation and would only be charged less then $6 for shipping. When I discovered they began a pending transaction in my checking account for the full amount of the products, I immediately tried to cancel my order. I could not afford and would never agree to having more then 20 times the shipping cost held until I received, and then returned the product. Phone numbers provided to the bank and the credit card company are also fraudulent. Please help me and others who were led to believe we were contacting a caring and responsible business.

I started the 14 day free trial on 1-*-21 was told only be changed 5$ shipping and handling soon as I confirmed my order it told me about the pre- authentication hold said it could or could not be applied well it was applied they took $134 out of my account I immediately emy them stating I would of never placed that order if I knew they did that They replied few hours later apologizing for the misunderstanding and I would hate to lose me as a customer so they offered me a $50 credit to my account and insured me that my money would be returned and one to four business days I thanked them for the credit and apologize for my rudeness I told them I just need to be patient and I understood why the hold 4 days late I get a email saying they were sorry that I had not received my order yet and that deliveries were slow and out of their hands but they offered me a $20 ecard from my account the same day of this email I got my makeup there was no problem with my delivery the only problem I'm having is in replacing my $134 back on my card that I still have not received they no longer reply to my emails this is absolutely ridiculous that a company that's been in business for 48 years would do this to people well maybe that's how they make their money but it's pretty damn sad that a company but that much money praise on people that work their *** off for their money just so they can take it I would never have placed that order I was trying to treat myself and this is what I got screwed out of 134 bucks I haven't even opened the makeup I've had it for over a day I would just like my money replaced thank you

This is a FRAUD! I was totally ripped off on January 3rd of this year. I made what was supposed to be a trial purchase on their website for only $25, but my card was charged a whopping $145.32 and an additional $9.28 IMMEDIATELY! No confirmation was even sent to me. I contacted their so-called "support," and all they had to say was that my order had already been shipped. I asked for a tracking number and was met with silence. When I asked for a refund, they told me I'd have to wait until I received their product. I immediately asked for a return label and never got a response. I even reached out to their CEO and co-founder, but no one bothered to get back to me. I have no idea if I'll even see a refund, but I'm warning my bank about the possibility of recurrent transactions, also known as a subscription to this fraudulent company.

Placed an order on 1/5/23 for the foundation trial. Was charged $5.90 for shipping. Thats ok. Placed another order for some scrub and eyebrow pencil was charged $89.49 that is also ok. BUT was charged an extra $89.49 and $64.04. Neither of those charges are pending and I have only made the two purchases. So they overcharged me $153.53 and that amount has cleared my account along with the original two purchase amounts. Again, these are not pending. They have cleared the account. Want to cancel everything! I want all my money back. I do not want the products anymore. I do not want IlMakiage to have my credit card information. I do not want the subscription.
I found Il Makiage on Instagram and gave them a try. I signed up for the free 14 day trial and understood that once the deadline passed I would charged for the order. Once I received my order I decided I enjoyed the product and would like to keep it, however I opted out of the recurring subscription. Time goes by and the deadline to return the product passes and I am waiting to be charged. I reach out to their customer service line so I can make sure they remember to charge me. They let me know my trial ends on 12/14 and then I will be charged. More time passes and the haven't charged me still. My bank account did not show a pending charge for the items either. Then on Jan 3, almost 3 weeks later they charge me. Thats is unacceptable. I reached out to them and they give me excuses saying the can't access billing. Then how is your company functioning? I had the balance for them on the specified time as I do any other bill. Charging me 3 weeks later is unacceptable and the sent me into the negatives. I want my money back. I'll even send back what I have left of the product. They also should have to warn *** who purchases from them that they won't charge you when they say.
I ordered the free trial "try before you buy" makeup on January 2, 2022. They said they would only charge me shipping and a pre-authorization charge, which they insist isn't actually money being taken, it's just a hold. Well it's not "just a hold," as I have $81 and some change missing from my account and it's causing a couple bills I have due to not be able to get paid because of this charge. I've contacted them three times with no response. At this point, I just want all of my money back, I don't care about the product.

They charged an expired debit card on November 14, 2022 and claimed they refunded the order on November 18, 2022, but the refund never materialized. I've emailed them multiple times, yet they persistently direct me to contact my bank for resolution. Despite speaking to my bank, I have confirmed that I never received the refund.
This company signs you up for auto renewal without asking. I have three times been charged for makeup I did not purchase. There is no way to cancel it on the website, and when I *** it, it says you can cancel with the order confirmation email you should receive when a purchase is made. I have NOT ever received email confirmations about these orders and have tried on multiple occasions to have this cancelled. I used to like this line of makeup until they started to do this! I want my money back immediately and to REMOVE my credit card from the account which they will not allow me to do! The fact they do not give you an option to cancel something you never signed up for to begin with, is shady! I want a refund immediately!
About order ***:I made a Try Before You Buy order from Il Makiage and I was only supposed to be billed $5. I purchased the trial. I did not like the trial contacted the company about returning the product. I then said I would send back the product and they asked me what was wrong. I told them I didnt like the shades, the product didnt cover on my face, and I found it to be sticky and highlighted the fine lines and wrinkles as opposed to softening them. They told me that they would send me out a different shade. I specifically said I did not want a replacement, I just wanted to get rid of what I originally received. What I was told by a representative named *** was that they would cancel any future shipments and not to worry about the products. Ive been received a shipment of new shades. I contacted them and said I had not asked for these, I specifically said I did not want them, and I said I would never use their product. I was again told by *** that was a mistake sorry about that. I did received three charges. One for $73.53, One for $52.98, And one for $48.66. I contacted them and said why was I charged for something I had a canceled, be sent back, and three specifically asked not to have replacements. I was told not to worry it would be taken care of. And then I received this note:After carefully checking, I see that the charges were from your out-of-trial products from order xxxxxxxxx. The $52.98 was from the primer, the $48.66 was from your second shade of foundation, and $73.53 was from your spoiled child order. I sent back the spoiled child, I specifically asked not to have a second shade of foundation sent but they did anyway, and I returned the primer. Now theyre telling me I did none of those things and theyre charging me for them. I want my money back because this is fraud!

There seemed to be an error with my email address and was unable to rectify with customer service so I was unable to track history and dates. As we are in the midst of a pandemic I was advised there would be a delay however I had noticed the first charge on my financial statement on May , for $14.86 (what I assume is shipping) and $115.60 (full amount of the order). I was told this was a "floating charge and would be reversed. On May , there was a reversal of $115.60. I had received the order June ***, again, I understand there would be delays and shipped the order back with the company's shipping label on June ***. I would hope I would be granted the same courtesy of the delays in shipping. Had the company checked the shipping label they would know it was on it's way. I had offered to send via Fedex knowing that the shipment would arrive earlier than Canada Post. I was swayed not to use my own courier as they would not be held liable. Now on June , which reflects on June *** there was another charge of $111.90. I had asked Il Makiage customer service if I would be charged and was advised not if it was dropped prior to the trial ending - this was not the case. I would like the company to refund me the additional charge and delete my financial information> This company should not take the liberty to dip into consumer's banking/credit cards, "floating charges" or not. This is not right, especially if you were told in writing as long as the products were dropped off you will not be charged. It is not right that they do not have a phone number to contact customer service either. Reading similar comments, how is this company allowed to do this?

On 2/14/22 I received my IL Makiage order but had to return it due to mismatched shades
On 2/14/22 I received my products from IL Makiage. The foundation shade made me look like the orange characters from the movie 'Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory'. On 2/15/22 I returned ALL of the products. On 2/17/22, to find my correct shade, I took a picture in natural light, answered some questions, and emailed it to IL Makiage. On 3/6/22, a customer service team lead emailed me, inquiring about my satisfaction. I explained the steps I took on 2/17/22 and mentioned not receiving a response, so I decided to try another company. Unexpectedly, on 3/7/22, I noticed a charge of $86.01 on my account. Upon inquiry, I was told it was for the 'I'M FLAWLESS' Power Cream Recharge, which is priced at $49 on their site. However, I had returned everything on Feb. 15, 2022. The charge appeared 21 days post-return, which seemed spiteful. After sending a copy of my return receipt, I was assured of a full refund. They mentioned it might take a few business days to reflect in my account, depending on my bank. On 3/9/22, I received only a partial refund of $37.63. I can't understand why it wasn't the full amount. IL MAKIAGE owes me $48.38, and I demand my money. The 10-day wait ended on 3/21/22. THIS IS CRAZY!

I Emailed them and said it hasn't been 14 days of my trial period yet. If this is how you do business than CANCIL, UNSUBSCRIBE me from your Email list immediately.I explained that I am allergic to their product. They then sent me another shade#*** which I again said no I don't want your foundation please don't send me anything. CANCIL,CANCIL AND UNSUBSCRIBE me from your Email list and STOP my Account, don't contact me again. I then received the 2nd shipment and went straight to the post office and asked them what can I do with this issue. The postman told me that I can refuse the package and he sent it back for me. I then called my Bank to cancil my *** debit card and fed Express a new card to me. I told my Bank to refuse any and all charges from ilmakiage. Then I found a new charge from ilmakiage on July 22nd for $48.72 for a product I do not have or want. I went into my Bank and spoke to a Supervisor. She found that ilmakiage used my information and my old *** card number that was canceled to open up a False Account with Digital Wallet to charge me $48.72. This is fraudulent and should be illegal. I blocked their Emails, tried to call the phone number in *** and it's a false phone number. They are still harassing me now through Spam Emails. Can you please help me STOP them? If anyone sees their Comercials please don't try this product.

It started May 15, 2022. I saw many ads about their matching foundation. So I wanted to try it, bc Im getting older& dont wear face makeup bc of aging skin. It shows fine lines more. They sent me their product, along w/4 other products I did not order. 1 was a very nice free make up brush, a skin primer, 1 mascara, 1 eye liner, and foundation that I ordered. I was not to be charged for 14 days after receiving said product ( foundation). I was charged that same day. 14 days later, I was charged an additional $149 fir the remaining 4 products, except the brush. They sent an email asking how I liked my foundation and free brush. I emailed back, that I did like it, but I did not order other products. They claimed that were complimentary. Needless to say, we were disputing back & forth. And since I didnt use any of the other products, I wanted to send them back fir a refund, but they said it was too late. This was 5 days into trial. I told them that, and they used a lame excuse like Id never get it back in time to them. I said Id pay fir overnight, bc its still cheaper then $230. They said it would take 10 days to process and charge a restocking fee. I said fine. Cancel this subscription. I never want another product again. The following month, I received another foundation ( Same color, but I was tan) and another mascara. They charged me $119. I disputed charges again. Every time I called( a lot) the message said no one available to take the call. That was *** Now, 3 months later, I was charged $50.53 today, and it out my bank account into insufficient funds. It resulted in my Hulu account charging me $35 + $22 and change. Im on a fixed income raising my 14 yr old granddaughter. IVE HAD ENOUGH! I contacted my bank & reported them. I placed an order with Il Makiage on 2/5/2022 for $50. This order arrived, but was the incorrect shade. Using the Il Makiage website, I attempted to return my order using the "create a return" button. This lead me through a process of answering questions about why the product did not work for me. At the end of this questionnaire, I reached a page (attached below) stating that I had initiated an "automatic exchange". The page also said "Relax - no need to return an automatic exchange product. The exchange has been placed automatically on your behalf." I checked my account to discover that a second order had automatically been placed for a fee of $45. At no point did I consent to this charge nor was I even able to review which product they were sending me. There was also no option to cancel the order.I immediately reached out to *** to find out what had happened and understand their return policy. The customer service rep confirmed that the return window had passed, but offered to send "a new replacement shade". I asked for confirmation several times that I would not be charged an additional fee for this replacement and they confirmed that "since you were already charged for the wrong shade, we will provide you with a 1-time courtesy free shade exchange."After several more emails to determine the right product for me, this customer service rep created yet another order in a different shade, without canceling the first order that was automatically generated by their website. They also signed me up for a product subscription without notifying me, which I had to cancel manually. I was charged for BOTH orders (a total of $90) despite multiple assurances that I would not be. Additionally, I had previously removed my credit card information from the Il Makiage website so that it would not be stored there. Somehow, they were still able to access this card information and place charges on the card.

By the time the trial arrived and the amount of shear stonewalling by this company acting like they own me have my card numbers they will not give me a return sticker to return this con job they force you into a reaccuring charge every month for $70.00 or more for a one ounce bottle of horrible makup! The color was a death color and it wasnt matte finish it was greasy. I emailed several emails asking for a return label and every time the website and the emails with a click here link did NOT WOrk. Upon calling several time I was laughed at. They said we will take the money out monthly until we get the box back! Yet they refuse to send a rma return postage paid sticker . I had to cancel my bank account get new cards and wait 10 days making all my bills late because this criminal company had no authority to own my money take power over my money and laugh and lie and stonewall me regarding the NON WORKING LINKS TO RETURN THIS CON GAME THEY REFUSE TO CANCEL ANY REACURRING G MONTHLY CHARGES Of $70.00 and they refuse to correct the color! Jun 15th I went to ILMAKAIGE website to order makeup. It clearly stated try before you buy. $5 shipping $.31 tax. When I tried to check out my card would not process the payment. It was late evening So I figured I would call my bank the next day. When I talked to them I found my account had fraud alert on it and they had froze the account. My banker told me someone was trying to process a payment from a makeup company for $47.31. Which was not what the recipt said that I had agreed to and that the bank was agreeing to pay. The bank said someone kept trying repeatedly to push this payment through from 1:30am through 6:30am up to 9am which was when I called the bank. I tried to call a number that bank gave me from an attempted transaction - of course the number was disconnected. I left a message on their FB and I sent an email. Which I will attach. Basically the email stated that what happened above and I asked them to please cancel my account and to stop trying to process the payment. They asked me for my information and an order number which I told them I didn't have. I received another email today telling me that the pre-authorization is being processed and that the order will ship...WTH... DID YOU NOT UNDERSTAND WHEN DELETE AND CANCEL - I sent another email telling them CEASE and DESIST further attempts to process a payment. I dont want the product, your trying to *** for more then what you have stated on your web page (fraud), I'm contacting you to let you know I changed my mind before the purchase goes through and your gonna force me to buy - no I have legal rights. And according to their terms and conditions "You may cancel your online account with us at any time mailing us at *** " Which is what I did and they refuse to comply. I'm not asking for money - my bank will NOT process the charges - they can't. Stop trying to process payment, delete my account and remove my information from their website.

On December , I created an order for a concealer. FedEx lost my package, which I don't blame IL MAKIAGE for that. I contacted IL MAKIAGE and they created a new order for me on January *,. I usually receive a confirmation email of my package being shipped within about 3 days max of the date I place my orders. I contacted Customer Service advising them that I was concerned about my order since it's been well over 3 days since it was placed and I hadn't received a confirmation email of it being shipped. Customer Service responded saying to not worry, that they checked my order and it will be shipped shortly. A few days later I received an email stating that my order was deleted by the system. I decided to give it another shot on April *, which I purchased over One Hundred Dollars worth of make-up. Once again, I didn't receive a confirmation email stating that my order was shipped so I contacted Customer Service. I explained to them the previous issue that I had so I just wanted to make sure that it doesn't get cancelled again. Aizel R. responded saying that they checked my order and the items haven't been transferred to the courier's end, once it's been transferred I'll be notified. I responded saying thank you for checking and I understand there may be some delays. My main concern is for it to get deleted by the system and having to go through the hassel again. Aizel R. responded saying that they understand the inconvenience that this has caused me and that THEY HAVE CANCELED IT. I responded saying if they could please advise me why it was cancelled. Aizel R. responded that it may appear on my order history but it was already canceled and will not push thru. WHAT!? I responded saying I'm not sure if you're understanding my question. I'm not asking why it still shows in my order history. I'm asking why my order was canceled. I HAVEN'T GOTTEN AN ANSWER. I received an email from Jennifer C. asking me to rate my concealer match...I forwarded her my conversation with Customer Service and told her that I never got my concealer. NO ONE HAS REACHED OUT TO ME. I LOVE IL MAKIAGE, however after all these terrible experiences, I doubt I will ever shop with them again.

I received the Woke Up Like this foundation for a 14-day trial. One day after receipt, I was not happy with coverage and emailed their customer service indicating that I would be sending back so that I didn't get charged the full $44.00. I then got a reply within 2 minutes from Yanica M. giving me 2 options and asks me about coverage and shade matching. The second option was to send back and gave a link to print label. I replied to Yanica's questions and noted that the shade was fine but the coverage too light. I asked that if the coverage could be a bit better, then I would take her option 1 of sending me a new shade for trial -and that I wouldn't have to send the original back at no cost. NEVER RECEIVED a reply from Yanina M. or their customer service even though I had sent two messages regarding this to their ***. After sending a final email telling them that since I never received a reply and that I was shipping back my original 14-day trial order, all of the sudden get an email telling me I'm getting a new shade in the mail. I never confirmed this shipment or order and repeatedly asked for them not to send me anything via email due to their non responsiveness (they don't have a customer service number --they note it is only via email). I once again replied to their customer service vehemently to please NOT send me anything including that unauthorized last shipment and to cancel it. It's funny how when I accepted the original trial and they took my credit card info, I was bombarded with email after email (within minutes) on how Il Makiage wanted to help me, blah, blah. Yet, I was simply asking for confirmation if the shade could be better in coverage and nothing, no reply --not until I told them not to send anything and that I was returning the product. They never replied -not even to confirm or deny. Very shady and poor business practices in that they don't reply to questions and they go ahead and send things without confirmation. Very frustrating. Good gimmick on their part in getting honest customers hooked. Again, I've decided to completely send back my trial Woke Up Like This Foundation TODAY and will never do business with Il Makiage. After repeated emails, I never received a reply regarding my shade coverage question I did NOT confirm any new shipment.

Billed misleading and I want my money back! Two orders that were said to be “trials”! I was forced to pay an additional $5 to a company that cannot cancel my orders! I was told I would receive a call from IT that NEVER HAPPENED!

I hesitant to ordered and I just hold on, and then next hour, I erased and I wasn't sure so I email and say, If I ordered by chance pls cancel. I don't want the product , the next weex I received the package and I cannot contac, sent it many emails with no answer.
I ordered a try before you buy, and they charged me $80 upfront. Then instead of $76 price, they tell me it is $84. Mind you they charge you as soon as you place the order even if they said they will charge after the order is received.
I just want to cancel this order and future subscription/.
I started a trial offer, was overcharged 212.72. I was charged for the regular price and the trial price. I want my refund for all except the 1.08 for my trial. Or a full refund if that is how you operate

Today I ordered a trial which said i would be charged for shipping only and immediately a second charge for more than the product is valued at and i cannot reach customer service by their support line. It goes to a busy signal immediately. Im frustrated and need to know why i am being charged for an amount valued at more than quoted.

I’m so annoyed with this company! There’s no way to speak with someone about cancelling annual membership! They’re awful.

I wanted to try the product, so I proceeded to checkout. During the process, it was indicated that I could try the product for a trial period. However, upon checking my bank account, I discovered that $9.50 had been deducted, along with additional charges, bringing the total to $207.55. I am requesting a full refund due to what I believe is false advertising. The company did not disclose that the full amount would be charged upfront. The notification email about the charges being a hold only arrived after the funds had already been withdrawn from my account. I contacted the company immediately after receiving a notification from my bank, but their response, which came within minutes, stated that they could not cancel the transaction as it was already being processed. I want my $207.55 back. In the future, I would prefer to shop with Mac Cosmetics or Sephora, as my experience with IL Makiage has been very unsatisfactory.

I did the try-before-you-buy with Il Makiage in April 2022. I was unhappy with the product, issued refunds, but was instructed to keep it. Somehow, in September 2022, I was charged for auto-replenishment. I sent this package back, received a refund, and did what I could to ensure the subscription was cancelled. On January 5, 2023, I received an email that my card had been charged yet again for auto-replenishment. I emailed the company immediately, asking for help cancelling the order and ensuring I would never be charged again. It is six days later, and I have not received a response. I found a way to start a return on my own, and now that the package is here, I will be returning it unopened. I am unsure if this return is set up correctly because the website still gives me an option to "start a return" for this order. I want 1) my money back 2) all of my information and my account deleted permanently. After reading all the other reports here on Complaintsboard.com, I'm surprised IL Makiage feels like they can reply with "No scam here!" Really? There should not be this number of people having their credit cards charged without their knowledge, especially when they have already once before gone thru the process of requesting the subscription be cancelled. This is disturbing.
