New HP2852e printer worked okay until they shut it down because I did not purchase their Ink Subscription.
I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER HP PRODUCT AGAIN.
HP remotely shuts down all functions when you do not pay for an active subscription. Can't print, can't scan, can't copy. One year old device is worthless.
BEWARE OF UNFAIR BUSINESS PRACTICES. I have wasted two whole days fighting and still nothing. total bull crap!
Recommendation: Never buy HP, ever.
That is exactly my complaint - I bought what I thought was HP ink = same numbers, same color scheme, same everything. When I installed it shut my printer down - never again will I purchace HP and this one I currently have is going to the dump.b
Plus, you cannot get through the AI assistant to talk to a tech

I only cancelled my subscription to instant ink because they are no longer shipping to Hawaii. I've spent 2 days on the phone to India. the hp site sent me to just answers and they charged me 70.00 to tell me they couldn't help. the chat was like for 20 minutes. I don't print often. I had almost full ink cartridges and now can't use them. also, hp printers have security system where you have to use only hp cartridges. I should not be penalized for hp not going to full fill their obligations without notice. I'm done with hp. terrible customer service.
