Extremely bad experience dealing with Hilton in Harrisburg, PA. Booked through link provided by the hotel employee to our hockey team manager. Was supposed to stay for 3 nights. Due to flash flood warning, made it to the hotel at 8 am next day only to find out that my reservation was canceled due to non-show. I did not receive any calls, emails & the also told me that they sold my room and the hotel is now fully booked. I was out on the street for the weekend with my 5-year-old. The front desk clerk stated that it is their policy and I was supposed to know to call them and notify them. I checked emails and website and there is no such written policy. They charged me full amount that is non-refundable because of the team link we used. So they get to double-dip and steal from their customers and there is nothing we can do about it.
I called customer service and was bounced around the hotel and different reps, one of whom (Shanice) was extremely rude and laughed at me on the phone.
I am beyond disappointed with my experience with the booking and the customer service. I will go out of my way to never stay at Hilton again and ensure everyone I know does not either. Horrendous disrespectful customer service. Never again.
Recommendation: DO NOT BOOK WITH HILTON
