Hilton Hotels & Resorts review: Resort fee, managers reception, breakfast

First off, we would like to let you know the staff and hotel are awesome. We have stayed at this Embassy multiple times; however, we were very disappointed with our stay from Dec 25 to Dec 30th 2025 due to the mandatory resort fee and are considering other options for our next trip. We learned we could get compensated for food for $25.00 at the Outlook pool restaurant and the lobby coffee shop. We felt like we needed to get our money back but found very little menu choices and everything was extremely fattening. No choices for healthy options such as cooked vegetables. Only sides were fries and nacho chips. We thought “Oh we can go to Hand Cuts restaurant and get some sides” but the compensation could not be used at that restaurant. We also do not need high speed internet as our phones have internet. In the past, if you were a Hilton Honors member, you got free high-speed internet. I do not want to be forced to pay for something I don’t want. I would rather pay a higher rate and make my own choices.
Our first stay, the managers’ reception had lots of choices: deli meats, crackers, cheese spreads, deserts, cookies, multiple choices for fruit and vegetables. Our last few stays there is only nacho chips/dip, cheese cubes, vegetables and decorative dots of fruit and no crackers. There is a single round table where hundreds of people are trying to figure out how to get to the table. There really needs to be a second table as there is always a bottle neck. Also, need 2 toasters in the buffet as there is always a bottle neck at toaster during breakfast.
Perhaps management can consider the addition of a second table at managers reception, a second toaster at breakfast and eliminating the mandatory resort fee. In our experience, none of the other Hilton Brands charge a mandatory fee like this.
