Hertz rude employee at hertz

My boyfriend went to rent a car at Hertz through AAA because some girl had hit his car and he went there they didn't tell them tell him that he needed to have $50 on the debit or credit card so the girl that was working there and got rude they had already paid picked him up from the auto body place and she was just rude and told him that he had to wait to get a ride and she was cussing and everything and she called the cops on him when my boyfriend was not in the wrong it was hurts and Antioch California

Hertz hertz rent2buy program; hertz rental; hertz car sales

To whom it may concern,

I was about to purchase a vehicle through hertz car sales but after finding out that the vehicle I was about to buy did not have car mats and car cover I decided to go through the rent2buy program. I was misinformed of the following:

1) When I called Hertz Rental office in Torrance as well as Hertzrent2buy I was assured that the vehicle included car mats and cargo cover.

2) I was informed that hertzrent2buy vehicles are also hertz certified. I talked to sales and they said that they couldn't do anything about it. Nobody can even tell me when the last oil change was.

3) I was informed that as soon as I decide to purchase the vehicle I will get a reversal on my credit card for the 3 day rental. As of this time they have charged me over $700. I have basically bought the vehicle already. People keep on passing me around. Rental office said that I need to speak to sales then sales said I need to speak to rent2buy. When I called rent2buy they said it is now sales because I already purchased the car.

This is a ridiculous process and the employees that I have been dealing with do not know what they are talking about.

I will make sure to write a detailed review on yelp and social media so my nightmare will not happen to someone else.

I would like to be given the car mats and car cover that I was told was included in the car. And also to expedite my car rental refund.

Hertz customer service / condition

I have written many reviews and blogs for different media outlets and this is only the second negative review I have ever submitted.

I went to Hertz in North White Plains Westchester NY this morning ( Sunday November 12, 2017 9 am and had a very negative customer service experience with a employee by the name of Cortland, after filling out the paperwork I learned that the car I was assigned was not the car I requested and paid for in advance on line, I gave been renting cars for many years and I fully realize that you can't always get the car you requested, so I asked Cortland to car Westchester Airport to see if they had a Jeep and Cortland 's response to me was " You can call them " .

I think his initial response was unprofessional and out of line but it gets worse, I had to ask him twice more before he reluctantly picked up the phone had a twenty second conversation with Westchester County Airport in which he was told no Jeep was available. My question is why did I have to ask him three times, and why was this initial response so unprofessional and disrespectful?

I asked Cortland this exact question and his response was "Well I called".There was absolutely no reason for his unwillingness to assist me, I was the only customer in the office and I was only asking Cortland to do what I have seen other agents do at this site numerous times in the past.

After realizing I was dealing with an individual who doesn't respect his customers or his job, I went out side to exam my rental and find many scratches on the car which I don't want to be responsible for, I went back inside and inform Cortland that there are many scratches on the car and I was given a receipt detailing the damages, Cortland informed he did give me a paper and it was on my keys, I showed him my keys which clearly showed there were no receipt attached, another agent who was outside during my initial time in the office said he would take care of it and he went outside with me, walked me around the car and filled out all the damage .My question is why couldn't Cortland handle this, the second agent was a gentlemen and totally professional something Cortland wasn't.

I am enclosing photos if not only the damage on the car, but the filthy condition the exterior if the car was in, I had to take my hand and wipe the car to determine if what I was observing was dirt or damage.

I have been to this particular location dozens of times and Marge who works weekdays is the best customer service agent ever at any company in any business, BUT if they want to keep their business they have to hire employees with better customer service skills them Cortland! Was that reason why the office was completely empty this morning ?

Hertz insurance charges

Needing help hertz never told me I can place my car under my own insurance, I paid almost 2, 000 dollers on hertz insurance when I only signed contract to place the insurance for only 1 week. They charged almost 700.00. I found out by State Farm that I can the rental on my full coverage insurance I requested hertz to cancel ASAP but then noticed the charged my again a littl over 1, 200 dollars. I'm needed this to somehow be back dated from the time I had my insurance and possibly return my money back so I can pay my auto collision and pick up my car hertz took that money. This was all because of a car accident that I was not at fault the insurers car insurance in State Farm are appalled by this because the said that not only my full coverage would have covered but they as well could have covered the car. Please respond to this complaint

Hertz customer service

AAA reserved a car for me thru the Roadside Assistance. From the minute we walked thru the door we knew it was going to be a terrible experience. "Trimece" stated she could not find our reservation, so I called AAA back. Their Hertz respresentative found my reservation immediately and I put her on the phone with the location. She still refused to put me in a car because she said AAA did not do their job right and should have called to find out they did not have a compact car for me. The AAA Hertz rep said "put her in any vehicle you have"...Trimece still said NO! As I tried to advise her that I was the customer, and she had a contract with AAA, she again, continued on with how AAA did not do their job! NEEDLESS TO SAY...WE LEFT WITHOUT A RENTAL CAR! Worst experience I have ever had! She definitely needs to lose her job!

Hertz brand new 2017 toyota corolla died, unable to see my son

We pre-scheduled a mid-size car for my son's graduation from Lackland AFB. We picked up the car at the airport (Nov 1, 2017) and the customer service was wonderful. We used the car on Wed, Thurs, Friday, Saturday, and was going to be for Sunday. Unfortunately, We did not get to spend our last day with our son. We had plans to meet him at 0900 and we had brunch reservations on base; thus, none of us ate breakfast. We drove to the AFB, saw my son so proud in his dress blues; we all got back into the car and the car would not turn over. We called the emergency service number; in which we were told to stay near the car and someone would be on the base with 60-90 minutes. This wasn't happening; I wanted to see my son before we left to go back home. We stood in the parking lot and not able to do anything. Due to rules, he had to sit in the car, which was hot; both my son and I were so disappointed. We go the call that the tow truck could not get on base, even though we told them we need to have someone come on base. We walked about 1 mile to get to the gate, explain the situation and wait. Needless to say, the $40 discount did not do justice. No one offered to bring a car to us to use for the rest of our time. This is the last impression of our would be wonderful celebration. The car was filled with gas and we went about 100 miles within the days used. My reservation number is: 2017COROLLA, LIC TX JNL3443, Rental Record # [protected]. I have used Hertz for prior vacations and did not expect this type of service. I would like more of a compensation, nothing can express the feeling I have and guilt I have that I did not spend my last day with my son; he may not see his family in months due to possible being sent over seas Thank you for your consideration

Watch out for the big manger who wish he could own the store poor customer service...

Just say no! Fraud all around this branch seem to have a great scam.
1. They advertise a product (vehicles) online and on the show lot with the wrong total sale price and year (pay attention to vin).
2. Make sure you never tell them! Auto sale representative what you can afford monthly. That way the bank will give you a loan for the total sale price $ only. Better to keep low apr% & less monthly payments so you never pay more to the bank. Who wants to pay a car twice the price.
3. The sale (Representative) is not your friend this is a business not a family cookout. Be smart you are spending you family income.
4. The financing mangers did not inform us of how many banks he inquired to. Or approve and declined so if you don't want them running your credit down the hole you better off calling the banks yourself. We had fraud done to us just with 3 weeks 60 pts went off our score to many inquires to banks.
5. We asked can we check the rotators and hubs and get a print history of the maintenance done on the vehicles they inform us with nothing just giving us the run around they deleted it. So please check!
6. Always keep in mine on how long the vehicles sit on the show lot if you buy before the 90 days that the vehicle arrives great deal. They get a little check from manufacture so ask them to knock some % off the total sale price they can afford don't be lied to.
7. Also they would not let us see or give a copies off our credit application because they did not want us to see which banks they asked for a loan from also apr% and how many years to pay off due to some bank give more than other also discounts. Never get scamed look at the reveiws of banks auto loan consumer affair and bussiness better berua.
8. They only wanted us to test drive the vehicles in 2block radius lol what is the a clown dealer branch if its lemons just send to the junk yard!
9. Don' t buy fleet cars if safety issues just say no if they have recalls that have been fixed it will appered to be fixed not.
10. Do not let this place add on anything fine your own insurance and mechanic...

To whom it may concern

I am a five star gold member of Hertz. I have been a loyal client of Hertz for the last 15 years. Lately, I received a notice from Hertz saying I owed some unpaid charges for a toll in Ontario the 13th of august 2017 . I phoned to ask about this bill and explained that I was in New Brunswick during that day! My word was not good enough (!) and I had to provide receipts to prove that I was in New Brunswick the 13th of august 2017! Not having received any news from Hertz about this issue after a few days, I had to phone again, they could not say anything to me except to wait for the answer by email…

I finally received the answer that the charges had been dropped but no sorry for the error!
I am indignant and I think that a compensation is due on your part.

I look forward to your answer.

Hertz hertz certified program and my car

On September 29, 2017, I bought my 2016 used Hyundai Accord from The Hertz car sales on 16825 Katy Freeway Houston, TX 77094. With the certified program, I was reassured that if my car had any problems I would be taken care of. (This was a replacement for my flooded car, too.) Just 1 week later I was already having problems. The low tire signal came on and there was black plastic hanging down from under the hood...apparently wheel base covers. Since I'm the caretaker for my 86 year old mother and she's been in the hospital, I wasn't able to take my car to a dealer until yesterday...My battery was about to die...$175...the wheel covers needed to be replaced...around $300...and some light was broken and needed to be replaced...about $200...None of this was covered under warranty and my car is just a little over a month old! That's terrible service. I couldn't even drive my car home because the battery died there, so I HAD to replace it right away. It's bad enough that we suffered from flooding and losing just about everything, but then to sell me a car that's already in need of repairs? My budget is very limited and I depend on a car to take my mother to appointments and run errands for her. I've never bought a used car but I was reassured by previous customers that this was the best way to buy a used car. I would seriously like to request an even trade for a better car. I used every penny of my compensated money...$10, 433.40...and believe me, being a senior citizen with a hearing loss, I don't have that kind of income.

Hertz gas charge on car rental

I rented a car from Hertz in Windsor Locks Ct from 10/27/2017-10/29/2017. After finishing the paperwork in the office I was handed the key and told to pick a car in a particular lot. I have rented vehicles in the past where an agent walked me through the mechanicals on the car etc., and the interior and exterior for any damage or problems.

I was unable to return my car at the specified time since there was a severe storm in CT that day. I understand I would be charged and was fine with that. I also stopped at a gas station to fill the tank which was 3/4 full. I could not find a button or lever to open the gas cap. It was pouring rain, I didn't want to miss my flight so I just returned the car. I told the gentleman I could not find the lever to open the gas cap so I could not put gas in it. I was very annoyed and anxious I would miss my flight, so I was charged for the gas at $9.99 a gallon. All cars are different and have different ways of operating certain features. This is something that certainly should have been covered prior to my getting in the car.

I will certainly think twice before ever renting a car from Hertz in the future.

i am of the view that i was overcharged or double charged by hertz car rental.
On June 19th I purchased a voucher for my Orlando, Florida car rental at $479.00
When I arrived to at Hertz, Orlando Airport on July 2nd, 2017
I upgraded to a larger size car. I should have only been billed additional funds for a larger car and additional services. But upon payment my total charge was $682.77. I should not have been billed a second time or double pay. My bill should have only been $682.77-479.00 which is $185.77.
I should have only been billed an additional $185.77 as I had already paid $479.00 with the voucher.

Hertz unethical behaviour

My name is Kimberly Lang. I rented a vehicle from Thifty Car Rental on 10/28/2017 from Killeen Regional Airport I was told that the total of my rental plus the deposit came to a total of $420.06 for which they took the payment for off of my bank card. While I was out of town with the car another $170.06 was put on hold through my bank. I called the Rental company and they told me that their computer did not show that second charge. I was told to come in with my bank print out . I went to the Rental location on 10/31/2017 at 11am to try and get an explaination of the 2nd charge to my bank account. I spoke with the manager Shelia. I had my bank statement print outs and she was very rude and ignorant towards me. she pulled my account up and showed me the charges on her computer for the $420.06 for which I was not disputing. I did get loud with her because she would not even listen to what I was asking. after she showed my her computer I was trying to show her my bank statement that showed another pending hold on my account for the $170.06 that I was trying to get an explination about. I even stood there and called my bank infront of her because she continued to tell me that there wasnt another pending hold on my account. She would not even give me the respect to talk to the lady from the bank. She just continued to yell in the background that everything I told the lady on the phone was " thats not what I said" So then she stated disrespecting me and being even ruder about the gas and Threating me that if the vehicle wasnt returned by 4:30 that more charges were going to be charged to my account. I told her that I was going to return the vehicle as soon as I could get a clear explanation of what was going on with all the charges made to my account. so I came home and called the [protected] number on the back of the brosure that was given to me when I rented the car. A lady named Redia assisted me very well and was very polite to me. She even called the location herself and talked to Shelia about the situation. Redia came back on the phone and assisted me very well with explaining the charges to me and I thank her for that.. But as for Shelia as a manager of one of your locations that treats a customer so rudely and has no manners is very unacceptable, maybe its because I'm white because as soon as my husband went in when he got off work to try and resolve this issue she did not treat my husband( which is black) the way she treated me. If Shelia cannot conduct herself in a professional way maybe she needs to find another job. I'm very upset and feel disrespected for the way i was treated today by one of your employees and I truly hope to hear back from someone that this issue has been looked into and i do hope that Shelia gets something for the disrespect of a customer. This was noway for me to be treated as a customer that was just looking for answers. I do hope to hear back from someone in charge of Shelia and or that location. I feel if Shelia is not reprimand in some way for her actions of being completely rude to a customer whom was just seeking some answers that could have been explained very clearly then maybe customer service is not the employment for her. Hertz insurance claim

I was rear-ended by a driver who was driving a Hertz rental vehicle on September 20, 2017, on the Bronx River Parkway in New York. The renter had collision insurance with Hertz. I originally filed a claim with Geico, which transferred the claim Hertz. Hertz, after some time, transferred the claim to yet a third party, and provided me with claim number, but they have yet to fix my car. A full month has passed, and I am getting the run-around. Hertz gave me a telephone number that nobody answers. The claim number is 8B564955966587. I need assistance with this. I just want to get my car fixed.

Hertz hertz malpensa airport italy

As a group of 8 people we made a reservation for a van, 2 months ago. Confirmation no is H4364366988 for the name Zeki Mangan. Upon arrival to Malpensa airport Hertz accountant tolsuz that car is not ready due to late delivery from previous customer. We had ti wait 3 hours. And extra 30 minutes waist for 2 child seats which also reserved beforehand. Lost almost one day of our 4 days vacation. Lost our lunch reservation. Paid extra for a disgusting lunch at the airport. 2 kids and a lady with diabetes suffered.
Is it our fault? Is that not a business? Should not they be prepared and find another car?
I strongly protest that attitude. Not professional at all. Shame on them...

Hertz other charges

I rented a vehicle from 8/26-8/28 from Chicago Midway Airport Rental Agreement [protected] upon receiving my emailed receipt I noticed a $100. charge. I called & was told it was because I was smoking in the vehicle, I DON'T Smoke and no one was w/me. So I rented a vehicle from Chicago O'hare airport 10/21-10/24 Rental Agreement [protected] upon receiving me emailed receipt I noticed a $300 charge. I called & was told the vehicle was dirty, but before leaving the drop off and upon inspection I was told ashes was on the carpet a manager was called out because those were not ashes those were Pebbles from the parking lot of my job. The only time I have other charges added to a rental is when I return my vehicles to either one of our airports. Whenever I rent a vehicle from within the city limits and return it I never have a problem with extra charges, something needs to be done, someone needs to go out and see what is going on at these airport facilities . I will be writing the Better Business Bureau and I will be writing an letter to send to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Hertz charges to my credit card

I was involved in a car accident, State Farm sent me to hertz to pick up a car. At the place I was asked to sign documents and provide verification of my car insurance. The person helping asked me questions, I told him I just wanted the car that State Farm was paying for, and that I did not need any additional things. I provided my car insurance card. Now I am being told that I signed where I requested additional insurance, but that is not true, I never requested anything additional. I then found out that my credit card was charged and I believe that this person mislead me and had me sign where I was not supposed to because I did not request anything. I need this charge reversed and I would appreciate it if you better train your staff to treat with respect . I have been on the phone too many times and it seems like this is something hertz customer service likes to mistreat and not care to resolve the issue, I contacted State Farm and they are saying they paid alreDy so they don't understand why I am being charged too. All I know is that I did not request anything else and the person attending me that day also said I did not need anything, so why is my signature there? This was very misleading and I would like the charges refunded.

I will be contacting BBB and local news stations to put people aware of this.

Hertz disengage amount. didn't reply yet

Hello,

At 6/10/2017 i rent a car from Girona airport untill 09/10/2017.
The reservation number is [protected].
At the reservation they charge my credit card 200Euros foa guarandee.
I return the car ok and they told me that they will disengage that amount, but untill now
the 200 euros haven' t been disengaged.
Can you please disengage this amount.
Also can you send me the invoice with the email ([protected]@hotmail.com)
It' s the second time which i send this email. The previous one is at 19/10/2017 but they didn't reply me yet. The title of the email is:

Hertz deceptive business practices

I am being forced to cancel a trip because your rep told me I could cancel my reservation within 24hrs with no penalties. She failed to disclose Hertz would keep my pre-paid payment for nearly my entire trip. My penalty is no funds available to rent a more reasonably priced or ANY rental car, leaving me stranded at the airport, unable to drive the last 4 hrs of my journey. Cap one says their hands are tied as long as hertz hangs on to my credit card funds. I am disabled on a fixed income.

Hertz hertz paris montparnesse - cancelled booking refund

Hi, my booking confirmation number was H4180905298

First of all the main office for the location was closed and we were redirected by a sign on the door to the pickup location. The address given was incorrect and actually located at an underground carpark next to the Pullman Hotel, which was very poorly identified by signage. The staff at the agency acknowledged it was a common complaint and "something" was being done to address the issue. We had spent about 20 minutes trying to locate the venue so were late for the 9:00AM pickup.

When we were shown the car there was no familiarisation provided. A staff member then spent around 30 minutes trying to work out the in-car sat nav system. On leaving the underground carpark with no satnav signal and entering the street, the satnav system failed to function correctly. Returned to the desk and tried again, repeat of the same problems. We were then offered a TomTom portable satnav, but by this time it was 11:00 AM and not enough time to complete our day's visit to the Loire Valley so I cancelled the booking and handed back the car.

Our primary point of contact, Bruno (?) had earlier committed to provide some form of compensation on return of the car prior to my cancelling the day's hire. Given the above I expect a full refund of the original reservation of AUD117.28.

The trip to Paris was a present for my wife's birthday and we lost the opportunity to visit the Loire Valley which was very disappointing.

We have booked another Hertz car at Strasbourg for six days from 27 October. Confirmation Number is: H3030684957. I trust we will not have a repeat experience, .

Hertz rental

My rate was changed by almost double when I arrived the airport, I spent an hour looking for my car because I was given the wrong directions. I wasted another hour and gasoline because I was given the wrong directions to my destination. There is a an incorrect return rental sign when arriving back at the airport. The return site is no where near the pick up site i was never given a receipt and the staff was rude and unhelpful when I told them I was going to miss my flight because of their confusing signs. I wrote Hertz and ignored the issues I raised and basically told me to drop dead, even though I have rented from them 23_times year and paid twice the amount Avid was charging due a false sense of loyalty.

Was charged more than double that of Avid insane location, spent an hour looking for a car at the furthest reaches of ALL the rental car company's cars, was not good there are 2 Hertz lots, one nearby and one on the OTHER side of a competitor's lot. They obviously should have explained where the car was especially since it was completely dark out prior to sunrise. i wasted time and gasoline because the staff have me the wrong directions to my destination. There is a rental return sign which is completely erroneous. No one explained the return log is far from the pick up point and the airport. Staff after like they could care less when I told them I was about to miss my flight. No receipt was given as requested.
