Harvard University Employees Credit Union Been a member of HUECU since the early 90s when I worked at Harvard

Been a member of HUECU since the early 90s when I worked at Harvard. The customer service is what stands out to me. Every time I got a new car, I went through HUECU to take advantage of the payroll deduction option. The loan rates are always a good deal. A loan rep always got in contact right away to follow up to finalize the process. I feel like I'm always treated fairly, honestly, and with personalized attention.

Harvard University Employees Credit Union I had an amazin' experience workin' with HUECU for my first home mortgage

I had an amazin' experience workin' with HUECU for my first home mortgage. *** was super friendly, knew what they were talkin' about, and always got back to me quickly. Daisy and the underwriting team worked fast on my application, and I was able to close in just 3 weeks after signin' the Purchase and Sale agreement. The closin' costs and mortgage rate were also way better than what other lenders were offerin'. Overall, I highly recommend HUECU.

Harvard University Employees Credit Union Been with HUECU.org for 15+ years now, and gotta say, they've come a long way

Been with HUECU.org for 15+ years now, and gotta say, they've come a long way. From paper checks to just uploading my job check, to updating their app and getting rid of ATM fees, this FDIC Credit Union is all about making things easy for us regular folks. Harvard University Employees Credit Union HUECU has been a lifesaver for me during the ups and downs of my life

HUECU has been a lifesaver for me during the ups and downs of my life. I joined HUECU right after med school when I was interning at ***. They have a branch at the hospital which made it easy for me as a busy intern. With my Dad's help, I got my first car loan and felt proud to be part of the credit union. HUECU saw me through residency, fellowship, marriage, buying my first home, having two kids, a financially devastating divorce, and buying my first home post-divorce (they carried the home loan). They have great financial seminars, and I'm grateful my teens started HUECU checking and savings accounts. Now, as I build my forever home with another HUECU home loan, I'm humbled with gratitude for their support. I'm a lifetime member, as are my kids. As they head to college, I feel secure knowing they have HUECU's support. Being a single mom hasn't been easy, but HUECU has been there every step of the way. Thanks for being there for us during the good and bad times. I look forward to opening savings accounts for my grandkids one day. Happy Birthday! Here's to 82 more years!

I had a problem with my credit card at Harvard University Employees Credit Union. Someone made a fake charge in *** but I live in ***. They gave me a new card and said they would fix the problem. Harvard University Employees Credit Union I joined the credit union in 2003

I joined the credit union in 2003. They gave me a Harvard Alum Credit card. I spent $101000.00 on it and got points. But then covid happened and my healthcare practice closed. I spent less money. The credit union closed my card and took my points. I called them many times but no one called me back. The last person I talked to was named ***. He said a supervisor would call me but no one did. *** said my points are gone.

Harvard University Employees Credit Union I was a student back in August and September , and *** told the bureaus that I was late on my credit card payment

I was a student back in August and September , and *** told the bureaus that I was late on my credit card payment. He sent one email (attached) saying he'd delete the reports. But since then, *** hasn't responded to me for a year. When his supervisor or colleagues ask him about removing the payment, he denies ignoring me and says he's working on it. I've told ***' managers, *** and ***, many times, but they haven't done much to make sure the reports are deleted quickly. I've paid a lot of interest fees, paid off a loan, and other fees with HUECU. HUECU is doing some sneaky stuff. They say they're not like big banks and won't take advantage of you, but that's not true.

Harvard University Employees Credit Union I had a problem with my Harvard Alumni credit card

I had a problem with my Harvard Alumni credit card. After renting a car, I didn't receive my statement. I called and they said they would send it, but it never came. I called again and they said it was coming. Finally, on April 13, 2022, I received the first statement for the year. I called immediately and paid over the phone with a separate card. They added late fees, so the total was just over $1050. I asked if this would hurt my credit, but they said no. They only submit to collections when it's 30 days late. The charge was processed as paid to HUECU on April 14th. However, on May 10, 2022, I received a letter saying I was 15 days overdue. I called and spoke to someone in support services who said the card was on hold. He could see the payment received on April 20th, but they couldn't take a credit card payment unless it was a balance transfer. I asked to speak to a manager, but I never received a response. I called again and the line was broken off. I'm concerned about my credit score, but I already paid the full amount on April 13, 2022. Once this is resolved, I will cut the credit card and send a letter withdrawing from the credit union. I just need a manager to recognize the payment in full and remove any errors from my credit report.

Harvard University Employees Credit Union I had problems with HUECU when it comes to disputes

I had problems with HUECU when it comes to disputes. One dispute was with a caterer. The caterer was paid thousands, but the problematic dispute was for an installment payment of $527.39. I tried to resolve the issue with the merchant for a while and that was unsuccessful; a dispute needed to be filed. HUECU took my dispute over the phone, said they would reach out for more details as needed during the investigation, and I never heard back. I waited for months and finally called for an update. I was then informed that they never did anything with the dispute because it was not disputed within 60 days. No one had told me that prior. I wasted months of time waiting for them to investigate and they did nothing...and did not bother to inform me. I was essentially advised at that time to eat that cost of $527.39 as well as the other costs that I had already been informed I could not dispute because they were too old (paid in August ). While engaged with escalating that issue, I had another issue arise requiring a dispute. I noticed a problem with a product in a store immediately after the transaction. The manager told me she would refund the items and then momentarily changed her mind. I left the items in the store and disputed the charge on the credit card on February 24 or 25, 2020. I called several times, after hearing nothing from HUECU. I was told that they have 60 days to complete the investigation. After 60 days, I continued to call due to the experience I had previously. Each time, I was told no one had investigated the claim. I received apologies and promises that someone would call me. No One called me. I did not receive a resolution until May 22...almost 90 days later. Why they can take their time and/or totally neglect handling disputes for customers? This is not acceptable.
