I’m currently riding my third Harley, a 1999 Fat Boy. Last year I started taking it to Battle Born Harley Davidson because the guy who previously serviced it retired. Over the course of the year it’s been in for service numerous times without any issues. Then last week it stalled out while on a ride and wouldn’t restart. I used HOG roadside assistance and had it towed to Battle Born. About an hour later, I got a call from “Rick”, the service manager saying they wouldn’t work on my bike because it was “too old”. When I reminded him that they had been maintaining it for over a year he said they “changed their policy” and would only work on 2011 or newer. When a I asked him how I was supposed to get it home, his attitude was “not my problem”.
Recommendation: Don’t go here, don’t have your bike serviced here, don’t shop here, and certainly don’t buy a new motorcycle here.

Seems like are two common problems with the HD company. "Your bike is to old." I got this when trying to get my '92 FLHTC worked on. Dealer will not work on any older than 2011. Suspect that the new generations of "mechanics" are taught to read a computer diagnosis, and replace a module, rather than actually work on a non-electronic controlled bike. No one knows how to work on a carb, anymore. Second issue is the parts back order issue. Induction module/throttle body for my 2012 FLTRU needs replaced. Part on order since mid June, with numerous delays. Latest word is "sometime" after the new year, in 2027, but nothing firm as to what "sometime" is. Have been buying, riding and enjoying my various Harleys, since my first TourGlide in 1982. HD has changed. They expect loyalty from their customers but do not feel the need to repay that loyalty to their customers. Thinking that I will probably never buy another HD, unless they rapidly make a turn around. Next time it will be, probably, a GoldWing. CC
