I purchased a new Harley Davidson street bob in late July. When I pulled out of the dealership the front wheel had a bad wobble to it so bad I just about lost. I returned to the dealership(Harley Davidson Of Dallas) and they replaced the front rim. This problem was never logged on there system.
On October 8th 2008 I was riding this motorcycle to work and the 6 shoulder bolts that hold the rear sprocket on had worked their way out and jammed between the sprocket and the swingarm causing the rear tire to lock up doing about 45mph . I had just got off the freeway doing 65mph. I had to take the bike to The dealer and have them tell me this was not their fault, but since my bike was under warrenty they would fix it. I called Harley in Wisconsin and explained to them and they could care less. I missed two days of work over this issue, not to mention the money I was out on getting the bike to the dealership. I explained I do not feel safe at all on this motorcycle anymore. I just had the 5000 mile checkup 5 days prior to this incident. I ride the bike a 100 miles round trip m-f to work and back. I fear it wont get me there as it has not twice already. Harley Davidson offered me a $100 doller in store credit for my losses and I declined. My attorney is now involved and Harley completley misses the safety issue with this all together. A 100 dollers are you kidding me, I make that in 2 hours being at work. They have cost me more than that, they have cost me my trust with their product. They could care less about my safety or yours.

Bought Harley suspenders a little while ago.. Don't know who manufactures them but they are crap !! They seem to snap just fine but then they slip right off the pants.. I have had Harleys for years and have purchased more clothing and accessories then I care to think about and I am very disappointed in the quality of these suspenders..

i bought an 07 road king standard from h.d. of fort meyers 3 months ago, wasnt the bike i wanted, i wanted a blue road king classic, but i had no use for the leather bags, they dont last if you really ride. i wanted them to work a deal with me on a set of hard bags, then i would be all set to go. they said no way, they couldnt do anything like that i should buy the standard and then i would have my bags. they could have sold me a set of bags off another bike in the back, and orderded them a set, but no is what i got...not cooperation. then i asked for a ride out tag ..because im from oregon and a tax deferment, because in oregon they dont tax you to death on tags. the so called asst. sales mgr. ralph sais no way! ok so we went on. then later that night his girl friend calls her dad, who i was staying with, was ranting about the coustmer that wanted to get out of taxes. so this stuf folled me home...on top of that, they held 100.00 dollars of mine till they got the title from my old bike, ok, they got the title in a couple of days and i went up the road. never got the check that randy the sales mgr. said i would get. a month went by, 2 months no money, i called and talked to a finance guy and he said ...in somany words checks in the mail ha ha . i called acouple weeks later and talked to yet another finance guy, and he said he would resolve it and gat back to me...ha ha again. i went back to h.d. of ft. meyers yesterday and went in to the org. fin. girls office and told her i didnt like being jerked around, so she went and got ralph!!! and he brought his large attitude back to me and tole me to calm down!!! he is the one with the att...so if you buy a bike from h.d. of fort meyers, dont expect anything after the sale!!!

My father was a custom bike builder and repairman for about twenty five years (give or take) From the 70's to the 90's, and he said the very same thing these guys have. Very poor quality product for what is paid. Engines blow left and right(mostly thrown roda and cracked pistons), bad transmissions, WRONG SIZE BOLTS EVERYWHERE, and way overpriced accesories. He wouldn't even consider buying a harley as long as we were both alive together! He however was a fan of the triumph bikes and indians. When ever he would build someones bike, if it was a harley he would automaticly tear out the engine and transmission, give them back to the costomer and order a better quality engine and transmission. He always said that for the amount of money spent in repairs and accesorories you could have a much better quality bike custom made. Another thing he told me was to keep an eye out for the bikes you'll see on the side of the freeway, it will always be a harley. no ###, everytime i've ever seen a bike broken down on the road anywhere it has always been a harley. It makes me laugh when I hear harley owners make fun of the other bike owners e.i. honda, kawasaki, suzuki... Because after thier done it takes them about ten minutes to get thier pride and joy running. I'm not knocking harley, they make beautiful LOOKING machines, but they ARE a rip off for the money. I am trying to be fair and not sway toward a specific other company, buy for the money there are TWO newer AMERICAN bike builders that are making beautiful looking sounding and running bikes. I'm not going to name them but if you are a motorcycle fan you already know who they are! Even the asian bikes look comperable, and have always out performed them.

whats your laywers name and tel number? i bought a new 2008 rocker c which is all together a different bike.i had a wobble at 75 mph while my friends were going 100mph and laying back while i couldnt reach my blinker because i was afriad i would [censored]. 4 times later 20 hours and their top dog said nothing wrong.try getting rid of the windshield. come to find out after i got rid of the extended warrenty that they used 7/16 bolts in the 1/2 bushing hole for the triple tree and habndle bars. i had a pvt dealer do my work.it cost me big money to fix what was under warrenty. they only get paid so much for warrenty and no one knows how to work on the new bikes never mine the old ones. i have all the paper work.they scratched my new fender, cost me alot of riding time and money. the person who put the bike together never tighten the head fall nuts, pinched something in the front wheel so it rolled hard and put the wrong nuts in the steering bushings.i found this out because i have alot of work done to fix thios problem.cut my new windshield down 4 inches, h.d fork fluid which fixed the pinch in the front and new handle bars where we found the wrong bolts in the bushings.$2100.00 for this bike plus my time and more money to fix what was under warrenty, which their top dog said that theirs nothing wrong.plus when they put these new h.d saddle bags on, they never gave me the extra peaces they took of. and now im putting a new seat on and the saddle bags wont fit and i need the peaces they took of and never gave me. and this is my first h.davidson.this stinks. frank on cape cod in mass
