We began inquiring with Walk Away Assurance in January 2025 regarding the 10 year option that would be up in September 2025. Using the website from the initial paperwork we signed, we began a 5+ month back and forth providing information and eventually money to pay 'Mexican Federal and Local' taxes for the sale. Once that was done, they ghosted us. As we are still owed $28,000 (approx), we will soon begin consulting lawyers in Mexico to address this.
Claimed loss: About $28,000
Desired outcome: A complete and total return of money as promised in the initial contract. Other funds sent to what may have been a scam would be desired as well.

My wife and I are experiencing the same defaulting behavior on the same time line and similar dollar amount
We paid for a buyout and have a contract number and have provided all documentation requested. In mid Oct, all communication ceased. It is abundantly clear to me, as an attorney, that this is an and unfair and deceptive trade practice and I intend to pursue my rights which I believe should involve far more than the original amounts contracted for.
