I ordered several items from FreePeople online shop. The shoes I ordered were way too small and the jewelry was rubbish and looked nothing like the pictures on their website. I contacted their customer service and asked for a refund. So I returned everything. It took almost two months for me to finally get a refund and the only reason why I got it was that I opened a dispute through PayPal. Absolutely terrible customer service. They even threatened to not issue my refund until I closed my case with PayPal. I'll never order anything from them again!

This is the most terrible company I have ever shopped with. I've purchased several items from FreePeople and paid over $500. When my order arrived one item was missing, so I had to pay some additional custom fees and taxes to get it. FreePeople is customer unfriendly and very unprofessional, their reps are not helpful at all. They don't reply, ignore and don't want to help. I paid extra money to get the missing item, but they never even shipped it!
I will never ever order from this unfriendly website again. Very poor customer service.

Awful company. I have placed the order on the website www.freepeople.com. It turned out that money was taken twice from my card. I emailed the customer services and the rep excused and promised money back. However, the company hasn’t returned money back, but they have cancelled the order. Both of them and stopped to communicate with me. I need my money back and have no idea what to do next.
dresses didn't look as on the website
I ordered 3 dresses from the website www.freepeople.com. I was so disappointed, when I got the order from them. The dresses were too large for me and it didn’t look as on the website. I tried to return the order and get money back, but the seller refused and spoke with me in horrible manner. Not recommended website and post comments about your experience with them. Thanks.

I returned an item on Thursday August 17th and it arrived to their warehouse in S. Carolina on Monday, August 20th. I contacted them 2 days later about a refund, and they told me to wait 5 days for it. I did so, and when I realized my return wasn't processed on August 28th, I emailed the CS again. They never responded. Typical. Either this company is trying to SCAM me out of my $40, or they're ignoring all my emails. Either way, it looks FP is losing business over this and their Customer Service went from good, to downright garbage. I already filed a claim with PayPal and I WILL file a chargeback with my bank if my money isn't returned to me. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY unless you like the item enough to keep it, or if you have a FP boutique near you, so you can return the item in-store. I'm never shopping with this website ever again!

Ordering easy. Deliveries of one order is split making returns very difficult. The website/app repeatedly jumble up orders and returns, give incorrect information to Klarna and Customer Service is dreadful.
This site takes the money and does not return it to its owner if the order is canceled! I canceled my order for more than 2 weeks and still haven't got my money back! And every time I ask about the reason for the delay, they say after 3 days it will be returned until I complete the two weeks and I am still waiting! Scam site!
Horrifying to all of us normal women to use underfed, underweight female models. It's mystifying for this era of 2022 to see such objectification of female typing when we know so clearly this is terrible and unhealthy 'role casting' and affects the health of the models and impressionable younger female shoppers. STOP IT - !
Unfortunately, I am not the only one. I have so many bad experiences and here's the latest one:
Wrong item was sent, returned it, and no response or refund. I dispute the charge for the item through my credit card company and my money was finally refunded. However, they told me that they wouldn't take my order any longer due to "the past activity"...because you believe I am a thief?
They have sent me wrong items at least 3 times in the past. I ordered a $200 leather bag but instead, there was a shirt in a plastic bag says, "leather bag." Before that, I ordered a $399.95 bag and I was charged $559.95. I wouldn't let this $200 go this time.
I showed UPS website and told them that the package they sent weigh only 1 pound according to UPS but it was supposed to be 4 pounds IF the bag was ACCTUALLY shipped.
Free People WILL NOT REFUND your money unless you dispute the charge with your credit card company. Customer service reps won't resolve any of my problem since they don't even read what I am complaining about.
I will contact BBB, the state attorney general's office, and my local consumer advocacy community. Money will be taken unless you complain but they will kick you out if you complain.
I am from Canada, making it difficult to contact the actual company in the first place! They want me to keep using the general service email, when all I want to do is talk to them on the phone and have THEM resolve their mistake. In November, they shipped me the wrong item. I shipped it back, had to pay for shipping, told I would be reimbursed, and have them item shipped to me. Instead, the company refunded me HALF of what I paid for shipping (days after I inquired about where the refund was) and then shipped me the wrong item AGAIN! So now, I have to deal with the entire process again. This will have cost me $100 to ship, and I will likely get back a portion of the shipping, PLUS I will be without the item because I do not want to try my luck with this company again. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. I have tried to contact management, but their emails do not work and the ones that do will not get back to me.
The funny thing is, the customer service department emailed me back the first time telling me they would send me a prepaid sticker so that I didn't have to pay for shipping. Then a month later (I gave leeway to the delivery time because of the holiday rush) I sent another email asking where my sticker was, and the individual who responded told me that they don't send them to Canada- only within the USA. WHY WOULDN'T SOMEONE HAVE TOLD ME THIS WHEN THEY MESSED UP IN THE FIRST PLACE? That means the person who initially emailed me didn't even check that I was from Canada, and didn't bother taking care of my order. Same with the return item... I got the EXACT SAME THING returned to me that was INCORRECT. Did they just slap a sticker on the thing I sent back? I will never, ever order from this website again, and I urge everyone else to stay away from it if you are an international "customer". They don't even consider you a customer after they've taken your money.
I went to the store (Tyson Corner, VA) hoping to get a refund on my online order. Big mistake, they said they can't give me a refund because I paid through paypal instead the sale associate offered to mail my return for me and to email me the tracking no. I'm like this is cool. Anyway, this is the third day and nothing, I haven't received any email. I called the sale associated and now she said she gave it to her manager to mail it. WTF? I might need to file a formal complaint.
I agree completely - although it has been an entire 30 days since I returned an item and have not yet received a REFUND! Horrible company and customer service, they sound like teenagers sitting in their home living rooms. Do not shop here!
Make that 6 days now! And they refuse to answer emails too. STAY AWAY! Unless you want to get scammed!
now it's been 4 days and I STILL have not received my refund! I emailed them and they ignored my emails. These companies are a fraud and a scam. Never deal with these idiots again nor will I continue to buy their products. STAY AWAY FROM THEM! They don't care for their customers!
