F150
We purchased a two door F150 for our son to drive to collage. It has around 32000 miles on it and is 27 months old. It is still under warranty.
I took the truck to Wray Ford in Bossier City, La on February 25, 2022, because the skid plate under the engine is torn. It is made of felt. Why anyone would put a felt skid plate on a truck (much less a 4-wheel drive truck) is beyond belief.
The service manager, Austin, said it is not covered under the warranty because it can tear from driving the vehicle. The service tech told me there had been several other trucks brought in with the same issue, but they do not write them up. They just tell the customer they are not covered.
I called customer service at Ford Corporate and spoke with Star Henry on Friday, February 25, 2022 at 12:44 PM. She called Austin at Wray Ford to ask about the issue. Star Henry said she was told by Austin that they do not warranty the felt skid plate because it can tear from driving. Ms. Henry said if the dealer said it is not covered, then it is not. She said if something is covered or not is up to the service manager.
The service tech at Ford also told me that if we remove the felt skid plate that the engine warranty will be voided. So, now I have a defective part that has failed and is necessary for the engine to have a warranty. How is this not covered by the warranty if it is necessary and tears by driving the truck. We purchased the truck to drive.
Why is there not something in writing that tells everyone what is covered by an bumper to bumper warranty? I asked if there was someone else I could speak with about this matter. Ms. Henry said no, that she has the final say in the matter.
Really? Star Henry is the final word on anything she discusses?
The felt skid plate under the F150 should be a recall item and everyone should be provided with a metal skid plate (covered by Ford).
Desired outcome: Replaced the felt skid plate under our truck under warranty. I would like someone to contact me about this issue.
Not good service - Ford Tygervalley
It really do not like complaining, it takes time out of my day, but after receiving bad service the second time around, it is not just a once off mistake it is a badly run business.
In November 2018 my car broke down and it was towed to Ford Tygervalley, they could not help me or look at my car until the January 2019. This not really being the problem, the problem is that when I called the lines were busy, no one got back to me and when I EVENTUALLY got hold of someone they told me that news, ok fine, towed my car elsewhere and got it fixed.
Saturday my car broke down, towed my car to Ford Tygervalley again, where did it start going sour, called Ford after 8am, the reception lady, who clearly does not like her job or talking to people, kept putting me through to the service department with no answer from their side, after the 3rd attempt she asked me to call back after 9am due to vehicles being booked in.
I informed her that it is quite urgent, my car is being towed there and I just want to inform someone, once again being told sorry call back after 9am, a I really do not care attitude and do not make your problem mine.
After my car was dropped off and booked in by the person who towed it there because I could still not get hold of someone, I left it thinking someone would call me back.
I called after 12, service phone just ringing, called after 14h00, eventually got hold of someone who could assist, and was told they can only look at my car in 2 weeks time, on the 14th of March, if the situation was treated with better customer service it would not have been so upsetting to have have to wait 2 weeks for my car just to be looked at, but at this point I have no words.
Once again having my car towed elsewhere at extra cost, if someone could have informed me of the long wait, when I called the morning - more than 3 times, I would have towed it elsewhere from the beginning.
Another thing if you are transferring someone don't just say hold and dial another number, tell them where they are being transferred to instead of just trying to get rid of them as soon as possible, the phone call was cut off 4 times because of all the transfers.
When you buy a car you buy the after service as well and to be honest as soon as my car is fixed I am selling it, the absolute horrible, I don't care attitude is of putting, when your car breaks down it is stressful, when you deal with bad, I don't car service it get worse.
We are a ford family, my dad, my husband, my sister and I, my mom was looking at buying the new Ford EcoSport and now none of us will ever buy Ford again!
Desired outcome: Sort out our client services, buying a car is damn expensive, having staff treat customers like they bought a R10 chocolate isn't the way to go
Not having adequate and prompt service on my wife's 2021 Ford Explorer
This past Christmas me and my wife had taken a drive to Phoenix from our home in Snowflake, Az. On our trip I could not avoid a piece of firewood that was on the road which I did ran over it with both driver side wheels (front and back) tires instantly deflating.
After being towed to Payson, Az and staying in hotel over night the next morning we went to Steve Coury Ford tire shop to have the vehicle repaired. The vehicle is still under warranty and has extra coverage. The manager at the tire shop discovered that both the front and back rims were bent and therefore the tires went flat on impact and being a new vehicle the parts had to be ordered.
In short, up to this day the vehicle has not been repaired and still sits in the shop at Payson, Az.
>dropped calls/hang ups from corporate when trying to get things going
>technical data on the vehicle not properly matching the existing wheels on the new vehicle
>poor customer service in not assisting with the problem after the vehicle has been bought and still under warranty.
>Steve Coury tire shop manager getting the run around in trying to get the proper parts for the vehicle
>no updates or cooperation from corporate whatsoever.
So far, I am totally dissatisfied and upset with the business Ford's standard of customer service.
My wife cannot enjoy her new vehicle and there was no courtesy call or anything that could help resolve the problems now in existance.
2017 Ford Escape
Dear Team,
On 02/23/2022 I noticed a large area of paint peeling around the main windshield of my 2017 Ford Escape. I care for this car meticulously. In researching online I've discovered that this is a very, very common problem for this make and model, but Ford has offered no solution. I hope that this can be fixed by the company at no cost to me.
Jon Valentine
Desired outcome: Repainting of area. Five year guarantee to repaint any other areas that suffer same.
I am complaining about a part(s) for my 2013 ford focus
Greetings, ford company, on june 4,2021, I was on my way from an appointment when my vehicle started slowing down to 15-20mph. While driving on intersate 95n; I felt the car lose momentum suddenly, sounding as if I was driving uphill? It wouldn't "shift" to the normal driving mode. So immediately pulled over to the slow lane, with flashers on as I called my local ford dealership "park city ford"., inwhich I was instructed to bring it in, so a couple of days went by waiting for a proper diagnosis, and on june 7,2021 I was told it was a malfunctioned"computer chip" so then the needed part would be ordered and shipped. As weeks went by, and I continued to stay in contact with the service tech, he then stated to me that "the shipping" of parts would take longer because of "shipping" is slowed because of the pandemic.. So I was given a loaner car inwhich i'm appreciative of, but as months went by waiting on the part to arrive just to be told 7months later february 2022,"ms. Johnson, I don't think that your car/ part can be fixed, because of the manufacter. So I suggest that you purchase another car or purchase the"loaner" your currently driving. As I held my composure my heart skipped a beat, because i've been patiently waiting for repairs, expecting to have my vehicle repaired. @ndly, as a consumer of a ford vehicle, I earnestly feel that responsibility of an manufactered part(s) that are unreachable etc. Should not be my responsibility please help me laverne johnson [protected]@gmail.com [protected]
Desired outcome: please r.s.v.p/
Numerous Issues described below
I purchased a 2017 Escape, it does not even have 90,000 miles and has had the transmission replaced, is on its third engine, and not the computer screen has gone out. I contacted Ford and they are not willing to do anything. Don't ever buy a Ford, they DO NOT stand by their product. This is coming from a loyal Ford customer who has purchased numerous Ford's over the years. NEVER AGAIN!
Desired outcome: I requested Ford extend the warranty on this vehicle and they refused. If they want me to continue to be a customer they need to do the right thing.
Versant power
Mayan wondering why it's legal Ford electric company to basically set their own prices on everything during the pandemic our electricity prices have gone up I know of several people who have had to take out a loan just to pay the electric bill electricity especially here in America is a basic human need and it should not be so expensive that people need to take out a loan to pay it I am here by myself I'm the only one who lives here and I'm getting my bill has gone up anyways 45 to $50 a month and I'm struggling to pay that so my complaint is the fact that they have no real reason 2 set the prices so high and it seems to me that verse in power seems to have a monopoly on electricity here and they have the sole reason why we're getting negative ads about the power cord or Here Maine and as a resident here we feel helpless to this anyways my basic issue is the fact that there are people here in this area elderly people that are struggling to afford to pay their electric and my fear is if they can't pay are they actually going to take their basic needs away from them electricity is a basic needs
Desired outcome: To find out what I can do to make it so people like me who are by themselves don't struggle with paying the basic needs of their life and I don't know how to go about having them I don't know audit my bill because it just seems too much
Extended service plan
I bought a PremiumCare Ford extended service plan from Ted Britt Ford on 9/17/21 for my 2012 Grand Cherokee. In February my water pump went out and I took it to my local ASE Certified mechanic. The auto shop has tried for 5 days to reach the ESP to get approval. They have waited over 2 hours on the phone and left their number for them to call back to no avail. I tend to think this is Ford ripping off their customers. Afterall if you can't get approval they won't have to pay for repair.
Desired outcome: Contact my Auto shop
2014 ford focus
Transmission issue with my 2014 Focus again January 2022. When I purchased the 2014 Focus, 6 months later took Tom Ford Indianapolis because jerking issue with my transmission. Tom Ford Indianapolis said they were aware of the issue and repaired under the warranty coverage.
Received several letters from Ford about an extended warranty about the same issue. I believe it should have been a recall but Ford continue to extend warranty
When I took my 2014 Focus with the same issue to Tom Wood Ford in Indianapolis in Feb 2022, they would agree to repair but I would have to pay out of my pocket.
Tom Wood Ford said the warranty expired. They had me call customer service with no luck
I asked to speak with Zone Manager and refused to give me her/his name. Customer service stated I could get the zone manager from Tom Wood Indianapolis. Tom Wood would not give me the Zone Manager’s contact number
Desired outcome: Zone Manager’s name and contact information
Ford Premium Extended Warranty
I had purchased premium expended warranty from Ford dealer. It supposed to be $100 deductible for any service. Brought my car for service my heat is not working. They say there is leak on radiator hose. They say warranty do not cover. hose parts and installation will cost 2300. They kept on saying they will not approve. This service is so bad.
Desired outcome: they kept on saying it will not cover. You can look at the the warranty it covers all.
Service
They are a bunch of thieves my Ford ranger 3.2 auto is still with them they can't find the problem but want to charge me a arm and a leg today it's 13th.,2,2022.still waiting even tho I have a warranty they still want to rip me off when I have a better answer for them. When I ask the sales guy for all my parts they going to strip he looked very surprised. I'm not done with them Ford in diepriver I'm Mr p Gelant very very unhappy client. The fact that when I heard a knock noise from my car after the service I told the technician right there before I left off the floor with my van he tells me to drive it for few days with that noise mybe it will go away because the service was just done. Then two weeks later my van I is totally [censored]ed up and now I must pay 28000 rand for 5 new injectors what the [censored] up it is I'm going to post this viral if u have anyone that wants to no more about this event I'm happy to tell u the whole story my contact info is [protected] Peter. I'm very pissed off.
Desired outcome: For my car to be fixed properly
2017 Ford Escape Titanium Paint Delamination
MY 2017 Escape with 19,000 miles on it has the paint peeling (delaminating) around the windshield. In January, 2022, my dealer told me it is not a recall item nor is it a warranty item even though they've seen it before and wants $800.+ to fix this problem. I think that is absurd as it is clearly a fault with the original painting process and should be addressed by the factory..
Desired outcome: Ford should authorize this repair at no charge to me.
2017 Ford Escape paint peeling around windshield
I have a 2017 Ford Escape that I have had for almost 2 years 3 months into owning the car the paint around the windshield is peeling and rusting and getting worse I did contacted Ford when this first happened and they would not cover it even when many others have complained I still owe 15000 on this vehicle I shouldn’t be responsible for getting it fixed since you won’t make this right I am now going to take you to small claims court not a threat I have no other opinion I will never buy a Ford again .sincerely Lisa Drinkwater [protected] or [protected]@yahoo.com
Desired outcome: Want it repainted around area of the windshield were it’s peeling.
Overprice
Ford dealers are overpricing your new vehicles I have been a ford owner and on my 4th new truck but I will not be buying a new Ford Truck this year it will be from another manufacturer because of the overpricing of your dealers.
I have talked to 5 Ford Dealers and all of them are overpricing your product I am very disappointed in the way that Ford has let the dealers do what they are doing in times like we are having!
I have not been out of work any because of the pandemic and to let your dealers overprice just so they can make more money off of people like me it not going to happen to me!
Have a good day!
Thanks
Windale
When will Ford put a stop to the overpricing?! This is insane! I was going to buy a new Bronco...I found the one I wanted...the advertised price was $40,650 right in my budget and I was ready to drive 2.5 hours to get it and then I click on the check availability button and there it is...the DEALERS PRICE $62,090! WHAT?! I'm over it! So completely frustrating! These dealerships are so money hungry!
Ford ESP warranty
On 2/4/2022 I purchased gas for my car 10 min later my car died and would not crank again. I called Ford warranty they towed my car to shop. 3 days later I am told I had water in my gas and this is not covered (of course) that’s how it is in America now you pay for a product but the receiver of your money doesn’t have to produce the service you are paying for. I am 60 yr old disabled lady and my car died leaving me on the side of the road. My car was broke. I paid $3,000 to Ford and they gave me nothing in return. Buyer beware do not purchase this warranty.
Desired outcome: Pay the $500 to fix my car
2017 Ford Escape
Paint chipped on passenger side of windshield. Paid for repair back in August of 2021. Now January, and paint is chipping on the other side. Big chips, looks awful. You people need to have integrity and take ownership for your faults. Yes, this is a very common problem and you know it. YOUR FAULT
Do what is right. These cars are out there with your name on them. They all look like this.
Desired outcome: Ford needs to reimburse customers for paint repairs. Not some small amount that does not cover the damages.
Recall notice 21s32 / dot # 2021-438
I received an "Important Safety Recall" letter from Ford Canada dated Sept.13, 2021 informing me that although my 2014 Ford Explorer had previously been inspected for a safety issue - Recall 20S62, they now were asking for owners to bring their vehicle back into a Ford Dealership for an "additional interim inspection". The recall issue is described by Ford as one which: "could result in loss of steering control, increasing the risk of death". The letter noted that repair parts were currently unavailable, however were expected to be available at the "beginning of the end of the fourth quarter 2021".
When I contacted the local Ford Dealership after receiving the Sept.2021 dated letter, the Dealership told me that "they had no parts" to repair the vehicle so it was "pointless for me to bring the vehicle in for an inspection
". I did press the Dealership Manager on the letter instruction noting that parts were not available however that owners were being asked to bring their affected vehicles in regardless. The Manager acknowledged having read the letter however restated that it was pointless to bring the vehicle in despite what the Recall letter stated.
We are now well past "the beginning of the end of the fourth quarter of 2021" and no further correspondence on Recall 21S32 has been received from Ford.
Given the serious nature of the Recall issue, I am dumbfounded with the manner in which Ford is handling the issue.
Desired outcome: Vehicle Inspection / Repair
Just had my 2016 Explorer fixed on this recall In Maquoketa Iowa at the Ford dealer. Two other repairs needed which I paid for. After leaving dealer we drove 2,000 miles on family accident coming home to find Passenger side tires warn on exterior edge. And same on driver side tire. I took vehicle back to dealer and found that they said they did alignment but that it was not done on sight as they share with another dealer. Now I have tworn tires above normal due to something and a customer service advisor that says nothing was done wrong BUT they will help with discounted or free mounting and balancing. My Explorer was checked in with all good tires prior to recall. Who can I trust money is tight and I now need to look at buying new tires.
Ford is horrendous, with a capital h!
I am typing this review due to the lack of another platform where I can complain about ford. I drove my ford focus to the workshop of bb ford menlyn south africa / bb group menlyn south africa on 7 january 2022 for purposes of mechanical repairs. Bb ford menlyn phoned me the very same day to inform me that they have pushed my vehicle to their wash bay (prior to mechanical repairs), where the guy did not pull up the hand brake of the vehicle infront of mine (uphill) and the front car rolled back into my vehicle and my vehicle's door need to be replaced! Bb ford menlyn promised me (in an email) a courtesy car for the time my vehicle will be at their panel beater and afterwards revoked their promise when it came to that point. I have phoned ford sa about a courtesy car who would also not assist. It is 2.4 weeks today without a vehicle. My vehicle is still at their panel beater. Bb ford menlyn does not provide me with any feedback, and it is a struggle to get any feedback out of them. They said my vehicle will return from their panel beater yesterday. When I phoned their panel beater myself, their workshop informed me that my vehicle will maybe be done within two more days! It is bb ford menlyn fault that my vehicle's door needs to be replaced, they don't care about my inconvenience caused by their utter incompetence. It has been 2.4 weeks now since I parked my car at their workshop for mechanical repairs and there is no eta. The service is horrendous. Their quote for mechanical repairs is horrendous as well. The model code of my vehicle is incorrect. They quoted on a vehicle part that has been discontinued and the eta for the said part is 2022/12/31! I will never take my vehicle to bb ford menlyn again. Bsi job card no b-0013002, job card no rf090417
Desired outcome: Desired outcome: That BB Menlyn Ford phones me, keeping me up to date with the progress on my vehicle, provide me with an ETA and let me drive away at no cost
Paint coming off around windshield
2017 Lightning Blue Escape.
Like everyone else, the paint is coming off on both sides by windshield. I jave an extended warranty, Ford tells me to go *bleep* myself they don't care. They will not fix my issue. The Ford dealer won't do anything to help either.
Any info on a lawyer that will help, or a class action, let me know.

Desired outcome: Get my car fixed
2017 ford 150 rim coating peeling off
I purchased a 2017 Ford F-150 from Woody Anderson Ford in Huntsville Al in July 2019 with additional warranty and since the purchased have noticed a discoloration on all 4 rims along with peeling of the coating. I have attempted to contact the dealership and THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE! I leave messages with my contact number and NEVER GET A CALL BACK! This is the 3rd F150 I have purchased and the 2nd one from Woody Anderson and deeply disappointed that Ford Motor Company will not resolve an obvious manufacturing issue. If this is not resolved and a recall issued I will trade in for a GMC and spread the word on all social media platforms and I'm sure my combined 9.2 million followers will be interested in my thoughts.
Desired outcome: Fix the problem with coating peeling of rims
