Dear flynas Customer Care,
I am writing to formally request compensation under the GACA Passenger Protection Regulations for the disruption of my journey under booking reference BC5ZRG
My original travel itinerary was as follows:
• Flight XY 38 – Jeddah (JED) to Riyadh (RUH) – 7 August 2025 – Departure 20:25 – Arrival 22:15
• Flight XY 327 – Riyadh (RUH) to Kozhikode (CCJ) – 8 August 2025 – Departure 00:45 – Arrival 08:20
Due to a delay on Flight XY 38, I missed my connection to CCJ and was rebooked to travel on 10 August 2025 — resulting in a delay of more than 50 hours in reaching my final destination.
While I appreciate that flynas provided hotel accommodation and meals during the wait, the significant delay on an international journey booked under a single ticket caused major inconvenience, loss of time, and disruption to my plans.
According to Article 23 of the GACA Passenger Protection Regulations, for delays exceeding 6 hours on international flights where the delay is caused by the carrier, passengers are entitled to compensation of up to 150% of the ticket value for the affected segment, in addition to care and assistance.
As my JED → RUH delay directly caused the missed connection and extended delay to CCJ, I therefore request:
1. Compensation in accordance with Article 23 of the GACA Passenger Protection Regulations.
2. Confirmation of the exact compensation amount and payment timeline.
Please confirm receipt of this complaint and advise on the compensation process.
Sincerely,
Muhamed Favas Kalliyattil
